I called several places and Precious Paws came out on top. They were convenient and their price was reasonable. They gave an accurate quote, provided many details and specified what would be additional charges. It was helpful to know ahead of time what to expect. The appointment- making process was easy and they had an opening right when I wanted. And .... a big incentive for me was the Saturday hours. I didn't realize many other places do not offer haircuts for our fur babies on the weekend when it's most convenient for the working mom. This was a big plus! My bischon can be a handful so I was pleased to see her happy and carefree when I picked her up. There's a lot of ways to mess up a bischon frise "puppy-cut" but they did a pretty good job. Her face and ears and tail all look good. Her legs are not quite what I hoped. I will probably bring her back again when she needs to get swimsuit ready for the summer. read more

They have big egos and don't like to be held accountable they rush the grooms and aren't careful and overcharge. Cut my dog and gave him an infection at first they offered relief and they made me bring him back for no reason bc they ended shoving me out the salon and no resolution. I will NOT ever go back! I am sad to post this but I feel it is necessary. I started taking my older dog here right after they first opened. My first couple experiences were great. Then the poop hit the fan. They hired new groomers who did NOT know what they were doing and were not anything in comparison to the owners. I told them as much as well as we would NOT be back. We then came to an agreement that only the owners husband could trim my dog. Even after a bad experience, I continued to give praise and recommendations for Precious Paws but I can NO longer do that. We used to be able to make apts for a day or 2 out...or even a week out. Now it is 5 weeks or more. We called when our dog was ready to be trimmed....as normal....and they told us they could not do it for over 3.5 weeks. We were disappointed but made an apt knowing the crazy times we are in as well as their restrainments they had. Knowing it was a longer wait than we expected, we brushed our dog frequently. When we dropped her off, we knew she had a few spots that would need to be brushed out or shaved...but...NOT her entire body!!!!!! Well....when we picked her up...she was COMPLETELY SHAVED!!! We did not approve of this ahead of time!!!! Who shaves a persons dog without permission??? They claim they left a message but we do NOT have one. Even if we did....they should NEVER have shaved a dog without verbal permission from the owner. Tip.....Do NOT proceed until you have permission from a pet owner!!! I am so disappointed with Precious Paws!! I love supporting local.... and even better..... close to home!! Precious Paws will NEVER get my support, recommendations or business again. Oh by the way...we have 2 dogs we TOOK there.....neither will ve going back. We immediately canceled the 2nd dogs apt for tomorrow. read more

They lie. I had to cancel my appointment a day before and rescheduled and was told I would be $25 for cancellation. Which was today November 4 just got home from. mayo Clinic last night, have problems getting lost. I got to my appointment 35 minutes late they took me even though I was late. Husband picked my dogs she char me an extra $90 for no show or calling to cancel last week. Ahhhhh if I didn't cancel how did I get the appointment today? Liars and thieves . I have two Shih Tzu's (Eton and Tudor) and was quite surprised by such an excellent establishment! Caring, clean,considerant, and really interested into my pups past experiences. I highly recommend this groomer. They did a fantastic job on both my dogs and were able to accommodate squeezing them both in within the week. I needed my smaller dog shaved down and they did a great job. Left the perfect amount of hair around her face. My older dog just had a bath and deshedding groom. His coat never looked better. We were able to get an appointment quickly, they took amazing care of our girls, they looked amazing after the appointment, and our sweeties were actually super comfortable and didn't seem to want to leave. I just took my five- year old MinPin Doxie there for a walk- in nail trim. My boy does NOT like getting his nails trimmed at all (imagine a little kid and shots, it's the same dilemma!) and I was hopeful seeing the reviews and that they took walk-ins. I tried taking my dog to this place twice. The first time I was told to have my vaccine records for rabies. When I came, they added additional vaccines (bordatella). I had the additional vaccine and came back a week later. Now they wanted distemper. I just wished this was made clear up front instead of wasting my time two weeks in a row. They listen to what you want and your dog always comes back looking fabulous and happy. Precious Paws does a great job grooming, "HOWEVER", they are very pricey. I was just charged $ 75.00 to have my Shitzhu groomed. I was told he had some matting in his feet, but I was charged $ 55.00 less than 8 weeks ago and given the same reason. No explanation given. Will be going back to our previous groomer who is not as convenient if they do not make this right. read more

We had our Cavalier groomed at Precious Paws last week, and it's the worst she's ever looked. During drop off they asked if we wanted her shaved, and we said no, no shave. They ended up shaving her back, legs, and feet. There's even a chunk of hair missing on top of her forehead as if they accidentally let the trimmers land in that spot. I would give zero stars if I could. Unless you want your pet shaved, please pick another groomer. We will not return. read more

I was looking for a new groomer after some disappointment with the place we had been going. Came across this place and was able to make an appointment for both of my mini Goldendoodles. Isabelle was very friendly and accommodating. Our younger puppy had trouble at our last place because she was afraid of the clippers and we were charged full price for half the job. I rarely leave reviews, but the owner, Isabelle, was incredibly rude and offensive towards me today. I have been bringing my Havapoo there for over a year, and I leave a 20% tip each time. She informed me that he would need to come monthly because he gets a lot of matts. Therefore, we bring him every 4 weeks, and recently each time we have visited, she has started to increasingly scold me about how matted he is. We bought the same expensive dog brush that they use and have tried our best to brush him at home. We are also first time dog owners and are learning as we go. Today when I picked up, she told me that she would not groom him again if he was this matted. She then told me that it took her an hour with him on the table, and that this was inhumane treatment. She said to me in a condescending tone "you are basically giving me permission to torture your dog." Um, excuse me? I love my dog and would never give you permission to torture him. How dare she talk to me that way. How about trying to politely troubleshoot the issue with me and get to the root cause of the mats and try your best as a professional to educate me, rather than put me down and accuse me of abusing my dog. Never once has she told me that these appointments cause distress for my dog, only that she would charge me $1 per minute for every extra minute she has to brush him. Maybe I should report her since she admits to torturing my dog. She has a lot to learn about customer service. Would not recommend Precious Paws to anyone for this reason. read more

I'm very pleased with my dog's haircut. Her hair looks beautiful, and her coat is evenly trimmed and soft. Her paws and nails look great. The staff is wonderful, and the place is very convenient to get to, and the strip mall has ample parking. I enter through a back road after turning onto Easy St. The workers explain all the costs to you, and they provide you with coupons for savings on your next visit. Finding a new groomer is always dicey. The location of Precious Paws on Allisonville Road near home was a big attraction, so I stopped in one day to check it out. It's a nice, clean, neat facility. Isabelle, the owner, is very nice and tries to accommodate your needs without compromising quality. Our dog, a Cavachon, has been nicely groomed to our specifications four times so far. It's a little more expensive than the place I've gone to in the past, but between the location's convenience and the good results, it's been worth it. (They do let you bring your own shampoo if you like, which I suggest if you're using an skin allergy shampoo-they charge an extra $8 if you want them to use their own allergy shampoo.) read more

I am from California and have took my two babies(maltese) to several other grooming shop hoping to find the nice, caring groomer. Unfortunately, it was not easy to find one(some did not clean their ears properly and were infected so had to take my babies to the Vet few times and some cut their hair unevenly, etc). Finally found one! They seem like they really like dogs and care for them not just doing it to earn money. Asks lots of questions about how you want it in detail. and the shop is super clean! Today was our first visit to Precious Paws. I have two Bichons. We have visited several groomers around the Fishers and Carmel area and were never really impressed enough to return. Arriving, I was greeted by very friendly staff and met with both groomers who discussed with me what exactly I wanted. I don't like the traditional Bichon helmet haircut and I like their ears short to look like puppies. They did exactly what I asked and my dogs looked and smelled wonderful. I have two Shih Tzu Maltese mix dogs and I take both of them to Precious Paws to be groomed. My oldest dog Bailey would always shake and cry when I dropped her off at the other two places I used to get her groomed at, but she loves to go to Precious Paws. They do a great job of grooming them and they pay special attention to pluck and clean their ears which helps cut down greatly on vet visits. When I am in need of daycare, they provide that also.
