I was charged $800 for sealing my house and all he did was screw some loose soffits and partially seal some gaps in them, seal some (one was left unfixed for a poorly explained reason that sounds like you have to pay separately for a different kind of pest) torn crawlspace vents, and monitor for signs of pest re-entry. The cost was most definitely excessive when you look at the work that was done and the time it took to do it and the fact that he never faced the pest. I had previously hired Terminix and I have learned that these wildlife businesses are like any other salesman - they tell you what it takes to get you to buy. They don't honestly intend to provide excellent service. What I got does not match what I was sold. And the tech had the nerve to ask to keep an animal trap that I purchased from Terminix. He deducted $100 for the poor communication I had to deal with during this experience, but he still got more than he deserved for this job; certainly enough to buy his own animal trap. While you do get offered a year warranty with this cost, I'm not sure you will be able to get a tech to return to do anything. I think it will be like with a car warranty when a dishonest mechanic tells you the problem is a new problem.
