Hired P&C to guide me to do a very small lot line revision. Aside from the $4K cost of the survey, also paid extra for them to attend county meetings, and do everything needed to change the lot line. They assured me that they would take care of everything so it was hands off for me. My neighbor was also in agreeance to do this as I would pay them for the land, so everything looked good to go. After spending around $6K, at the very end of the process, it couldn't go through because the neighbor hadn't paid their property taxes for 2 years. I feel like this should have been looked at in the very beginning of the process, before taking so much money to do work that has no actual result. Why would they wait until the end to check this easily accessible information that is an absolute show stopper? At the end, they got paid, the county got paid, and I got nothing at all to show for it. For specific tasks, they are probably great at what they do. But when asking and paying extra for turnkey guidance, I feel like I got taken for a ride so they could get paid for work that never had any affect on the goals I had, and just drained $6000 from my savings. When I pay for a professional in their field, I feel like I am justified in expecting results, not just going through an expensive process that benefits them with no real guidance. I hoped they would try and somehow make this right, but they got their check, the county got their checks, and I never heard from them again. Bruce was great to work with. We hired him to do a perc test and when he got to the lot, he said he could tell without digging the land wouldn't pass & didn't charge us. We later hired him for another perc test and he did it on time & gave us our paperwork. Paying over the phone was a little odd, but it's the Catskills! read more

Spoke to Jeff for about 15 minutes and got NO WHERE. He was fairly rude, in a mansplaining kind of way. All I wanted was to know the price of a perk test and to set a schedule for him to go out to the lot. He couldn't give me a date but demanded upfront money. I found them to be lazy, arrogant, and unresponsive, even when we paid for a survey and structural engineering consulting. They refused to provide drawings, even after paying. Did not return phone calls or emails. Six months later we received the survey. But it was incomplete and bare bones. Nope. They barely marked the property, and did so inaccurately, according the DoB.
