Also, we stopped at Tasty Treet at the beginning of the trail for ice cream and thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely recommend trying different sections of this trail or doing the entire trail! Also, many groups do "taco and margarita" rides starting in Council Bluffs, talk with your local bike shop to find out more. There is a small box at the trail asking for a $2.00 donation for adults to maintain the trail. Awesome tree coverage and nature for a fun day out in Iowa.

Restrooms are usually closed. This is my favorite spot for lunch on work days. Access is via Q St only. The park is a quiet space which includes various athletic fields (baseball, basketball, tennis) and a well-maintained fishing pond stocked with catfish, bass, bluegill, and trout in season. The park features plenty of green space, shade trees, benches and tables, and walking paths. We had a nice afternoon with the kids, catching lots of little panfish in the pond, all released. Parking is free in the large dirt lot, but more that as best we could figure, the only bathroom facility is a portapotty near the baseball diamond. Hidden gem.
