We camp here all the time with large groups of kids. Lots to do. Easy camping. Hook ups. Splash pads. Bike and scooters.

Everything.. 1. Have a noticed at entrance of park stating that there is 2 lines both cash and credit. Although I don't understand why you can't pay either on same line... " very shady " and this way it would avoid fights at the line with cars moving from one lane to another, because of their preferred payment 2. 8am and the bathroom at the snack bar is closed because bathroom is out of order. I wouldn't have a problem with going to another bathroom but I am recovering from 3 back surgeries. I can barely walk on my walker so I stayed close to bathroom and it turns out that its closed and now I have to walk to the other side of the lake, making my pain more aggravating. Like most of us that come prepared and ready to have a Great time, it would be nice if just once, the park can focuse on fixing and preparing bathrooms to make them ready for us to use. I'm not asking for much, but it shows that this park in general only prefers making money. And they really don't give a shit about anything or anyone but themselves. 3. They know how many parking they have, and people are parking on grass because of lack of parking spaces and they have the nerve, the audacity to ask people to ind parking spaces when there aren't any left and of course, that's when all of a sudden " we don't do refunds" This place sucks........... Tent camping (not group tent) sites are RV sites, so you're surround by lots of RVs! Fishing: need a state license and their private license and No fishing after 5pm! Lake closes when the park closes even if you have a campsite! Ranger only allows you to be at your campsite- night security drives around, too. For safety reasons I guess- you're camping near a prison- you can hear alarm bells and guards on their speaker/megaphones. Wood fires are allowed! Hooray for this! read more

Prado Regional Park - Hiking Near Me - Chino, California

Prado Park is located off the 71 FWY off Euclid. I believe their new prices as of May 2025 are now $10/vehicle on weekdays and $15/vehicle on weekends & special events. $3/pedestrian, $1/dog must be on a 6' leash at all times. They list all fees on their website FYI. The park is huge! It offers picnic facilities, biking, kid's playground, hiking, fishing, camping, trails, and more. It has a meeting room that seats up to 80 people and can be used for parties, or simply gatherings. I also noticed additional offerings such as an equestrian center, disc golf course, archery and shooting ranges. Don't expect to see pretty, colorful flowers but the park is nice and clean. Some areas will have gopher holes, watch your step. Staff do their best to keep the park enjoyable, which it is. Overall, it's always a great, relaxing time at Prado Park. read more

I take the kids here probably 3-4 days a week during the summer. It's a great place for the kids to run around, fish, catch mosquito fish and just get dirty. We love to go and relax and take pictures and fish. The people that work here are nice and have always been welcoming. My only cons are people don't clean up after themselves and leave their trash and bait trash and fishing line everywhere. My kids find tons of hooks, lures, trash and tons of random things just laying on the ground. If you're going to just fish in hopes you'll catch a ton of fish good luck. We go for 8 hours and will either catch nothing or maybe a small catfish. When we used to go a few years ago we would catch a lot of fish a day. This is a nice looking county park with lots of open space, parking, and a lake. The park offers picnic areas with grills, playground, fishing, camping, and trails for hiking and bicycling. There's also a multi-purpose room that's available for rental, as well as restrooms. Vehicles pay an admission fee of $10-20, depending on day of enrry. read more

We love to camp in our RV here, a lot of nice upgrades but we were over run with pincher bugs, ie earwigs at our camp site. Be prepared to battle them with insect spray n blower, but they are everywhere this year, be sure to stamp your chairs out as they crawl up in chairs n like to hide where dark. This review is specifically for the rental of onsite rv. My husband and I rented an rv here it was spot RV-63. I have rented RVs that they drop off at other campgrounds but this is first time renting one here. The RV itself was ok but maybe my expectations were high because of our past experiences renting RVs for drop off which were much nicer (but more expensive). This RV sleeps 6 but I would say that would be a little tight if it is 6 adults or teenagers. I wasn't able to sleep on the queen size bed with my husband because they stacked two mattresses on the bed and it made it too high for me to get on. I slept on the small couch that makes into a bed but honestly it was more comfortable sleeping on it as a couch so that's what I did on second night. The mattresses for the single bunks seemed like they were after market purchases that were too long for the bunks. If you have sleeping bags I would recommend bringing them because the mattresses are all heavy plastic covered. The bathroom was tight. The camp personnel do a walk thru with you at check in and the woman who did the walk through kept emphasizing needing to clean the rv before checkout specifically emphasizing cleaning the toilet so bring Clorox wipes and gloves (gross). Checkout was a little frustrating because we had to drive to the main gate and then had to wait 30+ minutes for someone to check us out. You cannot call from RV site because we were told their phone system does not work. Would I rent again? Maybe....better than a tent! Cost was $160/night plus $10 reservation fee and a $300 RV cleaning/damage deposit that was credited back to my credit card in about 5 days. read more

The only thing this park has going for it is a newly renovated playground and splash pad. Otherwise, the grounds are so poorly maintained and run-down that there is zero reason to visit. Grass areas are completely destroyed by gopher holes and dry weeds, and I'm not sure how any fish would survive in that water. The $15 parking is clearly trying to compensate for the new entry way and playground but $5 would be more than fair for what you're getting in return. read more

I almost didn't visit because of all the negative reviews. I came because I'm a landscape photographer and wanted to take pictures of the lake. First off, parking for the day was $8 (and yes they close at 5 PM). So if you come late afternoon like myself, you end up paying $8 for a couple of hours, so use your time wisely! There were no walking trails. I parked and walked through a holey field of grass. If I didn't look down while walking I probably would have sprained my ankle. I'm not sure if the stinky poo smell is from nearby horse stables but it stinks. Literally. I noticed a couple feeding bread to all the wild birds. I can't stress this enough bread is bad for birds! It clogs up their digestive system. I just kept parking at different lots, walking down to the lake to photograph my view. It was pretty, but this park needs a lot of work. read more

Kind of ugly and run down, but cost $10 per vehicle to access the park. Most go there for fishing and camping, I think. Only good thing is the birds that you will see there. I saw white pelicans and a Muscovy duck. Don't think I will ever return. read more

So I'm not going to change my original review, I think this place deserves a 4 STAR review. The only review that effects a business rating is the original review but I really want to get everyone's attention so maybe both customers and managers at this facility will pay attention. The grass at this particular park is so bad that last weekend we had three people get hurt. I rolled my angle stepping in a gopher hole, my wife's dad fell flat on his face after stepping in a gopher hole and my buddy went over the bars on a scooter cutting 20 feet across the grass from the sidewalk to the RV. His shoulder is messed up and his arm is black and blue. The grass is so bad I've never seen anything like it. One more thing, the park is remolding some of the campsites and I'm not sure why but they are relocating the sewer and electrical hook ups on the wrong site of the campsite.it's like the people doing the job don't understand how an RV hook ups work. We had four campsites and three of them we had to park with the back side of our RV's facing the hook ups and our door opening in to the street instead of the concrete pad where the really nice new concrete pads, new fire pits and new picnic table was located. WHAT ARE THEY THINKING. So after our weekend was over we drove around and made note to what spaces were set up properly and I cannot believe it but most of the camping sites have been remodeled backwards. I've never seen anything like it in my life and I've been to a lot of different camping locations. I wish the county with lease the RV park out to a private entrepreneur who could go in and remodel it properly and set things up the right way because this is such a great place to camp especially if your local here in the Orange County area. The inland empire is cool and all but I do wish there were beaches less than 45 mins away. Prado lake was chill on a Sunday at mid day. No one was there. Parking everywhere. I got to sit, relax and watch the ducks do their duck thing. The quiet always gets 5 stars from me. I'll be back. read more

Us: yes Lady: ok you need a fishing permit which is $12 each & $4 entrance fee. Us: y'all have military discount (we're both Army retired) Lady: yes but only for San Bern county, you have to get the paperwork from the VA & I gave out my last application blah blah I need to make more copies. Us: (we looked confused, never heard of veterans/military discount only for certain county) oh we're from Long Beach I guess that sucks ‍ We paid but she was nice enough to explain to us the map & showed us which area for good fishing that's why the 2 stars We drove to area 3 which looks like the best spot but too many people there. We got to area 6 & we had to use the restroom. Freaking disgusting, the urinal doesn't flush & the sink stays on for a whole min, just wasting water. It's a small lake & over priced fee this place should be fixing their restroom. Maybe use the money to stock more fish. I asked a few people they said no luck so far but some only caught 1-2 fishes. Gophers holes everywhere, felt my feet sinking almost every step. A few ducks which was cool feeding them. But Won't be coming back read more

This review isn't about the fishing. Regarding walking and biking, there are zero cemented paths to do either. The only cemented paths connect the parking lot to a picnic table area. I wish there was a nice walking/biking path around the entire perimeter with a few other paths that connect so you have choices of which directions to do and you're not just circling the whole thing over and over. However, when you go on a very non-crowded day when there are hardly any cars, you can bike on the roads where cars drive, but you still always have to watch out for cars. It's nice when there are just a handful of people (usually fishing) and you have all the roads within the park to bike. But you still can't really go walking here unless you walk on the grass or on the car roads. It's about the same as the Glen Helen Regional Park, but this one is a little cleaner and more kept-up. Glen Helen also has a walking/biking path where cars can't go. read more

Our first official time camping here with our own trailer. Although I grew up camping here with my family, it's been roughly 10 years since I've been here to actually camp. We checked in Friday at 2pm (check in is actually at 3pm) and we waited at least 20-30 minutes in line to get through the gate with a reservation. We pulled up to our site and hooked up quickly. A few hours later, met a few camping neighbors and everyone was friendly. Campsites were fairly dead, so all was quiet for a Friday night other than a few laughs here and there from a campsite a few spaces down. Saturday, the main sections of the park filled with a car show and parties. Around 1pm there was the loudest music coming from near the lake... mariachi music. The music was so damn loud I'm pretty sure it could've been heard as far East as Temecula no doubt! Luckily the live band would play about an hour straight, then take a half hour break, then repeat the schedule for nearly 4 more hours before finally wrapping up at around 5pm. Here it is now 11:25pm on Saturday evening, and there are two sites near me on two separate sides with exceptionally loud groups, drinking, laughing, hooting & hollering like banshees. I keep seeing more & more cars showing up because they get the after hours codes to the gates, and bring all their friends in after hours to avoid the extra car fee. Fine no problem. But turn it down a bit! We like to have fun, and I won't lie, we party hard with friends also camping with us on Friday nights. But come Saturday, we are way more chill and despite it being a Friday, Saturday or any other random night we try to be respectful of our fellow camping neighbors and tone it down once quiet time goes into affect. I grew up camping. Thankfully my parents taught me proper camping "etiquette". I till this day follow those rules. I am in no way a perfect campsite person. But I do try hard to respect other campers sites and their right to rest, relaxation & peaceful times during 10pm-7am. Despite the chaos and noise tonight, we will be back. It's a beautiful location, close to home. It's not the cheapest campsite, but $40 for full hookups on non-holiday weekends vs. a hotel room is pretty damn affordable in my opinion. I wish if you the campsites day grass, they actually HAVE grass. Ours was supposed to but the actual grass was about a 2x2 patch under a tree, filled with leaves and trees debris it technically doesn't count. But so be it. Camp on my fellow campers! Peace out. I'm tired and my campfire is runienth low. read more

Sorry to report on this park negatively but the bathroom an shower facilities are more than disgusting. The areas are so filled with stickers and dead grass that children and pets can not play outside. Fishing licenses are posted as $10.00 a day but wanted to charge us $12.00. This park has such a potential to be so nice but has failed on upkeep of the property. read more

We went to this park to kayak and fish. The boat ramp was being redone and they still charged us. We had to find another place to launch and hike up and down a hill. In addition, even though you have a fishing license they charge you extra to fish. On the upside there are fish, and there wasn't any boats in the water because there was no way to get them in. read more

Pros: We camped out here (end of April) for 2 full days 1 night. Our site was #69 facing the mountain and meadows. We saw beautiful red birds, and night shooting star, and took long walk around the lake. Con: The grass was awful lots of gopher holes all over I mean everywhere and weeds and my sons feet was full of blisters after stepping on the grass for 10 mins. That's the only reason I gave a 4 star. Better lawn maintenance would be nice. Good to know: the lake was open for kayaks, pedal boats and fishing, the splash pad was on and working in one small area, but the larger part of splash pads was fenced off for construction. One area of the playground was open for the kids to play in. At night super quiet and peaceful! read more
