I was happy with my doctor at the Tyler office, which was why I drove 11/2 hours to my appointments. I cannot say the same for the front office. The communication with patients is not acceptable and leaving a voice message which is the only option available, does not mean you will get a return call. This was my experience more than once. At the present, I have been trying to have my records transferred since May 12. Again, speaking to a person is not an option and saying they will call back in 72 hours is not true. read more

I asked my primary physician to send me here when it was apparent I needed special care for back pain. She wanted me to start with pain mgmt and since I was a patient of Dr. Gordon (at his previous practice) I wanted to come here so I would already be set up and ready to see him once we knew surgery was needed. I was set up with Dr. Calodney for the pain mgmt and I thought he was fine in the beginning. My second appt was with his PA to receive my MRI results via a televisit and that was a fiasco. I waited in a virtual waiting room for more than an hour to talk to her. Once she signed in she was not friendly and didn't give me the full results (I found out there was more to my problem once I finally saw him). I saw Calodney again and tried several injections that never worked. I asked to be referred to Dr. Gordon to fix my herniated disc and was ignored. I left this practice for another one and I'm glad I did. Dr. Gordon is awesome for anyone who needs to know, but I wouldn't think it is worth the headache of dealing with this office. The billing was always screwed up and I would have to call to tell them they applied pmts wrong or billed me on dates I wasn't seen. They finally got it all straightened out but it just seems unorganized and unprofessional. read more

I received a bill from PSC of Tyler with an erroneous amount of $2,554.56. I called the number on the bill and spoke to a person in a call center in Kenya who did not have any information about the bill I received other than I owe approximately $5,000+. I do not know what is going on with PSC. The doctors who provided excellent care are no longer contracted with my local office in Texarkana, Texas. The billing staff, who once provided accurate information and were knowledgeable of insurance carriers' codes and statements of coverage, can no longer assist. The Kenya call center staff are not fluent in English and requested to speak to a supervisor and had to wait days for a return call. I think that someone needs to take a look at what is going on. I understand companies are trying to maximize their profit margin, but I don't think hiring substandard administrative office staff, or the lack thereof, and staff lacking knowledge of communicating the billing system, will ...just my belief will ever truly increase your profit margins. Customer ratings have been very low for a while and continue to decrease. read more

This is the worst place to visit if you have ever back or neck pain. They recommended I have surgery after seeing the doctor for 5 min. The rest of my visit was with the PAs, and they don't give a care about you, especially this one PA by the name of Ruben. Go somewhere else if you have pain. read more

I went to Precision spine to find out what was wrong with my lower back because I had been to several doctors already with no answers. I had an MRI, but no one seemed to be able to read it correctly. Dr. Harper came in the room with his laptop open and showed me exactly what the issue was. That was great!!! He gets 10 stars. He is very professional in his approach and communication with the patient. He scheduled an injection to help the healing process, I arrived at the hospital on time, went through the admin stuff, was taken back to the surgical ward and then told because my blood sugar was too high that they would not do the injection. I left and did not return. I followed the instructions given for NPR but his staff instructed me that I could eat or drink until 7:00am which caused my blood sugar to be high. NPR should have been midnight instead. Too bad the communication was that poor. They need to work on that. I did not reschedule the injection. read more

Charles Gordon MD is one of the most compassionate and caring doctors in the USA. I've known him all his life and used his father as a child. Dr. Gordon diagnosed and treated me after a severe car wreck. He performed a double level cervical fusion and got me back to normal after recovery. After a 4 hour wait for a doctor, in our 5 minute meeting he told me Several times how he was doing me a favor working me in from a partner practice on a week notice, that I needed all new MRI's and X-Rays and re-evaluation. I am asking for a new regimen without opioids and the result? Just an opioid renewal and no follow up on anything we discussed. Total arrogance and lack of patient care or empathy. Dishonest, unethical pricing practices. I'd be scared to death to have a high dollar surgery done with them. Sold me a back support belt after their tech gave me an estimate of $150 for my cost after insurance. Found out later from my insurance company that Precision billed the insurance company $1878! My insurance wouldn't pay for it, and wrote it down to $666, still an outragously high contract price. Precision then came after me for $518, as I hadn't met my deductible, after missing their estimate of my cost by over 350%. When confronted with their egregiously high pricing, the office manager was extremely rude and refused to be reasonable. They said they never provided me an estimate at all (not true, I made their tech go back out of the room and get an estimate before I agreed to buy it, which my wife witnessed) , and then hid behind an irrelevant policy, saying me it was their policy not to write off deductibles. The problem isn't the deductible, it's the uncommunicated, egregiously high price being billed, which resulted in a balance due that far exceeded the estimate that I was given--an estimate that I used to make my buying decision. Medical providers have a moral and ethical responsibility to advise their patients the total amount that they will that they will be billing for a product. It allows the patient to assess their risk, and understand how much they will be responsible for if: 1) they haven't met their deductible; 2) the insurance company refuses to pay their egregious price; or 3) as in my case, when the insurance company, after writing it down, still accepts an egregiously high price like $666 for a $30 weight belt. If they had told me the real price, I could have assessed my risk properly, and made an informed decision to buy the belt elsewhere. I offered to pay $50 more than the estimate, at $200, to settle it. They refused, and Dr. Gordon's office refused to take any responsibility for his tech's estimate as well. After dragging me along, promising for six months they were going to look into it, they sent it to the office manager, who told me I could send my demand letter to "wherever my little heart desires". Dr. Calodney has never been anything but good to me! He tries not to hurt me and most of the time hasn't. I just hope there are more Doctors who follow in his footsteps! He has helped me be as functional as possible with little medication. I just hope he doesn't retire! read more

I was recommended and referred to this facility. They seem to have good doctors, but their communication is incredibly frustrating. It was a pain to get my referral confirmed and an appointment set up, I saw Griffith who was kind and knowledgeable. I was supposed to set up my numbing injection appointments and an MRI. They set me up for the numbing but when they didn't have the orders for the MRI the frustration began again. Four phone calls into messages and the Friday before my appointment I get a confirmation call. When I ask about it I'm told that's not me I've received all those messages I and passed them onto a nurse. I'll transfer you- Before I could say a thing I was transferred to ANOTHER voicemail. I finally canceled my appointment and that's when someone actually called looking to help. I just wanted communication. read more

My grandmother had a fall a few months ago. They've been great by evaluating her and her doctor has answered her questions and concerns and made her very comfortable. Everyone has been very kind. I work in the healthcare industry and I understand insurance authorizations for scans and procedures very, VERY well, however this place takes so long to get patients scheduled. I just think there's lack of communication. This place isn't horrible, but I'm sure there's better if you want to make the drive to the Dallas area to see a doctor I would definitely recommend that instead. read more

The communication amongst the staff is pathetic. I was scheduled for an initial injection which was completed. There was a miscommunication along the way and I was called at 4:42 pm on Wednesday for an injection scheduled at 8:00 am the next morning. They told me my insurance company had denied the injection and they were going to cancel. I was lucky enough to get ahold Megan who found out everything was fine and we would proceed as scheduled. As I was wheeled into the OR for my injection, the doctor suggested I receive all of the pain medicine on my right side instead of splitting equally on the left and right. I agreed and he said to go ahead and schedule the next inject for a couple of weeks out. I made the appointment and was called the day prior telling me my insurance had denied the request for a second injection. I called the insurance company and they do not have any record of a second request. I called back to the doctors office and found out they had forgot to inform the proper employee who seeks approval from the insurance companies. I have called the doctors office and left messages on at least 30 different occasions with only 4 or 5 callbacks. I'm still waiting on FMLA paperwork and the initial injection was 21 days ago. I will not be back here for future treatments strictly due to the office staff/nurses who refused to communicate properly with their patients. Other problems I've had include not being able to get ahold of anyone in HR to report the list of problems I've had, they had me scheduled for a doctors appointment that I didn't make, initial scheduling was a pain in the ass. That lady told me at least 8 times to bring a copy of my MRI to the initial appointment or the doctor would not see me. I finally had to tell her that I completely understood that I needed a copy of the MRI. When I requested a specific doctor at the facility her response was "Oh, he REALLY is particular about the paperwork. You'll need the notes from where the MRI was read and the X-rays." I told her I had all of that information in hand and would mail it to their office prior to my appt. so they'd have time to review it. She said "well I'll schedule for another surgeon we have here." Turns out it was a much younger doctor with far fewer years of experience. His name is James Muns and he did a fantastic job explaining my options by the way. I was a patient at Precision Spine Care the Doctor that I was seeing was Dr. Griffith and I use the term very loosely. Initial visit was through Zoom and the connection was very poor so he called directly on the phone. I informed him what the neurosurgeon said that he thought my diagnosis maybe. The Doctor immediate started sending precertifications to my insurance company to get the green light to start performing procedures. I had never met him in person or been to his office nor had he ever examined me. He immediately started doing injections when one didn't work he had another excuse for what the problem maybe and set up more injections even going so far as to give an injection without using a guide so he could see the area he was injecting. Before he started to did around in my back I would only have flares every so often. Now as a 49 year old woman I have been left with debilitating pain on a everyday basis. I'm not even allowed to interact with my grandchildren like I should be I was planning for a wedding and now that has been put on hold. I simply have no life and what life I do have consist of daily debilitating pain that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. He has never picked up a pen and wrote a prescription for any kind of medication. Not a muscle relaxers gabapentin lyrica or anything the only thing that has been accomplished is that I have beef basically paralyzed on my right side from my lower back into my feet. When he did my first procedure the nurse at the hospital had to hunt him down and make him introduce himself to me. If you do call his office you never get a return call and the staff is always rude. I have been single handily put out of work as the pain will not allow me to stand. I can't pick up my 2 year old granddaughter so as Dr. Griffith gets to carry on with his everyday activities and makes tons of money by hoarding people through the hospital for procedures my life has essentially been brung to a complete stop. My life has been ruined I went to him or shall I say video chatted him for help and now all I have is memories of what my life use to be. As an African American pain medication wasn't even considered for me, but my white counterparts are still able to seek him out and get pain medication. How do I know this I have a white friend who sees him and he has no problems writing her pain medication. Me on the other hand hasn't even had the pleasure of entering his office yet he has no problem billing my insurance company for his procedures that have left me without a normal life. Cooking Cleaning Dressing Going to work fixing my hair are things that I can no less longer do thanks to Dr.Griffith I wonder how he would feel if he couldn't pick up his 2 year old granddaughter. Ride in a car without hurting walking without hurting and sleep what is that but a distance memory to me because I no longer have that pleasure because of debilitating pain. I'm quite sure that he could careless but the oath he took was to do no harm. I have been harmed for the rest of my life unless God grants me a miracle. As for everyone else please use yelp google and any other tools at your disposal and find out all the information you can before seeing a Doctor because 9 times out of 10 the people that are complaining aren't complaining for no reason. Usually you can tell something is going on if you leave messages for 2 weeks and never receive a return call. The staff that you may speak with attitudes are so bad that it's pathetic but I've always been told attitude reflects leadership. read more

The physicians and staff are so accommodating. They ended up finding an infected disk and they literally saved my life but helping to speed up the pre-certification process for tests and surgery. They were truly very caring and made sure all my questions were answered and that I understood all the process. I had about 15 specialists and the physicians at Precision including Charley Gordon, Lee Griffith and Aaron Calodney made sure that all of that care was coordinated. I had surgery and procedures from all three of these physicians and was so blessed to have what I feel is the best in the country. I'd give five stars if the billing process hadn't been a total cluster lasting five months & culminating in me (a medical billing rep, myself) telling the billing supervisor exactly how much of a mess their process was, how it was billed incorrectly, how the attempt to correct this (I called in January to inform them that they had billed incorrectly & they stated then that they would refund the money to Medicare, reverse the charges to Medicare & would bill Veterans Choice like they should have in the first place.) was done incorrectly & how rude the customer service rep & the rep's supervisor were. The first 2 claimed the issue stemmed from their software limitations but were, in fact, errors made by humans. The statement we received also mentioned sending the account to collections even though 1) the account was marked current and 2) you can't collect from the patient if you have screwed up the billing - that's not how it works. Statements are a mess. Line items do not match up with the dollar amounts & actions attributed to them. (Ours says VA paid & was refunded but it was actually Medicare that paid & was refunded.) The date of payment was stated as two days after the refund - not sure how you refund money you hadn't received yet. After a total of 2.5 hours on the telephone trying to clear up the mess the billing supervisor conceded that the process had been botched & the attempt to correct had been botched (tho the rep had good intentions) & that it did, in fact, need to be addressed. Several hours after the call ended the billing supervisor called me to tell me that she had actually called Veterans Choice office personally & that they had received the corrected claim. I wish the gal in January had asked her superiors for help in correcting the errors. This all could have been avoided. The experience that we had in the office was stellar. Great consult with the doc. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Helpful referrals person. (Denise was AMAZING at helping us navigate the Choice Program for the first time.) The surgery itself was great. The surgeon was great. PT was great and very caring considering he's an amputee & cannot ambulated as their average patient can. Hospital nursing staff was great except for the person "assisting" my husband out of his room upon discharge on Christmas Day. I was attempting to gather all of our belongings and she was barking at us to get going. We literally had 15 minutes from the time we learned he'd be discharged that day to him getting in the vehicle to head home. It felt like it was a mass exodus because they were short handed due to the holiday. (They discharged 90% of their patients at the same time as my husband.) I had been documenting his output of fluids and blood for two days already so it's not like they were overworked with him. They came in to give meds 3 times a day &checked his vitals at the same time. I helped him w/everything else that they normally would have. My husband is an amputee who had just had back surgery so I needed to make sure he was safely getting prepared to go (getting him dressed, getting his brace on, making sure he used the facilities before the drive home, etc.) while making sure I had all of our belongings. I've never experienced such treatment from any hospital staff before at any hospital discharge. (Including the VA!) To say we felt rushed is an understatement. Our first night home he spiked a fever so I called the hospital who told me to give him Motrin. (One, he has Addison's Disease so a fever can be a sign of adrenal crisis and two, Motrin is not recommended after back surgery as it can hamper bone healing.) I feel like if it had been any other time but the holidays none of this would have happened. Bottom line, the docs are great and know what they are doing. Don't have surgery around holidays and stay on top of the billing to make sure it's done correctly. (And hope you don't get the same lady that we did to bum rush you out upon discharge.) read more

I can't say enough good about the staff that I have dealt with at PSC. Several jumped thru hoops to get me in to try and get my pain under control. I saw Dr. Aaron Calodney for several injections in my hip, low back, and neck. He took the time to visit with me about all of my concerns. I always recommend him for those needing some pain relief in these same areas. The injections helped for a while, but then my neck pain just could not be controlled. I then was able to see Dr. Charles Gordon who took the time to discuss my surgery options. In December 2017, he performed the surgery and I've been pain free for several months. My husband now has the same protruding disc, and there is no hesitation that we will again seek help from both Drs. Calodney and Gordon. read more

Until recently, this facility was very good. They've recently hired a nurse/PA named TRAVIS SQYRES, who is the stand-in for actual doctors at this facility. This man (over 6' tall) verbally attacked me by getting within 5" of my face & SCREAMING at ME because he forgot to schedule my procedure and denied my request had been submitted, but being the one in debilitating pain, I'm certain of making the request & following up monthly until the recent horrific appointment I described. I wouldn't let Travis treat my worst enemy. He was red-faced raging & I literally thought he came at my face to physically attack me, but it was just to scream in my face that he would NOT agree to disagree over the procedure request he forgot to notated months ago. I reported the experience to the first nurse I found & with no notice whatsoever, was dismissed from care after 5yrs without incident until this appointment. I'm now facing running out of very strong, addictive pain medication in 7 days. Only bad businesses protect bad employees. read more

i don't recommend precision spine care. they have had me come in multiple times with the same issue. nothing has been done to fix my problems with my spine and they won't give any medications because they specifically don't want to!!! i have been in pain for 4 months, every day, and finally got an mri a month ago: no one called me to go over it and don't really care that i have 2 bulging discs in my cervical vertebrae(discs have a small protrusion-spinal forminal narrowing some stenosis degenerative disc disease . i have just recently received a return phone call from the nurses. in the past i had to continue to keep calling because they are too busy and don't return your phone calls. it's a waste of time and money and people in pain go somewhere else. i have met with dr griffith one time- other than that he's not there or in surgery and have been scheduled for a follow up appointment when nothing has been done. 4 months now! i'm waiting on the insurance to approve my epidural. this pre-authorization should have been sent in 4 months ago! read more
