I asked the front desk lady (who was the one who quoted me at $400) about it, and she gave some excuse that didn't make any sense. I tried pushing her on it, and she wouldn't budge. My girlfriend took my car in to get an oil change on my car done using a Groupon I had purchased. They gave her a bunch of crap about it being a scam, and then went on to say my car had already used 2 for the year. This was all lies. I contacted Groupon and they assured me there is no scam. That the company does have to pay them an amount every time a Groupon is purchased and used so they don't like taking them. This is my first time getting my oil changed this year and I only get my oil changed twice a year maybe. If I rack up enough miles. They were basically looking for any reason to not honor the Groupon. I travel for work so had to hear about this happening while being in a whole other state. I have had issues in the past using their Groupon as well. Saying not to buy the Groupon and just come in because they'll honor the price. Then STOP posting them on Groupon!!! Instead of giving your customer a bunch of harassment when they come in to use it. Don't buy the Groupon and don't use them. It's unprofessional and my girlfriend felt accused of doing g something she didn't even do. Horrible place. read more

Came in to have an intake manifold replaced since it was leaking and defective. They quoted me a little over $900 all set and done, with an estimated turnaround time of one day, so I went ahead and dropped the car off. At the end of the day, they called me saying they needed more time, and would be done first thing next morning. By the next morning, they called saying the car is still leaking, and they only replaced the gaskets. Then they added another $300 on top of my original estimate for a new manifold. I specifically mentioned that the manifold was bad, and it needed to be replaced, and when I confronted them about not listening to my instructions, they played dumb and pretended the gaskets were the main concern. I have personally done this kind of job twice on two different vehicles, but was unable to do it this time because of my living situation at the moment. I mention this because I was able to do this job in less time with basic hand tools at my home, for a quarter of what this ended up costing me. I will never deal with this dishonest, incompetent shop ever again. It's a shame this will be my first and last time dealing with them, but when they can't follow basic instructions and listen to their clients, what else can you do? read more

This review is based on oil changes only. I've been coming here for probably 5 years now based on a recommendation from a relative. I haven't had any issues with my cars after my oil changes. I can feel the difference in how my car drives afterwards and the information they provide after completing is also helpful. I don't ever feel like they try to sell me everything under the sun but do offer their specials and advise what may be a good idea for the next visit without badgering new to hand them more money. The customer service has been good every time as well, no matter who I'm speaking with. They have a good size waiting area indoors with a couple toys for children, magazines, TV and a water dispenser. This is handicapped accessible as well and easy for a person in a wheelchair to maneuver around. read more

Well. I got a coupon for discount oil but they don't offer other services like pepboys. I also got a tire rotation for added cost and I think there was a communication, my rotation wasn't done until much later so I had to wait much longer (total of three hours for my car to be serviced). If you want to buy a groupon just ask them for price matched because the lady says if we use groupon their workers won't get paid as much. but overall, I would just go to pep boys if you want a tire rotation also, otherwise use price match Groupon here if you ONLY need oil change. Pepboys are pricey but they also offer to run a free inspection on your car and free tire rotations. I came in with low pressure indicator, left Auto Tune with the same message. I have a shop that does my repair work, they're awesome, and I don't think I'd take my car here for repairs or even for inspection. But for oil change only, they came through. We were looking for a spot to get an oil change done quickly. Same day. Drop it off and pick it up a little later. I don't love the speedy lube shops, and this kind of chain is akin to it, but it seemed like the best choice given the circumstances, and my regular guy wouldn't be able to fit me in. We rolled up, went in, and sure enough they could squeeze us in. Fast forward a couple of hours (it's not a quicky lube spot, but it's still fast-ish) and it was ready to go. No pressure to upsell, no pressure to fix anything, just an oil change and we're back out on the road. That's a pretty slick deal, I think. I brought my vehicle in because my shifter kept getting stuck in park. I did some research online before hand and it looked like it would probably be a simple fix, that a fuse was out or something like that. I waited at the location for around 3 hours. While I was there, another customer came into the store, furious, claiming that her car had started making strange noises after a routine service and that another mechanic had told her that it was Precision Tune Auto Care's fault. I also heard the woman working at the front desk on the phone later, saying how difficult it was that they only had one technician working and that the technician needed to leave soon. I watched as the technician looked at my car, he probably spent 5 minutes in there. As he was looking, the front desk woman said "Oh, it looks like it's the transmission!" I was confused as to how she would make that assumption watching him from outside. When the technician came back in they told me that my transmission was completely shot. This was very surprising to me, since my car had generally been driving fine and I didn't understand how he could diagnose that in such a short period of time. The front desk woman did some research and told me that the transmission would be 6,600 to replace and recommended that I try going to a transmission repair spot for a cheaper price. She gave me a discount on the diagnostic, around $40 instead of $60. I have reached the conclusion that the mechanic was just trying to get me out of there and that they made an assumption with very little evidence. I took my vehicle to Mike Palmer's Automotive, my usualy mechanic, and they diagnosed the problem as a short circuit in my brake light, making it a much cheaper and simpler repair. I am appalled that if I wasn't the type to get a second opinion that I would have potentially done an incredibly expensive repair or sold my car. It also is a bit absurd that I paid $40 for an individual to look at my car for 5 minutes and give it an incorrect diagnosis. In Summary: I wouldn't trust this spot to diagnose your car or do any work on it. At first, I thought I might be a good spot for a quick fix, but now I plan on never returning here again. read more

I took my car there, hoping to get my freon recharged per the coupon they offered. It took them three hours to do so, and then I was told that the entire A/C compressor needed to be replaced. So: this means they refilled my freon for a broken A/C unit. The invoice said "per customer request", blaming me that they wasted both my time and money on something that's no good to me. I'm not a mechanic, and therefore did not know the compressor was broken. They could have let me know that the operation would be worthless, and a waste of money since it'd require a replacement to get ANY cold air. They were happy to offer to fix the problem for $1500-2000 after they wasted $110 on the freon. Do yourself a favor and head to Murray Auto Care, literally two doors to the left, past McDonalds and Minh and Kelvin will shoot you straight and won't waste your time or money. read more

Do not go here even if it's your only option !!! I've gone to the one in Kearns for my oil changes and that was a good experience. I came to this location as it was close to my doctors appointment. Let them know my check engine light was on and wanted to see what was wrong with it. They said it was no change for the diagnostic which I was fine with obviously. They did the test, came out and said we got a few codes back and that they needed to do a smoke test. (I trusted them with no question as I've not had any issues with the other location.) The man who seemed to be the manager said it would be $70 to do the test and that he was quite positive the total cost of service wouldn't be more than $100. So I figured easy fix. Waited close to an hour and he told me it would be $465 dollars to fix the problem. A gas cap and a purge solenoid. WOW!! for a gas cap and a solenoid? With labor? I was more surprised that it went from $100 to $465 in a matter of an hour. First off if you Aren't sure don't quote it and second.. well that part is coming. I declined the service and started looking around. Called a few places and went to one close to home. Arrived, was greeted and helped immediately. They scanned the car and got codes, tightened the gas cap, rescanned it and my car was good to go. So I payed $70 to a place who wanted my money and didn't care whether my car was fixed or not and because I'm a woman they thought I'd be stupid enough to pay the almost $500. No I do not recommended this place because they don't care! They just want to benefit! The customer service was horrible & the lies were worse! Please make sure to ask questions people. I had gotten a Groupon code and then the day before I went I called and the Lady told me that they don't take appointments and as long as I get there before five they'll be able to assist me so I got there at 4:50 the next day and the lady was like oh I don't know if I am going to be able to service you because we're backed up. Then I told her I was the one that called yesterday. Then the girl said I think I can squeeze you in and then a couple came in with two cars that needed oil change and more service and she took them in in a heartbeat, and then made the comment of yeah don't worry the team is going to leave when the work is done. And then she redeemed my Groupon when I checked in and then when they were done changing my oil and I was trying to pay she said that I went to the wrong location and the Groupon was for a different location so she couldn't accept it and gave me such a hard time and was interrupting me when I was trying to talk and I just left and then I spoke to Groupon a few minutes ago and they said that it was valid for that location. was so freaking mad because she made me pay again. CANNOT RECOMMEND, SADLY! BTW, I almost never leave negative reviews! $3000 dollars, after replacing almost everything, car still doesn't start UNLESS you start or jump it everyday, or drive it a long way everyday, which they apparently believe is normal. As if every single person, no matter age, type of job, etc. is going to go outside every single day all seasons, deep snow, freezing rain, just to start the car "for a second" so that it will continue to start. SOMETHING IS DRAINING THE BATTERY WITHIN 24 HOURS, they were not able to find any solution to this, but just kept making me replace more big-ticket items like an Altinator that I was told twice, and which I told them, WAS WORKING FINE (AAA checked it every time I towed it there which was quite a few times). After $3000 I still have an unusable car. At least they should try to find the wires, perhaps the alarm (someone mentioned), FIND WHAT IS DRAINING DOWN THE BATTERY WITHIN 24 HOURS 100% OF THE TIME. They told me clearly, it will start ONLY if you start/use it every day! I cannot use the car because I only drive a couple of times a week, which I clearly explained, and I have a disability that prevents me from getting dressed every single day to go out to catch the dead battery before it goes all the way dead. THEY LACK INTEGRITY. They should have found the reason the battery isn't holding a charge, especially after $3000 worth of replacing things that likely didn't even need replacing. (For instance, why not replace the battery cables, when exchanging the 1st battery for the 2nd?) It's obviously a wire or something simple since now everything is replaced in the vehicle. I would NOT be writing a negative review had they just had a desire to make the car start correctly after paying them so freaking much money. SO SAD TOO BAD is apparently fine for customers whose car problems go beyond the simple. I'm sure they are fine for oil changes and the like, but NOW I have an appointment with the dealership to fix the car so I can use it. Then what? Small claims court all because they refused to go the distance? THIS IS PATHETIC, BAD, SOUR, AND VERY BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE. I cannot recommend them. My honest review for this company. I would say PLEASE STAY AWAY. My car broke down a few blocks from the shop. I had the car towed to the Precision after talking with the front desk lady. The place seemed to be a good place to leave my car. I was told it was going to be 7 days for the car to be fixed. 7 days went by with no response from the company. After the 9th day, I called to see what was going on with my car. They told me that it wasn't going to be completed for another 7 days. It was frustrating, but what could I do? NOTHING. Seven days went by and I got a phone call saying they had. A mechanic quit yesterday, so it's going to be another 7 days and i was going to get a NICE DISCOUNT. At that point, it was getting ridiculous. It's been 16 days without my car. On the 20th day, I got a call that my car had been repaired. I was excited because of the length of which they have and my car. I go up to pay and the lady goes up and says the SAME PRICES from the beginning. 2,250. I then said, hey i thought there was going to be a discount. She then gives 200 dollars off. SO 8 percent of the bill for going over 13 days. It was annoying but I just let it be because my car was fixed and they said they had fixed my cigarette lighters. I pay and then go out to my car. To my surprise, my check engine light was still on and my cigarette lighter. Still don't work. I went on to complain and they treated me with zero respect that i was in the wrong to be upset about the whole situation and it was like we gave you more than a reasonable discount. 8 percent of the bill. I was then told they have to work on the vehicle some more to fix it. So, in the end, I turned my car in on the 8th of Sept. and got my car back on the 13th of Oct. With my car working, 1/4 of my gas is gone and my cigarette lighters. Still not working. So a 7-day job took over a month and they didn't even complete the whole job. Also, I talked to the owner about the situation and he said to me," it looks like you need to learn patience. Just a disrespectful guy and cares zero about the customers. Like I said from the start. PLEASE STAY AWAY. I wish I had read some of the reviews before I let them take my car. Lesson learned. The excuse for the regional manager to call you does nothing. Just a call saying I'm sorry. I saw a deal on their website that I wanted more info on, so I called in. The person who answered the phone, very welcoming and answered my questions. They took me in 15 minutes after the phone call! I was going to different auto shops to get estimates for my brakes. Walked in and told them I was the person who just called and they got my car in gave me an estimate and out in less than hour. I took my car in for an oil change and emissions check and everything went smoothly with the oil change. Then the worker who said she just got trained on doing emissions left the car on while doing which caused the car to die. When you have to jump a car during emissions it makes the test not work anymore which makes you have to wait a day. She laughed at her mistake and told me to come back Saturday or Monday. Already such an inconvenience. Then I come back Monday and they told me it wouldn't read the results because I didn't drive the car 60 miles. How was I supposed to know I had to drive the car 60 miles? How come no one informed me of this? Another HUGE inconvenience. I bring the car back Tuesday for the THIRD time and she tells me to drive 15 minutes down the street to the other store because no one was there to do emissions after they told me the day before I could bring it in the morning. First concern was they wouldn't pass me because my ball joints need to be replaced and the job would be $600+. Therefore I didn't pass safety. Which....whatever. I didn't get the ball joints fixed because I wanted to look around at other places to see how much they would quote me. The day after I got the work done, my car starts beeping saying "oil full". I was a little concerned and I asked my uncle (who is a mechanic) to take a look. Turns out they filled my oil WAY beyond the limit, therefore running the risk of my engine exploding. So, we drain some oil to lower the levels and the oil comes out BLACK. Turns out, they didn't replace the oil, they topped it off. WAY off. This is almost laughable. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. I took my car in for a simple coolant leak and Shane, the mechanic, spent 2 hours looking on his computer trying to figure out how to fix it. Finally after spending almost $400, they "fixed it", the next day I drove about 20 miles and my coolant went EVERYWHERE and there was smoke and steam. I had to get a tow truck to come get it because they didn't clamp one of the hoses. I took it back and they were very rude and worked on it again, only refunded me $130. I drove it the next day, and now suddenly my power windows are inoperable. DON'T GO HERE!! They don't know what they're doing. Where do I begin? Everytime I go to this place, they have a new manager who's just gotten less and less knowlegable. The biggest reason I was going there was because of how close it was to my house, but now I'm done with them. Th last time I went the manager seemed very unfriendly and unwilling to help me, they don't even get there lot plowed. But last time I went they gave an "inspection test" that they gave to me. When looking at the test they missed all the things that I know are messed up my car, and the things that they did put on the paper were just "recommended services at that interval". And they of course we're trying to sell me on things that I had already got from them only a couple of months earlier, but when I confronted the manager at the counter he didn't know anything about the "inspection" and had to talk to his mechanics. When I got to work I called them. Someone came to my work to check it out. Oops! They forgot to put oil back in my car. All I wanted was an oil change and they screwed that up. $21.95 for a simple oil change sounds pretty good. So I figure that with tax the bill should be a bit under $24, but then they decided to charge me $26.66! I asked why, and apparently there's a mandatory "shop fee" for disposal of oil, which we've never been charged before. But there is no sign that tells about this mandatory fee. I'd be happy to pay $26.66 for the oil change, but please tell me first about any "fees." To not state the true price is deceptive. After I raised a stink, they agreed to give me a $5 discount next time I go, but I'm not sure I'll go back. I've been bringing my cars here for the last few years because they would periodically offer extremely cheap oil changes. Oil changes were all I ever did, but recently my wife and daughter brought their cars together for some maintenance. My wife had the transmission fluid changed and my daughter's car had tie rods replaced. Mikey the mechanic was super helpful and told my wife the check engine light might come on after the flush and to bring it back if it did. Sure enough later that day the check engine light came on. I personally took it back to them, and after about 10 minutes gave me back the car, no charge. Both Mikey and the manager seemed genuinely interested in helping me and educating me on how to service my cars. They offered additional suggestions for repairs, but were not the least bit pushy. I've seen different employees there over the years, but this group of guys have customer service figured out. read more

I live in Utah county now and still make the drive out because the oil changes are great and the prices. Well this afternoon around noon I called to see when I could come in and they said they weren't busy and as long as I get there before 4:45 because they close at 5. I arrived at 4 and went in to see how long the wait was. The guy that was at the front desk told me they were done for the day. I explained that the person answering the phone should have said that. He said he was the only one who answers the phone (after I heard him telling another customer he personally drove to get his spark plugs..oh okay who answered the phone then???). This guy was legit so rude it's disgusting. I would never treat a customer that way and a damn loyal one at that. Don't waste your time here.
