I had my routine eye exam; in Nov. 2025 I have insurance and received a bill for the eye exam…read more Several calls with Insurance and Shopko, my insurance company sent Shopko proof of pmt, in full in early Jan. 2026 to Shopko, A guy from Shopko called me early Feb. and sd. they received proof of pmt. and to give them a few days to post the pmt. to my account. Over a week later In Feb., Shopko is still showing I owe for the exam. I asked the guy why still show owing when my insurance pd. in early Jan. His comment was "I don't work at Corp, I don't know why pmt. isn't applied yet". I asked to please get this taken care of so that I don't receive another bill. He sd. he would just write off so that I don't received another bill. Well, it shouldn't be written off since you have RECEIVED PMT. IN FULL.. He also mentioned that maybe I should just go somewhere else to get my exams. Since my insurance is really hard to deal with and they always have problems with it. I have a VERY WELL-KNOWN insurance company. I have other coworkers that use Shopko as well. I will make sure they know whati has happened and not to use them. Sooooooooooo Long ShopKo Optical. I am writing as a seller. I brought gently used and even some new clothing to the store. I called…read moreahead of time to learn about their process and what items they were currently accepting. I was told to bring in everything as it is an all-season store. So, I brought in six bags (four were smaller Walmart size bags) with unworn dresses, new leather sandals (it's nearly summer), and a few clean, unstained items I thought would sell well. I was told it would take an hour for them to review my items. That was fine--except I asked them what I should do if it took longer because I needed to be home in an hour and a half when my children got off the bus. They said if I wasn't back to pick up my items before the end of the day the offer for any of them would be gone and they would donate them. They said it was "their system," and they couldn't do anything to get around it. People run systems last I checked, machines are not in charge. When I suggested other options (can I come first thing tomorrow) if they weren't done in an hour, my suggestions were batted down with increasing irritation. I couldn't come back later because of my daughter's baseball game. It was very frustrating and would not have been an issue had it all been explained to me over the phone when I'd called earlier. I chose to gamble, and they did get my items sorted. They chose to take ONE item-- a pair of Old Navy shorts with the tag still on them. I can't prove it was out of spite. I hope not. I like supporting small businesses, but I could read the room and that felt weirdly personal. I suppose that's their right. It's also my right to let people know about my experience so you can make an informed choice.
