The spring on our two-car garage door broke the Sunday night of a holiday weekend. There was an emergency phone number for the company (Overhead Garage Door of Spokane-Couer d'Alene) who apparently installed the door when the house was built, which I called. See the review for that company for further information. Fortunately, I quickly found Precision Door Service on the internet. I saw that there many good reviews, reviews that were all current within a month or less. I called their number (around 8 p.m. Sunday night) and spoke to a customer service rep who assured me that there would be a technician at my home the following holiday morning between 7 and 9 a.m. Sure enough, the following morning at 7 a.m. I received a call from their technician, Ken, saying he was on his way. He arrived within a half hour, and quickly went to work. He replaced the spring on the door and then did some basic maintenance on it, then tested it to make sure all was working well. This took a little over an hour, was done for a reasonable sum, and in a courteous and friendly manner. I couldn't be happier. Very pleased with first time doing business with Precision. Adrián was our service rep and he was very professional and did a great job explaining what our situation was. He provided us multiple options and recommendations with how we could approach our situation, giving us the cheapest, middle of the road and more expensive options. I do not feel "nickel and dimed" by Adrián and Precision, which is often what occurs in situations such as ours. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone! After 5 visits and the removal of several cross beams from my garage for a simple installation of a new door, over $1000.00 spent, no work permit was ever pulled and now it's up to me to pay for an inspection to see if my garage can survive the winter with any amount of snow on top. OH, and NO response from the company at all...they don't deserve even one star!!!!!!! read more

The spring on our garage door broke. I checked Yelp and saw very good reviews on Precision Overhead Garage Door Service. I went on their website and a chat with a company representative popped up asking if I needed assistance. I stated the problem and asked for the earliest appointment with a technician. In approximately three minutes, I had an appointment the same day with Technician Adrian Workman. He called to let me know his schedule and arrived within the appointment time. He was very professional. He advised me of the work involved and cost. I approved as it was very reasonable. He went quickly and proficiently to work. The work took approximately an hour and during this time he was courteous and had a friendly manner. He tested it to make sure the door was working well; he even helped me program my car's remote garage door opener. He took a lot of pride in his work. We had our ancient garage door opener replaced last winter. New rollers and springs were added to the old door. We are very pleased with the price and the speed of the upgrade. About a week ago, it started squeaking loudly just before it closed and just after opening. I called yesterday afternoon and, today, technician Riley Golay came out this morning and fixed it. No charge. No hassles. This is a great company and they deserve the five stars I'm giving them. If you're thinking about getting a new door, call them first. You'll get fast, excellent service. Had a very friendly serviceman replace my garage door spring about 5 weeks back. After looking over my old wooden door, I decided it needed replaced. Today I had Riley come out and install my new door. He was on time, quick to work but cordial as well. Very neat in picking up after himself. Even when faced with working around my unique garage set up, Riley was right on it. Do whatever you need to but keep this guy with you. What a great asset. read more

My garage door wasn't opening and closing all the way. They tried to schedule an appointment same day, but it didn't work with my schedule so they came first thing the next morning. I use a homeowners insurance and my experience has been when I request repairs thru the insurance, they send out an email to the company they work with and it usually takes the company a day or two to contact me. Not Precision - they called inside of ten minutes. I explained the issue (a garage double door was not opening) and they had a tech in the area who was at work inside of two hours. Cody Lincoln was the tech. Pleasant, professional and polite, he explained what was wrong, what he would do to fix it, and had it repaired in short order. Since it was a gear set, he was working just on the motor. But, he looked at the door, noticed it was squeaking a bit and lubed the part where the two springs come together. Then he tightened up all the door joints and replaced some missing screws at no additional charge. I would definitely use them again without hesitation. read more

I would not recommend this company. I needed a new garage door immediately, someone drove thru mine and left my house open and exposed. I paid for the emergency service. I selected a new door and was told it would take too long to get. Disappointed, I selected a door they promised to have installed within a day or two (my house was not able to be locked and had to stay home from work). The garage door was not installed for two weeks. I had to hire a house sitter to go back to work. Imagine my disappointment paying the emergency fee and NOT getting the door I wanted because it would take two weeks. (The standard door took that long anyways!) I asked them to mail me the remaining balance due. Instead they waited three weeks then charged my card I had given them for the deposit. I did not authorize the charge. I will pay my bill, but I should be able to do so in the method and account I choose; not you fraudulently charging my card. They also failed to call my insurance back and I ended up having to pay out of pocket. Long, painful story short, cost me more money (house sitter), did not get the door I wanted, took weeks instead of days as promised, and was charged incorrectly. Take my advice- find a different company to work with. read more

Ordered a new garage door was told it would take six weeks to paint and deliver. At six weeks finally got a call to set up a time to install, they call me the day to install and they can't find the door. Apparently nobody checked to see if it was physically at the shop. Guess what I had to do, wait another three weeks to reorder and wait again but when it got close I had to call to see if it arrived. There is no contact or straight line of communication from the sales person, plant and customer. Not a way to run a business!! A simple follow up phone call is all it takes ! Anyways, when it was finally installed, I love the quality of the door and hardware and the installer knew exactly what he was doing and get this, there was not one speck of dirt or random screw, he even did an excellent clean up. Thank you !! So I told my mom the story of what happened to me when she asked if I recommend them to fix her garage door. Surely it wouldn't happen to her too, right? Wrong, she ordered her door in April, it's now the middle of June and her installer brought her the wrong door at six weeks, said she had to wait three weeks to reorder and paint, at the ninth week SHE had to call their dispatch line and called the Spokane phone number and guess what, the door has been here ( Who knows how long ) but nobody called her, so after HER calling maybe she'll have a garage door, we'll see...BS, again Has anybody else had these experiences? read more
