The doctor must not have been in a not so good mood and yelled at my daughter and called me into her private office, and continue to scold me... Not only that after I left, she called my dentist office and continued and then called me while I was driving home to continue on the phone to continue to yell at me... Long story short it was quite an intense experience. I left there with my daughter (quite traumatized) not finishing treatment. I found Prairieview orthodontics, and wow! Its night and day difference in service! Not only does Dr. John and his team welcome questions they take the time no matter how long, even if it set them behind with other appointments, to answer any questions and concerns, and they really went above and beyond finishing off my daughters treatment, leaving her with an absolutely stunning smile. I have to say she was quite scared and timid, going to any doctor after our past experience. But Dr. John is just so good with kids gets on their level super friendly, very reassuring, answered any of her questions even during adjustments was very kind and gentle to her. Unlike the other orthodontist, who burned her nose, chipped her tooth, scratched her and yelled at her for breaking brackets, etc. Dr. John and his team are so friendly and definitely go the extra mile. We love the experience so much here at Prairie view. They have many locations in the area with super flexible scheduling, other orthodontist offices, actually charge more if you need an after school appointment versus during the day... Prairie view does not do that to schedule appointments around your schedule for no added cost!the team is so friendly and customer oriented- its really been a night and day experience! Varghesse put my brackets on in a way that they were continually breaking off. He told me that I clench to much, and he would not really be able to help me. He said I would probably need surgery which would cost 10's of thousands of dollars. I went to Kay for a second opinion. He said he could fix it. he took off all the brackets, and placed them in a way my teeth were not hitting - I never broke a bracket again. I finished my treatment early with Dr. Kay, and never had to have surgery; success! Oh, Dr. Kay charges like half of what Varghese was charging. I felt ripped off by Dr. Varghese. My feeling is that he is charging a lot of money for a fancy office, but is in the business of fixing "easy" cases at volume. If you think your case is a little more difficult, or if you want to save some money... or if you just want a really honest and competent guy - go with Dr. Kay.

Soon, we will have our other daughter start her treatment here. The point is, only a genuinely caring practise would get such loyal patients. We had a great experience all the way until our dog ate our daughter's retainer. We fully understood that we would have to pay something. I called over to set an appt up and she asked me if we had the molds. I was completely confused. I send my daughter in on her own (did this with my other two girls) so she can be forced to talk to adults and she also sets her own appointments based on her schedule. Gives them a little bit of adulting in a control environment. My daughter was 12 when she first started coming here. She is now 14. After the conversation with the secretary at the front I realized they gave the mold to my daughter. At least that's what they told me. I would never know cause I wasn't there or informed. I assumed if there was important information to be discussed, they would reach out via text or phone. Or better yet, they would ask my daughter to have a parent come in knowing she can't drive. So they must be in the parking lot. That way an adult can hear this important information. They only shared this with my daughter. We have no clue what happened to it. I can only guess she threw the bag away with the molds in it. Again she's 14. She probably retained 1/2 of the information they told her. The secretary explained to me if we had the molds we would have received a discount. Every little bit helps after you just paid a shit ton of money for braces. She explained to me without the molds it's full price. So I asked point blank how this is my fault. NOTHING was discussed with an adult. I didn't sign off on anything. She kept making excuses for their miscommunication. She was attempting to try and turn this conversation on me. I told her the problem I'm having is you keep trying to blame me, but as the parent who paid for this and was never once called or communicated with about the mold. Not emailed, not messaged....nothing. Is still having to pay for the lack of communication by the company. Bottom line beware of this company. Unfortunately they made the mistake and she admitted in the end. I told her moving forward she needs to communicate with her team that they need a parent at the closing when they receive the retainer. So this issue doesn't happen again. Her response was, I totally agree. I said funny you agree. Because you're admitting your office has communication problems, but yet earlier in our conversation you kept putting the blame on me. So damn frustrating!! So disappointed I am having to pay for incompetence of this staff.

They were able to get an exam, cleaning, fluoride, and xrays done without me even being in the room. They are the first practice that has been able to do this amount of work in one visit. Had to come back to evaluate them. He made me come after hours so as not to disrupt the money flow of the scheduled patients. His words. His comment was that "he doesn't repair teeth". His ego was laughable. You could tell he wasn't skilled enough to back up his work. The extraction was difficult for him. Took him several tries and ended up just cracking the tooth in pieces to remove it. Fat fingers. A large pushy woman came in first to interview me about my complaint. Bully. After McKnight realized he had done damage he immediately accused me of being abusive to his staff, doing the damage myself. Hadn't even interacted with any staff. Left me in considerable pain because of the bruised area. Plus the loose teeth. Gave me a number to text him for follow up then yelled at me for using it. His staff was rude, undertrained in customer service and complained about their benefits. Bad experience all around. My primary dentist told me they no longer refer McKnight because of customer feedback complaints. 1 star is too many.
