Upon arrival to the store, I was greeted warmly by Phillip, who was professional, knowledgeable, helpful, patient and cordially responsive to a multitude of questions! I was initially there to conduct comparison shopping at the time; however, the availability and competitive pricing of products (e.g., cabinetry, quartz countertops & sinks) prompted me to go ahead and initiate an order with Phillip for purchase and installation accordingly. I especially liked having the opportunity to raise the height of the countertop backsplash from 4" to 5" and to order custom-made cabinets for the bathrooms if I so desired! The project from start to finish took approximately one month, and Phillip was diligent about providing intermittent updates. The installers, Jesse and Juan, were timely, organized, respectful of the property and noticeably competent. I appreciated the fact that NGKB owner, Allen--who also served as the project manager--took the time to QC the installation upon completion! A special shout out goes to one of the contracted plumbers, Beto, who went above and beyond by providing a high level of service and expending the quality time to ensure that everything was functional and operational! What makes Obed different form all the other contractors? He is a perfectionist! Obed will not finish a job until is perfectly done to the highest standard. In past projects I've thought everything is finished and he will point out all the minor and tiny details that he still needs to complete to make sure the project is done right. The furniture at Big Grass is imported from Thailand and surprisingly, it's all very reasonably priced. The owners are very friendly and are always willing to answer any questions for you. In some displays you'll find photo albums of the owner's wife next to displays in furniture stores in Thailand. You'll also see what complete sets look like (one of the items they sell is carved stone but in the garden area, you only see parts of it - where in the photo album, you'll see it in its entirety). Definitely check it out - even if you're just going to browse. You might find something you like!

The owner, Daniel Hemler, had the nerve to argue with me about the job I hired him to do every time I asked why he was not doing things up to manufacture recommendations or industry standards, I am a paying customer and asked for a job to be done a certain way it should be done how I ask and I should not have to argue with the person I hired; I even pointed at my neighbors fence and told him I wanted it just like that but my fence is approximately 6 inches lower than the neighbors... He did not show up most days to start working until after 3pm and when it gets dark at 6pm that only gives about 2 hours of decent sunlight to work which is not enough time to get anything accomplished correctly. I could go on and on about the horrible job this company did but I would much rather let Karma handle people who do shady business... Trust your gut & find an actual professional!!!! Everyone I have had out to quote me a price to fix all the things this company screwded up shakes their head at the unprofessional and embarrassing work that was done on my fence.

The quality of the installation is unacceptable…read more When walking on the floor, the tiles are uneven and lack smoothness--you can clearly feel raised edges underfoot. Additionally, several tiles are already chipped, despite being newly installed. When I requested that someone come out to evaluate the work, I was told that as long as it meets basic code requirements, nothing can be done. That response is extremely disappointing. This is not just about meeting minimum code--it's about delivering quality workmanship. Anyone can take off their shoes, walk across the floor, and immediately feel that something is wrong. It feels like once payment was received, customer satisfaction was no longer a priority. Overall, this has been a very frustrating experience.
