Drains I kind of understand, but I tried to snake one once and it was a disaster. For plumbing needs, I call a plumber. The first plumber I tried came from one of the local Best of the Capital Region polls. And they were fine. But I didn't really like that the fellow who came out to look at the job and the fellow who came out to do the work were different people. Yes, I realize this is how a lot of home service companies work, and probably most consumers are fine with it. I'm fine with it too. I just like Chris better. Every time I've had to call on Chris, he could have taken me to the cleaners. Each problem had a potentially very expensive fix. But every single time, either through hard work, sheer determination, or just a keen eye, he's been able to get me out of the jam for much much less. When we left the area for a few months and had a family renting our house, I knew that I could call Chris and he would take good care of them. And he did. Most recently, we thought our water heater had died. We were prepared to buy one from him. But he told us there was nothing wrong with the heater. The problem was the circuit breaker box.
