Mike Piazza Honda - This is my dashboard after I visited another Honda location

    Mike Piazza Honda

I'm always astounded at dealerships that get 5 star ratings because it really means either you got…read morean amazing deal or you work there...just kidding. We came to Mike Piazza Honda to get a car for hubby after his was totalled and I was 8 months pregnant (seriously stressed). I appreciated that this dealership had updates on their promotions and cars available in our price range on their website (just make sure to double check which location apparently there are many Mike Piazza Hondas). Putting aside the fact that buying a car anywhere takes a million hours, I did appreciate that viewing, test driving and car faxes were fast. As for the downside, like many other dealers, they tried to get over on us with the price of a car. Hubby and I had seen it online and thought it was at this lot, turns out it was in a Chester County Honda dealership....yet they had nearly the same identical car (mileage, year, make & model) on their lot for $2k more! I asked if they would price match...nope. We had to threaten to leave and let them run hubby's perfect credit score in order to bring the price down. By this point it was 9 pm and they were closing, we were upset the process wasn't wrapped up....BUT here's the shocker...they let us take the car home without signing anything! Obviously we had to come back to do the paperwork the next day, but I was shocked at the fact that we were able to leave with the car with a mere copy of hubby's license....then again I'm from Jersey and car theft is rampant by us. The next day we came back for the loan portion, by this point I was able to do some research and see that we were eligible for 3% APR through our bank....the dealership was offering a ridiculous 12.5% (you know, because of our great credit score, ha!). Hubby had to hardcore negotiate that down, as I growled over the phone at the dealer for trying to take advantage of us. Needless to say we wore them down and now have a nice car for the baby. I don't think this is an abnormally bad experience for car shopping, having done this twice before, and it ALWAYS being a hassle. So this is a fair warning to brace yourself AND do research about car loans BEFORE walking into a dealership lot.

This place is a fricking joke! I called and made a service appointment for my neice who was…read morevisiting from out of state. She had driven over 12 hours and needed her air conditioning fixed. I was told it could be seen the next day and to drop it off. At the appointed time, it was dropped off only for the service lady (huge stretch of the word might I say) whom decided they may or may not get to it and may fall into the following weeks work. Ummm.... It was specifically mentioned that my neice did not live here and was visiting and would be leaving following the weekend thus the need to be done that day as per the appointment scheduled. My neice was terrified to go back into discuss anything with the rude person. So I asked immediately to speak to the Service Department MANAGER. Upon doing so was assured the vehicle was definitely going to be worked on, diagnosed and a call would be given to me no later than 3pm. By 3:30pm there was no call, in fact when I called to speak to said Manager, he was in ' a meeting' and unable to assist me. Further more the vehicle was not looked at and would not be until the mid week. At this point I wasn't accepting this as acceptable. I informed the woman that this went against everything I'd been promised earlier in the day, and I was repeatedly interrupted while doing so. I asked the woman why she was being so rude and why the lack of customer service? To which she hung up on me. At that point, we immediately retrieved the vehicle and took it directly across the street to a small auto shop where in fact they diagnosed the problem and had solved the issue within 12 hours on a Saturday! I highly suggest that you take the time to research your surrounding service departments before EVER BRINGING ANY VEHICLE TO THIS JOKE OF A DEALERSHIP!!! @HondaUSA @BBB PS If this could be a - * rating that's what I'd have given.

They rescheduled his inspection when…read moremy emissions would have been exempt, and the new date put me over the 5000 miles to exempt it. When I went back they failed it because the check engine light was on and told me we should just look for a new truck because this one was too old (2006) and they didn't have time to chase down that problem. I took it home and corrected those issues in less than an hour and took it back in. Now they failed it again (after the emissions passed) and charged me $1800 for front pads, front rotors, and 1 front hub bearing. They claim the hub bearing was $800+. When I offered to bring my own bearing in they threatened to increase my labor cost because he supposably was giving me a discount. Keep in mind there is ZERO labor in replacing the hub bearing since you need to remove it to replace the rotor, which they were doing. After I got it home, I changed the oil to find they never attached the ABS wires on the new hub or on the existing hub. In fact they broke the screw off and just left the bracket hanging. These guys knew my son needed the car and 100% F*&%KED me over. I will never go back there and will be sending this same review to their corporate offices. See attached picture and video of how they left it.

When we picked the truck up, it was immediately obvious the steering problem had not been fixed. Anyone who test drove the truck should have noticed the issue was still there. We took the truck back and were given a second diagnosis, but by that point we had lost confidence in their ability to properly identify the problem. We then took the truck to Scrappy's for a second opinion. After a thorough inspection, they determined the actual cause was a defective steering box. Once the steering box was replaced, the steering issue was completely resolved. We were also told that none of the repairs Fred Beans Ford had previously recommended or performed were necessary to fix the problem. When we contacted Fred Beans Ford to discuss the unnecessary repairs, their response was that the truck has over 200,000 miles (it's a diesel, so that mileage alone doesn't justify replacing parts without an accurate diagnosis) and that the repairs were therefore warranted. They even offered us a discount on the additional repairs they wanted to perform based on their second incorrect diagnosis. We also attempted to discuss the excessive time our truck spent in their shop, the cost of unnecessary repairs, the repeated misdiagnoses, and the failure to identify the actual problem. Unfortunately, our concerns have largely been ignored, and the customer service throughout this process has been extremely disappointing. We were left with the impression that their approach was to replace parts they believed might be contributing to the problem rather than accurately diagnosing the actual cause and repairing only what was necessary. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend getting a second opinion before authorizing expensive repairs. We feel we relied on their professional recommendations and approved repairs that ultimately were not needed to resolve the issue. Had we continued following Fred Beans' recommendations, we would have spent nearly $8K and that would not even have corrected the actual steering issue. We're sharing our experience so others can make informed decisions before committing to costly repairs.

There were absolutely no issues with the vehicle--at best, I expected needing brakes and/or tires. To my shock, the WHOLE front suspension needed replacing. As well as the battery and battery terminals (which they claimed were leaking). Odd that I never saw any battery leakage or felt problems in the suspension. $2000 later, I had my vehicle back. Now, there is a knocking sound when I go over small bumps. Interesting that they just fixed that and that is the sound I hear. I returned to the service center, and they say the knock is coming from my transmission--and they "claim" the dipstick was removed/missing. Then asked me if I took it out? Meineke is the ONLY place I have taken my vehicle since owning it. WHY would I even look at my transmission fluid? It is way under the vehicle. I would need a lift to access it. They claimed they did not remove it, then charged me $150 to refill it. I get the vehicle back and THERE IS STILL A KNOCK in the suspension. I return yet again, and now it needs another $1000 in repairs to the suspension. They are CLEARLY damaging vehicles and charging customers for the repairs. I am pending a return call from their corporate office regarding these matters. EDIT: They changed the repair cost from $1000 to $600; but still admit no fault in the damage.

Smarmy with a hint of sexism…read more I made the mistake of having a state inspection done here since it was a convenient distance from my house and they could get me in on a Saturday. They were nice when checking me in. They seemed to be well staffed since about 3-4 of them were just hanging out joking with each other in the office when I arrived. After waiting for TWO HOURS (maybe not well staffed?) for the inspection to be complete, I was called up to the desk because they found some "issues." The lower control arms were allegedly in bad condition and the bushings were almost "completely apart". If I just paid them $1000 they could get it fixed right up for me to pass the inspection. Funny since I was just at the dealership a few months ago having a 100,000 mile full work up of my car done including the suspension. Everything was in great condition. I'm no mechanic, but I do take the maintenance aspects of my car that are critical for safety seriously so have it checked out by the dealership regularly. So with normal driving in 3 months and absolutely no issues with steering such as vibration, loud noises, or drifting to one side, I found their claim hard to believe. If we are being honest what actually happened was they saw a young female who was a new resident to the state and thought they could make a quick buck. It's especially obvious when you read other reviews and there is another woman they told the exact same thing to--what a coincidence! Luckily I can tell if someone is trying to take me for a ride. So I decided to go someplace more reputable. I was able to get into the dealership and have them do a full PA safety inspection. The mechanic at the dealership confirmed that there were no issues with the car and met the state's safety requirements. They even washed my car. I'm thrilled to use them regularly from now on for all my maintenance needs. Do not go to Auto Express. They will try and take advantage of you. I look forward to filing a complaint with the state and with the Better Business Bureau.

The place I usually go to (Tire City) had a two hour wait so I called around and Firestone said they could see me right away. While I was waiting to be called in by Tire City, I ran over to Firestone. I gave them my keys and waited. After they looked, they said that my treads were worn to the wear bars on my rear tires and they would suggest getting two entirely new tires. There's no way this is true. I purchased an entire set of four Cooper tires less than two years ago. I know my tires have an 80k warranty and less than 50k miles on them. Again, I do commute, so the treads were worn more than average, but nowhere near gone. They then said if I came in the back they'd show me, so I walked back. Then the tech told me I need FOUR new tires, and due to a previous plug in the one tire, could not patch me up. He also said my rear driver shock was going... car is a 2013 but it doesn't even have 100k miles. He didn't even mention repairing my current tires. This was all too much, so I took my car and went back to Tire City. When they took a look, they said the treads were getting there but not worth replacing. They pulled one screw out of one tire, and a nail out of the other in 20 mins. I was patched up for free and sent on my way, totally repaired. As a single female under the age of 30 that entered this place alone, I cannot BELIEVE I was given the run-around on this. There was absolutely nothing unrepairable about my tires, as Tire City repaired them both for free. Firestone wasted their own time and my time, and tried to take advantage of me 100%. Really sad to see this day and age. Will never return.
