When she said her head was itchy I checked her head and found the dreaded lice!! I panicked. I found the Lice Clinics on Yelp and gave them a call. I was able to get booked the next day. To say the least this was an eye opening learning experience for us both. I had always thought lice was a "dirty kid" thing and never thought it would happen in my own house. To find out the little creatures LOVE clean hair and heads. We learned a lot and the lice and eggs were gone in under an hour. AMAZING!! Now, it was pricey but honestly take my money! You gave us peace of mind and we left critter free! We even left with oil, spray to prevent future problems and learned so much. If you are looking for a place to take care of a lice problem on your kids head or maybe even yours, THIS IS THE SPOT!! I was able to get a same day appointment, for a reasonable fee, and hightailed myself down there. So glad I did because Char, the very knowledgeable, reassuring and efficient who performed my check, did find nits to my horror - but she was so relaxed and informative about it that I truly did not panic while she carried out the cleansing process. While she did say it was not vital to launder everything, I did follow steps to heat linens in the drying for on high setting for 20 minutes+ upon returning home and know I can return within the next month for a re-check for peace of mind. I also purchased a can of the mint spray so next time I visit with my grandkids I can be armed with a measure of protection! Bottom line: Don't hesitate to make an appointment.

Calls to the school nurse, neighborhood friends and some online research gives us some ideas of how to manage this, but there is still some misunderstanding of what and how to clean our home, mattresses, furniture etc. Hours spent brushing through hair, treating with RID, sleeping in Cetaphil, washing sheets, etc. etc. Then there is the frustration of thinking this will have to go on for a couple weeks. An online search finds Lice Clinics of America and there single step treatment. Even better than that was the team, who had answers to all the questions we had. They explained the life cycle of the lice and how to eliminate them by dehydration, how to clean the house, allayed all our concerns about cross contamination etc. etc. I will NEVER again try to treat lice at home. Now we can just come home clean up the house, bedding etc. with confidence we have resolved the issue. We met the owner Martell, a working Mom, who told us her story of lice and her kids. I thought she would go through every inch of my daughter's head to make sure all lice and nuts were gone. She used a specialized foam and comb to comb (of which I had to buy and totally over priced) through my daughter's hair but that was it. She claimed my daughter's head was clean. She showed me what she was getting on a paper towel, so I believed her. After she left we truly inspected every little section of my daughter's head and still found at least 10 nits. So clearly after all that money ($240) my daughter was still with nits which could hatch and grow laying more nits! Now granted maybe she wouldn't get them all but to find 10 was a lot! I sent her a picture of what we found and she never bothered to text me back or offer any further guidance. So save your money or go with someone else!

I swear this woman doesn't know a thing about the root of acne and how to go about treating it. First red flag was that she didn't ask a thing about diet, gut issues, or other health conditions. Second red flag was she said an oral antibiotic was the only thing to surely get rid of my acne when I explained her I have chronic gut issues so that would make the problem worse. Third red flag was she prescribed about 5 medications and no other form of treatment other than topicals and oral meds. If she truly "specialized in acne" she would know it starts in the gut, internally, not externally...
