Came to get my rear brakes repaired. The team got me squared away. I'd called another mechanic nearby and they quoted me for brakes and rotors even though my rotors didn't need to be replaced. Skylar is so informative and helpful. As a woman, I often worry when getting my car serviced that I am not getting a fair deal but the precision team was fair and informative. I will definitely be back. My only complaint would be that the bathroom was kinda gross. I get it -- they're busy but sometimes car work can take time and I wouldn't want to be stuck there for hours with that being my only available bathroom. read more

Had to get my car serviced after years long issues that I had with it. I went around to a bunch of different Pugh's locations and they couldnt get to my car and I had to schedule an appointment a week in advance. Then I went to another local shop and they pretty much told me the same thing. I ended up here at Precision Tune and just on a whim. They were able to take my car and gave me an estimate an hour later and had my car finished later that day. It was amazingly quick service for the work I needed to get done. They were so good I went back a month later for a brake job and that was done perfectly and quickly. The price was a little above what I probably what have paid elsewhere but for the quality and speed of service it could not be beat. read more

Needed.brakes and rotors on a late Saturday afternoon. Didn't realize they were so bad until they were, and by then it was dangerous to drive. They knew that and charged me almost $600! That's crazy when I know the parts are under $200, which means almost $400 was labor. read more

Took car in for check engine light, 6.5 hours later told they fixed that code and now there were 2 more new codes. Price to fix doubled. I declined because it seemed they made the issue worse not better. I was right now my cruise control is not working as well. Nice enough staff but poor resolution of issue. read more

I went to Percision Tune Auto to get my Valve cover Gasket fixed and my Vc Axle replaced for $1,700 the shop put the wrong part on my car I found out from the dealer shop causing my car to leak oil messing up my spark plugs I went back to the shop to let them know that my Car was not fixed correctly The manger afford to fix it with no charge when it was time to pick my car up it was not fixed at all the manger said if i show him a receipt from the dealer stating that the part was not on correctly that he would compensate my money when I showed him the receipt he stated I'm not compensated you anything so I'm going to let the state consumer protection Agency and talking legal actions in small claims court i Would not recommend anyone to go to this shop at all. read more

BEWARE-Very nice front desk person but if their mechanics order a part that doesn't end up being right for you vehicle, they WILL not reimburse you the $ for the part. Horrible policy since their mechanics ordered the part, charged me for it and when it didn't fit, they refused to give me my money back simply bc the dealership does not allow returns for special order parts. As a prev business owner they should've swallowed the cost since they ordered the wrong part. I even witnessed how the part they ordered didn't fit my wheel at all and could not be forced on. read more

I'd like to start by saying I never review businesses but downloaded the yelp app just to write this review.. been waiting going on 2 hr 30 mins for a simple tire change when I made a appointment close to a week ahead of time. And was a little disappointed when I was called back yesterday and told it was gonna be a xtra $160 on top of the $500+ that was quoted as final price. Then I arrive and told that it would be a 1 1/2 hours for the service which to change 4 tires with an appointment was longer than told/expected . Older Gentlemen behind the counter. (Manager) acted like he didn't care and was quite snobby when I checked on the time before car was done keep in mind it's been a hour over time that he assured it would be done. I would definitely check around if you're reading this review. I know I will not be returning based on This experience. The first time I want to this place I get an oil change it took almost 4 hours to get it done and they acted like I was bothering them when I asked when my car was going to be done. I went there last Friday for a coolant leak in my car. I waited 6 hours for them to tell me that it was a Coolant Fan Switch. They said it cost $223.10 just for the part and it is the same part that goes for $32 on all any of the part stores. Then come on Monday and the coolant is still leaking. So I went back because they have a "warranty"; when I got there the mechanics said that he would fix it no charge to me. But 2 hours later he siad that I needed a water pump and a timing belt. This kit usually cost $90-$150 but they quoted me $1000. So after almost $500 being paid to fix the switch and almost 8 hours my life my coolant is still leaking and their still scamming people. I am a travel Nurse here in greenville,NC starting my assignment at Vidant this week. Because I am staying close to the hospital I wanted to ride a bike to work. I bought a bike on Amazon and tried to put it together myself and FAILED haha I could not get it to ride! I called Precision Tune Auto and spoke with James the manager who stated that one of his mechanics rode bikes professionally and could help me fix my bike! They did just what they said and made it so I could ride safely to work this week! Thank God for managers like James and businesses taking the time to help everyone in need especially during this pandemic when bike shops aren't able to stay open because they aren't "essential" at this moment. If the rating stars were piles of crap, I would rate this 5 piles of crap, but they're not so I give this the lowest rating possible. I went in here to have my tire plugged, a seemingly simple task. They guy working the front desk comes out to ask me if I'm sure that's the correct tire because they can't find any thing. I tell this guy who probably can't fill a tire with air, yes that's definitely the tire and yes I filled it with air today and yes it has gone down. He comes back to tell me that they can't plug the tire and tries to sell me a new tire for $109. So I tell him no, I'd like to make sure that I don't have full size spare tire in the trunk (I just bought the car a week ago) and make a decision after. The front desk dude then proceeds to swear that my car won't have a full size spare and that he is 90% sure that it has a donut, while talking to me like I'm a 2 year old that just rolled up in my Big Wheels. I tell him that I'm not taking his word and to go check the spare tire in the trunk. He finally goes to check and is amazed that there is a full sized spare in the trunk which I tell them to put on. Why not since they have it up anyways. Then the front desk guy comes back and charges me $20 for the service of not finding the leak until I insist that it's there, finding the full size spare that I insist he goes to check for, and putting the spare on. I ask him what he is charging me $20 for and he asks me if I'm in school. I say no, I own my own business. Then he asks if the guy should work for free? This guy obviously has never heard of customer service and the fact that they didn't actually fix anything!! This back and forth goes on as I tell him that he should do that as a service, he didn't fix anything. You go to any Auto Part Store and they will come out to your car and help you with a smile because that's what good customer service is. $20 to put my spare tire on after he couldn't find the leak in the first place, insisted that there was a donut in my trunk when there wasn't, tries to sell me a $109 tire, then is belittling and condescending!!! read more

I took my vehicle to them to price and fix my throttle valve controller. I paid $95 for them to hook my vehicle up to their computer. Other places around here that I have been too charge about $55. They gave me a price to fix it - over $700 with a two-year warranty. I went to Pugh's Tire and had the same work done for less than $400 with a one-year warranty on parts. So if it goes bad again, I can basically pay to have it fixed again at any time, not just two years, for what Precision Tune Auto Care charges. Save your money, do not go here, they are making money selling you the warranty. You might never need to have this work done again. Good luck. Took my car in for a antifreeze leak, $300 to supposedly replace a couple of hoses and 1 1/2 hours down the highway my cars running hot and leaking, 10 pm and I'm stuck on the side of the road, sleeping in the car and will have to see if I can find a shop nearby in the morning that can actually fix what's wrong, a $300 lesson I learned to stay the H@LL away from that place. read more

Atrocious. Highly impersonal customer service. When I asked if they carry used tires, the response was a flat "We don't sell used tires, we sell new ones." I found 2 tires elsewhere which cost me less than the 1 quoted. I asked if they could mount the good tire to the spare rim. They said yes, but guess they just forgot! If your car is on fire, and you're right out front, go to Jiffy Lube instead. It's right across the street, and you can find a smile or two there. read more

Fast and cheap service, but they tried to sell me a new timing belt (which i just had replaced two months ago)

Went in to get a simple alignment, at the counter I explained to the "technician" that I have a modified suspension that lowers the car and the last place could not do the alignment because my car would scrape getting on to the alignment machine, waited 3 hours (not a problem they were fairly busy) only to have them scrape the bottom of my car getting on the alignment table and it wasn't until I pulled out my phone and decided top record this encase they really mess something up that they decide to put down blocks so that my car doesn't scrape another technician pulls me aside and explains to me he cannot properly align my car I was irritated at that point but still understanding. It wasn't until I get to the front counter and the guy doesn't apologize for wasting my time nor dose he even make eye contact just lifts his hand with my keys in them read more

Don't ever go here. They're scam artists. They do good work, I will give them that, but they will charge an absolutely outrageous amount of money to do any repairs on your vehicle and then try to scare you into doing more repairs on your vehicle that you don't even need. This place is a hot mess. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation a week ago. First of all they did not tell me anything, what was done, what needed to be done, if they found any problems or concerns, nothing... My power steering went out today because the fluid was low and I checked my brake fluid and it was also low, they were supposed to have filled them up a week ago when I had my oil changed and apparently they did not. I also have had to fill up the tires with air because they did not do that either, and my car is pulling to the left now since they rotated the tires. I called to complain and they told me that my car had been leaking fluids in the last week, and I did not have any leaks ever in the past before I came there... They obviously did not do their job or purposely messed up something so I would come back and have them fix it. HA! I will NEVER have anything done at this shady place again... I recommend staying FAR away... read more

Did my own alternator replacement on a Ford Taurus 2001 because the old one went bad. In the process I got a power steering fluid leak near the pump. Also had issues with the battery and needed it to be jumped wherever I went. Took it to this place and they said I needed to replace my power steering pump for over $300 and the alternator was bad. They were going to charge around $70 to do a diagnostics test. Took it home and tested the alternator myself with an alternator tester and a VOM and the alternator was fine. Found out the same day that the battery was bad and got it replaced under warranty. Have no issues with alternator and battery now. In terms of the power steering leak I talked to a few mechanic friends and one of them looked at it. The hose is leaking and not the pump itself. So basically I give this one a bad star because they misdiagnosed the alternator definitely and more than likely misdiagnosed the power steering pump if my mechanic friends are right which I trust them a lot more than some people just trying to rip me off. read more

Utterly amazed I purchased a Bmw from a local owner. The oil changes had been performed by precision tune. I called them to find out what oil they used in their bmw's not satisfied that they did not use a Bmw LL01 approved oil. I decided to revert back to Bmw oil from the dealership. Upon changing the oil the filter housing was missing the inner part that goes through the filter that is used to keep oil in the filter housing. The filter was just sitting in there. I find this to be totally unacceptable. I am even prepared to hear them say it must have not been there to begin with. Well if they change oil in German made cars everyone of them has this and they should have informed customer it was missing. I used this company about 5 years ago I found them incompetent then and just as much now. I have a written statement from a mechanic and pictures. Should anything happen to this engine they will be paying for repairs. read more
