Garage opener only- not a door Installed correctly and works well. Technician was friendly and helpful. The estimate is where it was odd. Guy quoted my wife for a 1 horse power unit with a camera and WiFi. Estimate was $1250 for installing opener only. Also told me he would slide on a new $22 rubber seal at the bottom of the door for $100. So $1350! Their website and YouTube channel clear say that this project would require a 1/2 horse power unit. Bought a 1/2 hp at Lowe's for $200 and they installed it for $300. It took them an hour. I slid my own rubber seal on the bottom (bought on Amazon for $22) $550 vs $1350. Do your homework! read more

I've had 2 garage door openers installed by Precision; both Liftmasters with WiFi connectivity (using MyQ). In both cases the installer was punctual and knowledgeable about their products. They tell you who is coming and when they'll arrive. Installation in both cases took about 1.5 - 2 hours. In both cases they had to customize the bracket sensors because of my garage door setup. They handled it no problem! They also run sales on their products, which we were able to take advantage of in both cases to get upgraded models. Our new garage door openers are way more quiet and come with a bevy of helpful features! Aside from the WiFi, there's a temperature gauge, learning button on the keypad (so you don't have to climb up to the main unit to push the button), outdoor keypad entry, automatic entry lighting, and battery backup if the power goes out. The receptionist answered my call, offered a technician who would come that afternoon! They sent us an email identifying the technician with a picture and personal info as well as confirming the appointment. He arrived, evaluated the problem, and gave us options and pricing. I received excellent service. My garage door spring broke Saturday morning. I called Precision and they were able to schedule an appointment within two hours of my call. They gave me a two-hour window for the tech's arrival. The tech called me in advance, as the dispatch said he would. The tech showed up on time and explained the situation. The tech was very knowledgeable, explained what was required, showed me the parts, and explained the pricing. Then he did what he said and charged me what he had stated before the work. My expectations were met and I was happy. I recommend these folks and will call them myself if I need help again. I don't know if their pricing is the best or not, but when I could not open my garage, I wanted quick and competent service, and that's what I got. read more

Can't even give one star. We set up an appointment Friday afternoon for Sunday between 6-8 pm via online chat. Confirmed the appointment Sunday afternoon. At 7:30 we contacted Precision again to confirm they were still coming out, and they said the Tech was running late and would be at our house at 9:00, AND he would call us. At 9:00 we had to contact them again, still no tech or a call...At 9:30 we cancelled. We will look for another company to service our door. Don't waste your time with these folks. read more

Spoke with Jenny on 06-Jul for garage door repair. While she sounded like I was interrupting her day, I figured with all the 5-star ratings, I'd schedule repair. I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to be scheduled with same day service! I explained that I'd left my cell phone at home (which I also use as my landline) so could only be available at work until 3. This is where things went downhill. I was scheduled btw 4-6 pm, only for Ben to leave a call shortly after 3 pm at my work and cell numbers that he was 15 minutes away and could he stop by now to look at the garage door. Of course, I had left work for the day when he called, and arrived home at 3:45 JUST IN CASE anyone arrived early. THERE WAS NO ONE AT MY HOUSE. I continued about my home activities until it dawned on me to check my phone. So, I left a message for Ben that I was still waiting. By the time Ben and I spoke, it was about 5:30 and of course, he told me he lived in Washington, PA, he couldn't make it last evening, yada, yada, yada, call to reschedule, yada, yada, yada. I will gladly schedule my garage door repair without the excuses. What's the point in scheduling time if the technician is going to arrive when it's convenient for them?? read more

Precision came and spent about 15 minutes diagnosing the problem with my garage door. After that, the tech said there was nothing that could be done and I'd have to pay $660 for a new system. Being skeptical, I called a local company (Dilts), who came out, found damaged wiring in under 10 minutes, and only charged me for a service call. The opener now works fine. Had a different company out before them and they said I needed all new equipment because the computer boards are no longer made for my garage door openers. Tried charging me almost 10K. Aaron programmed new remotes, walked me through programming the remote into my car and changing the PIN on the pad. He made some suggestions on prolonging the doors' lives. Called on Monday morning to confirm that he would be at the house between 4-6. Showed up at 5:15 after calling to tell me he was 15 minutes away, Yeah! This was my first call to repair our sectional garage door which was hanging up on the track when operating. It was clear that the cables on both sides of the door had lost tension and one of the door rollers had come loose. I relayed this to the technician and he proceeded to tell me that on the type of door I had there was nothing he could do to repair this and I would have to install multiple new components on the door in order to get it working again and it would cost $750. I gave him another chance to backtrack on this initially clear attempt to push additional parts and labor that was not necessary to repair the door. "Are you sure there is nothing else that can be done to repair this" I asked. He stuck by his initial assessment. I politely thanked him for coming but told him I would like to get another opinion. Fortunately I have enough mechanical know how to avoid being swindled in this case, but that is not the case with many customers. Another local door service reset the door and tensioned the cables for $140 standard service charge and "no additional parts" just to prove my point. The door is operating just fine now. I post this review so that others can rely on it making a decision on service providers. I wasted a morning to be BS'ed, hopefully others won't have to. I will now be posting a similar positive review of the other service that honestly assessed and corrected the problem. read more

I attempted to replace my garage door opener myself but found out the hard way that my door took a custom size. I tried to call the company that originally installed the door and opener for the prior owner's of my house, but they were closed on the weekend. Given that we use our garage door every single day, waiting until Monday was not an option. I called Precision, a person answered, took my information, and set me up for an appointment the very next day (Sunday) at 10 AM. Mike was my tech. He called 30 minutes before arriving, and, perhaps most importantly, he arrived when he said he would. I showed him the problems and he walked me through my options and discussed the pros and cons of the options. He had all the equipment he needed on his truck (new opener that could be customized to my garage door's odd size), which was huge since it was very important that we had the opener up and running ASAP. He was extremely courteous. It only took him about 3 hours to finish. He showed me how everything worked and explained what to do if somethings malfunctions. The new opener is literally whisper quiet and the garage is working great. I cannot recommend Precision high enough. They're available all the time (24/7, 365) and they do great work.
