Hannah sets the tone for the office to be a joyful place for people to get better. And I cannot say enough great things about Hunter, who was my PT. I have 2 herniated discs in my neck, and Hunter did an incredible job getting to know me, challenging me, and helping me progress until I "graduated" with plenty of knowledge and a lot less pain. It has been extremely frustrating for my kids to build rapport and relationships with their providers and then they turn around and leave in anywhere from a couple days to a few months. We have been at Fyzical for three years now and nothing has changed. It makes me wonder if this is a toxic work environment or they aren't getting paid enough compared to other practices. Both raise eyebrows for me. Fyzical just called me this morning to tell me the providers I had schedule my kids with back in end of February are "no longer available" to work with my kids. If you get in with a good provider, don't leave, but know that the provider may leave.

They really were bothered that I was even there. It was further complicated by the fact that my trainer called in sick and they didn't let me know until I was on my way. I'm about a 45 min drive away so this was definitely a bit of an inconvenience. They were able to get me in to see another trainer 45 mins later so I just waited in the lobby until my substitute trainer was available. She was good, but I felt like she was a bit new because she kept looking up the exercises we should be doing vs being more familiar with them off the top of her head. The facility is fine but a bit sparse. It seems like a family owned business so I don't want to rip it down too much. Perhaps it was just an off day. Plus the bill came to $85 (out of pocket) for a 45 min session which also didn't sit right with me. Unfortunately for them I changed to another PT therapist at another place and it's been going great.

Office experience is where it has failed completely. I've had my insurance since 1998. In 2000, EFH stopped taking my insurance, but as a patient since 2013, I was grandfathered in. Diagnosed with type-2 diabetes around 2015, and at the Dr's suggestion, I went to an endocrinologist who suggested Ozempic. Discussed with the Dr. at EFH and due to the cost, I would have to modify my plan at year end 2025. Same insurance carrier, different plan. Now I've been informed that my insurance is no longer accepted. At no time during this process was I informed that modifying my plan with the same insurance carrier would lead to having to change doctors. My feeling is that the practice is declining and anyone looking far a Dr in Elizabeth should go somewhere else.
