There's even a fabric stash, rolls end up in bright bins, and a cute pastel ladder that I feel that I must have in my life. Perhaps this explains why Strickland and Holt has had to reduce its size. Shame Stockton couldn't head in that direction too. Or is it possible to fit in another pound shop?

I've added Venus Trading to my 'goth shops' list as they do sell some goth-style clothing at the back of the shop. They tend to increase the stock of goth clothes during the Whitby Gothic Weekend (and it seems they also increase their prices too!). If you're looking for a gift that's a bit different for someone then this is the place to go. They also have some amusing greetings cards which I always check out when I visit. The clothing they sell varies from 'hippy' to 'goth' so you can definitely buy something that will make you stand out from the crowd here! I tend regularly visit to buy incense, make up and jewellery from Venus Trading but not clothing. They have some great clothes but they're all a bit out of my price range and, as it's not a big shop, they don't have a good range of sizes.
