I have used Precision AB for at least 10 years and have always been very satisfied with their quality work. Recently I needed their services again with a little more damage than a small fender bender. This repair was fairly extensive requiring many new parts along with body work and the painting of the entire front end and the entire drivers side front to back. The inspection process was very thorough and all parts were ordered quickly and accurately, parts were delivered within 2 weeks and all repairs were completed within 9 days. My experience with Precision after this accident was outstanding . After an accident you're normally a little nervous about the repair process however after meeting with CeeJay all my concerns were alleviated. CeeJay is professional, knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable that the process was going to be successful. One of the MOST important things for me is communication and this is where CeeJay exceeded my expectations, he communicated with me frequently during the process, informing me each step of the way ie. Parts ordered, insurance company updates, parts delivered. Even after dropping off my car he communicated updates during the repair process. While the quality of the repairs and painting is very important, I feel that the quality of their employees is equally as important. The ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE i've had in a VERY long time. Would rate 0 stars if I could. I have had previous issues with this "company" which I was kind enough not to review during that time. SEE BOTTOM FOR MAIN ISSUE - That previous issue being...made an appointment a month in advance as that was the soonest they allowed at the time, proceeded to show up for my scheduled appointment and then magically they had no record of me ever calling or ever making an appointment. THE MAIN ISSUE: Happened just a few minutes ago. Again, scheduled an appointment 2 weeks in advance. Explained CLEARLY that it would NOT be through insurance and the owner of the vehicle is paying in full personally. We show up today for our appointment and YAY we have one, then comes the problem. Now we can't pay personally for the quote or the work, NEVER was mentioned on the phone. Why confirm my appointment and my situation if the situation is NOT allowed at the company. read more

tldr: If you have a Tesla, find another shop. Dan conducts shady business. First off, Dan will say anything to make that he's nor the company is in the wrong. I feel bad for the owner Ryan as you can tell he's trying his best to give a great service. I brought my Tesla Model 3 in after some bumper damage. If you have a Tesla, find another shop as Precision does not know what they're doing when it comes to a Tesla. I needed a new valance and bumper. Easy enough right? Dan quoted me for needing to paint the bumper, that it's a tri-coat red, yada yada, and I said sure. If you look on Tesla, they sell pre-painted bumpers. Why wouldn't they? Anyways I agree and we move on. Fast forward and they order the wrong part 3 times, and once they install, I noticed that they still ordered the wrong part and did the install anyways. They cut away at the bumper and retrofitted it to my car. They didn't clean the cutting up either, so it had rigged edges and paint chipping at the cut. The best part of this is they ordered a pre-painted bumper and still charged me for painting and labor AND my valence was never replaced. Dan is the worst. read more

I was involved in a head-on collision with a drunk driver that caused $13,000 dollars worth of damages, including a brand new suspension, as well some body work, and a few other things. Precision was one of five places associated with my insurance company, but they were my third choice of the five. (The first two were so behind schedule they wouldn't take the claim.) I did have to wait a week for them to even accept the tow-in due to a high volume of claims, which was understandable. However on the day of, 30 mins before the scheduled drop off time, they called and changed the time. This wouldn't have been a huge problem, except for the fact that the tow truck was already on their way and had to wait for them at the shop for over an hour before they could drop the car. My estimator/point of contact was Dan and he had an estimate for me within a couple hours of tow-in. Through the whole process, he was very communicative and honest with me. The timeline for completion was 6-9 weeks due to a whole suspension which had to be shipped from the mainland. Dan gave me some great advice and tips on where to get cheap a rental car and how to extend my insurance benefits for rentals. The work was completely in as timely of a fashion as possible and actually ahead of schedule which was highly appreciated. The only issue I had with them was after the actual repair. When I picked up my car, Dan was not there and I was closed out by another gentleman (he didn't give me his name). I was told that if I have any issues to let them know as all of the work is guaranteed for the life of the car. As soon as I pulled out the parking lot, it was apparent there was an issue. I called the office from the street and I was told to drive it home and see if it went away over the next few days, which it didn't so I called to scheduled an appointment for a week later (first available). When I arrived, the customer service was notably different from my first interaction with them and I felt like I was a nuisance. They took a glance at the vehicle, stated what the issue "probably was" and then said they couldn't do anything about it because the claim was closed and wasn't related to the accident. However, the issue they stated was suspension related, which they just completely replaced. I was advised to take it to a mechanic and if they could diagnose that it was caused by the accident, then Precision would reopen my claim and fix it. It turned out that they didn't properly lubricate parts when installing them, which the 3rd party mechanic graciously did free of charge. I understand that insurance fraud is a real thing and businesses have to protect themselves and their name. However, the way they handled the situation felt unprofessional to me. On top of all of that, they claim to wash and detail your vehicle before returning it to you, but I found grease on the radio buttons, mud in the floorboards, and the dash was covered in dust. I also had to be jumped off because they let the battery drain so much that it wasn't rechargeable and had to be replaced. If I had to choose again, I would choose a different shop. read more

I brought my new Dodge Ram 2500 with a pretty bad dent in the side of the bed. My insurance company said it was their preferred repair shop. The precision auto body estimator told me that the dent was pretty bad and he didn't want to repair the dent and would put a whole new side on. I got the truck back and to me it looked decent (I don't have a eye for body work) my friend seen it and told me right away there was body work done. So I looked at the rivets and inside underneath of the bed and sure enough it was not replaced. I don't know how long it will last being that the dent probably needed to be filled with lots of bondo. I'm in the process of contacting my insurance company to see if they were told and charged for the replacement or repair. Long story short, brand new truck, bondo and they bullshitted me. While I would never take my personal vehicle here, I had the lovely task of dropping off and picking up my spouse's friend's vehicle to help them out. Said friend lives on the mainland but the vehicle that needed repair is here on Maui. While the repairs looked good, it's their service that I have an issue with. DROP OFF: Apparently they're difficult to get a hold of, according to my spouse. Because Precision accepts vehicles only on Monday's, we had to make arrangements to drop off on Friday because we were not available for a Monday drop off. Spouse phones in, gets an okay, so I go in. I'm greeted by a non-smiling, non-welcoming, grumpy, sassy man. I say I'm here to drop off a vehicle for repair. "Really", he replies. "We don't accept insurance claim drop offs on Fridays", he says without any explanation why. Lovely, I just LOVE being put in the middle of things. I try to call my spouse who doesn't answer. I then state "Arrangements were made for drop off today (Friday) because we're going out of town and won't be available Monday". He then asks for the party's name, finds the paperwork and possibly a note attached or had a light bulb-moment then, voila. In a tone of disgust he says "Nothing will be done to the vehicle until Monday". I'm thinking, like I care!? I cordially say "that's fine". Takes the key, doesn't say another word. PICK UP: With my defenses up, I headed in. Grouchy man is sitting there but another man assisted me. He was more welcoming than Oscar (the grouch), found the paperwork, confirmed that payment was sent in and went over care instructions. The only thing missing? Two simple words that are an arduous task at this place. What is so onerous about saying it especially after someone spends $2K+ in your business? Well, I can, so THANK YOU, Precision Auto Body, for allowing me this opportunity to let others know how your treat customers. One star for the body work, another because I'm a nice guy. read more

Took my husband's car in for body work (minor car accident that . Repair looks great. It took about 10 days. Precision will wash and detail your vehicle before you pick it up. This where the problem occurred. While the front seats look good, we found metal shavings, dust/dirt, sand paper, and a dirty towel in the backseat! ** Note: review is for customer service ONLY - I did not have any work done on my car (see below) ** Had an accident on Oahu & had Geico estimate done there. Never had a chance to get my car fixed there, so brought my car and estimate to Precision on Maui to see what they could do. (I should note that I'm shipping my car to mainland soon & needed at least a quick fix done before I go, and was honestly willing to cash in my entire insurance claim to get just that part done before I go) Brandon (the Geico claims specialist) was able to help me within 3 minutes, even though I didn't have an appt!! I had no idea how busy Precision would be, so I went there on a whim... FYI they seemed super busy, so I recommend making an appointment - I honestly think I got lucky!! Brandon looked at my car, actually LISTENED to my immediate needs (amazing customer service!), and advised that I check with the Hyundai dealership for the quick fix and then cash in the insurance claim when I have more time to have a body shop do a full work-up. I was blown away by his honesty and expertise. I am seriously stupid about cars and could have EASILY been taken for a sucker, but that is not how these guys operate. Professional, honest and awesome! If my accident damage still needs to get fixed when I'm back on Maui, I will definitely schedule body work with Precision... but just keep in mind their next soonest intake was over a month away, so plan for that when scheduling your body work!! read more

Had an excellent experience with Precision Auto Body. I was referred to them by First Insurance after my car was hit, and they did a stellar job. I did have to make a reservation weeks ahead of time to bring my car in, but it was worth the wait. Dan handled my claim, and he, along with everyone else there, were very courteous and friendly in person and over the phone. The repairs were finished ahead of time and my car was returned to me looking good as new, and even cleaner than when I had dropped it off! Poor workmanship and customer service, I do not recommend this shop nor would I ever use them again. I had two vehicles repaired at Precision in the last several months, on the first one they tried super glueing a part on after we noticed it wasn't sitting right, when that didn't work they wanted to Velcro it on before they were forced to order and replace the part. The workman ship on the second car was mediocre at best. Parts and seems worst lined up, painted over chips etc.., when asked about it, a lame excuse was given. A part that should have been replaced was not after being paid for it, because according to them they couldn't get it and I was told it wasn't cracked anyway it was just scratched .They are not friendly nor welcoming and made me feel as I was doing them a favor by giving them my money and this as they criticized a customer that they had just gotten of the phone with. My recommendation is to use another company who will work and earn your business and take pride in their workmanship. read more
