Came here for a full head of highlights and a trim with Lilly! It turned out amazing! All of the stylists seem very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. Thoroughly trained, great conversationalists, care about what you want with your head, all of the good things. I'd recommend Lilly to anybody! She does a fabulous haircut, is a great shampooer, gentle, and precise. If you need color services, especially blonding, I believe that's her specialty! This is definitely the place to come in Birmingham if you're wanting to do something a little bit out of the ordinary. Lots of the stylists are versed in bright colors and edgier cuts. Parking seems like it would be hard, but I've always been able to pull into a little spot on the side. This is a great, convenient location! Next time I have a special event in town I'll definitely book a styling appointment, too!

I visited your salon on September 12th for a blowout, makeup, and lash service and was deeply…read moredisappointed with the quality of the service I received. While the blowout was satisfactory, the makeup application was subpar. The stylist applied clips to my hair that ruined the blowout then placed her hands on top of my head several times and applied makeup to the sides of my hair. Additionally, an individual who appeared to be the owner assisted the stylist in applying texture spray without consulting me, despite my request to decline. This attempt to rectify the blowout's flatness only exacerbated the issue. The makeup was excessively light, appearing to be lighter than my skin tone, and was not suitable for mature skin. The powder was also excessive for mature skin. The lashes came off prematurely, and the glue appeared old. The lip stain bled into my upper lip. The stylist's hygiene was unprofessional, emitting an unpleasant odor. During my appointment, the stylist was unable to locate several items and lacked the necessary preparation. After an extended period of waiting, the stylist was unable to resolve the issues. I subsequently rescheduled my appointment for the following day, the 13th, due to the lengthy wait time and my attendance at a family wedding in Homewood. Upon returning to Blo on the 12th around 3:30 I discovered that the salon was empty, with no staff at the ground desk or within the salon. I contacted the salon and attempted to cancel my appointment via phone, text, and app. However, the app indicated that I did not have an appointment. I called on the 13th at 11:00 AM to confirm, as I am aware of Blo's cancellation policy. Despite my attempts to contact the salon, including returning to the salon the day before, the store owner/manager disregarded my dissatisfaction with the service provided on the previous day. Under my appointment in the app, it showed cancellation on the 12th and the morning of the 13th. After calling on the morning of the 13th, the manager informed me that It was not cancel  and would be charged the full amount.  The quality of the service I received did not meet the expectations at all. I reach out to the franchise main email twice they got back with a response that the Homewood Blo would reach out to me but that never happened.

She has a website where you can book appointments. The booking process is easy and the description of her services helps you really figure out exactly what you want. She does everything from a minimum "no makeup" look to straight out glam. As she did my makeup, we had a nice conversation. She was pleasant and professional. When she was done, I liked how my makeup looked great, but it didn't look or feel caked on. I'd definitely recommend her and I'd definitely use her again for makeup services in the future!

The address listed on Yelp was correct, the shop is located next to a pet store. There is a small sign that says Coco Moore Makeup in the window of the shop. I was able to schedule an appointment online on the owners website. Her website was very helpful in deciding which look you wanted to go for.She also does weddings, and makeup training tutorial classes. There is a $5 discount for your birthday and she gives you the option to pay before or after the appointment. During my appointment there was no one else waiting so I was the only person there. Also, she cleaned all of her makeup equipment in front of me before use. Coco was very friendly and professional. She was also very patient and even asked what I liked and didn't like. I went for the Soft and Sweet Mini Enhancement. I loved her work!! I definitely will come back!

And let me just say she did not disappoint. She was thorough, talked me through her process, and even provided extraction care. Following the wax she uses a soothing part wax tea tree oil that was heavenly. I've used the same wax salon for the last 2.5 years, but she is definitely my new go to person. They are more sparse than most and I prefer them to be tweezed versus waxed or threaded. I know it can take a little longer, but April was more than happy to oblige and I was elated with the results. She finished them off with also a light make-up application; just the way I like them, with a soft powder make-up application. I really appreciated her asking me what I preferred rather than just apply a heavy style of make-up. She's lovely! I highly recommend her and look forward to seeing her again when I need my next eyebrow shaping.
