From the moment I went in she act like I was bothering her every question I asked her she had an attitude when she answered. Nobody should go to Dr Anthony Peterson for their eye care!! I paid close to $400 for my lenses from this place and had to take them back twice for cracks. He replaced them the 1st time but the 2nd time I'm told that they look like they've been in some sort of impact and they have not. Very shady that i paid all this money for lenses from this place yet you want to charge me to replace your default lenses. Then I'm told because I didn't buy my frames from him is why the lenses are cracked. WHAT?? This is not good business practices so i would tell anybody and everybody to stay away from this place!! This has been our "go-to" place for our family vision needs and it never disappoints! First of all, they were able to schedule myself and 4 kids back to back so I didn't have to make multiple trips. Secondly, they have everything needed to perform accurate eye exams for children, even if your kids don't know their letters yet. Thirdly, Dr Peterson is always patient and knowledgeable during the exam and takes the time to explain any new changes in your vision. Also, the staff was VERY patient with helping me find frames for my 4 kids, and they clearly itemized our additional needs like lenses that are scratch resistant & block blue light for computer use. I went in and they made the process very simple and they were done in one day! They were friendly and very accommodating. Their employees need to have a 101 customer service class, starting with the male manager (or owner as he called himself to be) *When paying for glasses, and services, they do not give you an itemized receipt, and when you come back 6 months later for a frame warranty they throw extra "unpaid" charges at you right at front. Never was I called or paper billed for the extra charges they sweared to the Insurance company, they called me serval times for. This is probably the most Zen eye doctor experience I've ever had. LOL PEC is a new place so it's a great looking office. The staff is very friendly; and better than that, Dr. Peterson is who makes the experience so Zen. The last eye doctor I went to just shuffled me in and out, but he is calm and thorough. I can say the same about his staff. During my consultation for eye glasses, the staff member patiently helped me pick my frames out and explained my options pretty well. Now to my favorite part. The selection of frames for eye glasses is pretty cool. I normally don't have a really hard time selecting frames but this selection made me spend some time. I've been going here for 2 years. Yes my taste is expensive. However, there always seems to be these different amounts owed from conversations on the phone. I met Dr. Peterson briefly at a community event and later learned he was an Optometrist. I was actually in search of an African-American Optometrist, so I decided to schedule my next appointment with his office. I'm very selective with Doctors, so I was overly observant from start to finish. When I called to schedule my appointment, I could hear the young lady's smile through the phone. When I arrived, the staff was very welcoming and they had procedures in place to combat COVID-19. The office was in immaculate condition and the staff constantly sterilized the equipment so the customers could see it was done. I could tell one staff member was new and the others staff members did a great job with helping her learn while monitoring her. Dr. Peterson is very knowledgeable, professional, and quite a perfectionist. He explained every step of the process and why they were needed, as well as addressed my concerns to make sure I didn't leave with unanswered questions. Unfortunately, he doesn't accept my vision insurance, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to continue with his services with my primary health insurance; however, I highly recommend his office. read more

This was my husband's very first visit at Precision after going to another Eye care office for many years, and he was a bit hesitant because he doesn't like change very much. Well from the time we walked in the door and we're greeted we felt at ease and comfortable like we had been there before. The office is decorated very well and pleasing to the eye. The office is very conveniently located and easy to find which is great for us because we live in Ellis county a 35 minute drive away. Registration was easy and my husband was called back swiftly for his exam with Dr. Peterson which he says was very thorough. He explained everything to him and answered any questions he had. After the exam we were helped by his eyeglass specialist on picking out frames. She was great! Explained our insurance benefit allowance clearly, along with our prescription making sure we ordered the best lenses with the options my husband required. She was very educated and informative making sure all questions were answered and understood. Overall Dr. Peterson was great and his staff was awesome, genuinely friendly, and informed. This is hands down the best optometrist I have ever been to! I actually found them here on Yelp, I'm new to the area and needed to update my prescription (which was two years over due!) so I decided to see what yelp had in store. I wasn't disappointed. When I called to set up and appointment, the guy who answered the phone was chipper and eager to help me. We set up an appointment THAT DAY, and when I arrived there I received the same type of service. I arrived and filled out the normal paperwork and waited to be helped. This wasn't a long wait, and I was greeted and brought into a room to begin checking my eyes etc. Anyways, we got my eyes checked and updated my prescription, and the guy who checked them had no problem dealing with my indecisiveness when choosing option A vs option B, and when we finally nailed down my new prescriptions, we went to find me the perfect pair of frames! This is where another guy came in and helped me pick and choose, and showed me everything. I ended up going with some Gucci frames, and decided I come back another day after their new shipment of Ray Ban frames arrived. I also bought a pair of sunglasses, Wayfarers. I have visited them two other times, each time to pick up the new glasses etc, and each time the helped me with the same eagerness and personal care that anyone could ever hope from an eye doctor. Was given a prescription in October that was triple my past prescriptions therefore my glasses(which were filled at the end of December)are no good. I called to see about having my vision rechecked (recommended by the optician where the glasses were filled)as the prescription was possibly too strong & needed to be adjusted. When I inquired @ this original facility in which I was given the prescription,I was told since it had been past 30 days, I would have to pay for a new eye exam-WTH. I totally agree with the review prior to mine. This was the fourth office I contacted and the only one I found with an available appointment. When I first walked in I was greeted and thought the facility was nice. After waiting 35 minutes to see Dr. Peterson I explained to him my concerns. He is extremely arrogant and I highly recommend you find another doctor. He is a wise guy with an unattractive & unapproachable attitude. Don't believe the other review like I did. New to the area and need an optician under my plan. First red flag, they had appointments any time--clearly no one uses this optician. I made an appointment for the next day. On arrival, the place was empty, save for the two employees who sat at the front looking at their phones and fingernails. They didn't look up or greet me until I mentioned that I had an appointment. It was if they didn't know anyone was on the schedule and were clearly too occupied to pay any attention. After checking in, I was led to a back room for the exam, where I waited 30 minutes for the optician. Clearly there were no other patients that afternoon, but I was still made to wait. The reason became clear when the doctor finally came in--arrogance. I have been experiencing twitching in my eye since a change in my prescription. When I told him my concerns, he was VERY dismissive, saying I am taking in too much caffeine or not getting enough sleep. I am also concerned about my changes in my vision--having to remove my glasses to see up close, and he said "that's just what happens when you get old." Seriously?! They also were going to charge extra, over the amount my insurance covers, for a contact lens exam. After the examination, which was less than thorough, I was expected to buy my glasses there--high pressure sales by another staff member who appeared from nowhere. Glasses frames were extremely overpriced, and clearly the staff was untrained to serve customers. Got my RX and left. Never again. Do yourself a favor: go to an ophthalmologist. I went last week to get exams for both me and my grandson. We had minimal wait. The staff was friendly. Dr. Peterson was thorough, patient, and professional. He was excellent with my grandson who is 6 and has a fear of doctors of all kinds. There was no pressure to buy glasses there, but I did since I had coverage through VPS insurance. I was also given my prescription to take with me for which some places will charge extra due to losing the glasses purchase. The lady who helped us select glasses was great and helpful. I'm not sure about the comment from someone else about being charged extra for contact lens exam, but every insurance I have had only covers exams for glasses. It has always been extra for contact lens. Dr. Petersen was probably right on about the twitching too as possible causes. I've had that in the past and the only thing that help/got rid of it was less caffeine, less straining my eyes, and getting acupuncture. read more
