I wanted to get my eyebrows done, and this spot was in a convenient area. Plenty of parking in this shopping complex as well. I came during the last hour before they closed and I was lucky no one was ahead of me. Usually is my go to this time around the lady was rushing quite rude and snappy. I tried putting my hands up as she was threading my face because my "Ow" wasn't enough. I go home and get contact dermatitis which i've never had and now have bumps all over my face. She didn't offer the aloe gel or anything and barely spoke when I tried to start a conversation. I paid over $50 for the worst my skin has ever looked. Lost a year long customer this studio does not care about you and funny enough raised their prices yet their attitudes are very much worse now. I've gone here a long time and had always liked it. But I got a different lady thats somewhat newer and....WOW my brows are butchered. Completely uneven and not symmetrical at all. Entirely different shaping on each side...so bad. Then she applied the tint and mad it all worse. I'm so embarrassed to have to go in public like this. She comes off as rude the entire time as well so it's generally not comfortable having her. The kicker is this woman never asked me once what I wanted, never handed me a mirror, or asked if I was happy. I got up a couple times to evaluate the tint and was using my phone to look at my brows, I tried to give every indication something was wrong without actually saying it. The woman didn't care or didn't notice. Unfortunately you cannot pick who does your brows as they just alternate customers so I will not be coming back. I was too scared to come here to do my eyebrows because of the reviews, so I just did the upper lip. Because of that, I didn't have to deal with any misalignment. I don't know if it was because of the reviews, but I feel like she may have hovered to see if I was leaving her a tip. But other than just fear, I had a pleasant time. I've been by to have my eyebrows threaded at this location recently hoping my second time would be better and it was worse. It's the same lady wearing a headscarf . She is so rude and has absolutely no customer service and does a horrible job threading at that. If you want your eyebrows uneven with small scratches on your eyebrows that start bleeding a little (that she tries to cover up with Aloe) go ahead and stop in. I would rate 0 stars if I could . UPDATE: Right after posting this I located a salon called Eyebrow Threading by Farida (Thomas and 40th) that is trained in a technique which allows for them to wear a mask and not put the thread in their mouth AT ALL! They are super friendly and it was the best threading I'd ever had. I've been a client of Preety for a while, NEVER again! Stay safe and go see them instead. Beware - she refuses to wear her mask while threading you. When I asked if she would, she removed it completely and said no - while she was standing and breathing over me. I told her it made me uncomfortable and her response was that I should have known that she would not wear it and then told me to leave - after she'd already started the process. I'll be reporting to the BBB. This is how COVID gets spread. My family is from the Middle East, and I know it is completely possible to do this while keeping a mask on. Uma did such an amazing job evening out my eyebrows! She was kind, efficient, and did NOT hurt my skin or make it bleed. Sometimes threading salons are working so quick or are too harsh-- not Uma. She was gentle yet very precise!!! Overall the salon was incredibly clean and it was evident that their clients love it here. They were so sweet to everyone. I've been on search for a new threading salon as I recently moved here from SoFl and I'm so happy I stumbled upon this place! I luckily didn't have to wait to get them done which was awesome, once I entered I was instantly greeted and asked what service I wanted. (I don't remember her name) but she was amazing, did my eyebrows in like 5mins and I wasn't red after! I have super sensitive skin so anytime I thread of wax I always get red but she was so gentle it didn't feel a thing. I've gone to this place pretty often. I went last Friday and the new lady (sorta older than the other) was terrible. I could tell that she was not doing much but I also have been plucking along the way so I thought maybe I'm not that bad. Well I came home and she literally took NOTHING out. So the eyebrow threading quality is really good here but the customer service is not great. Preety uses a service called Fivestars for discounts and text messages. somehow Fivestars put me at a location of Preety I have never visited and Preety told me they would honor the discount "this one time" and told me to figure it out with Fivestars to get the Indian School Location listed as my preferred location. I work in customer service and never in my life would I tell my customer to figure it out when the issue is with my vendor. That's unacceptable. This would be for Preety to troubleshoot not me. Horrible customer service. Went in for a light clean up came out with uneven thin brows. The lady said I had no brows to work with and I've been coming here for 4 years. Zero concept of customer service. Took so many hairs she didn't have to touch out of my arch. I made a scene at the store to show a lesson and they did not give a flying damn about my complaint. Preety is one of only a handful of places that does threading within a 15 minute drive from where I live, work and play. It's a tiny salon with 3 chairs and usually 1-2 women threading at any given time. You walk in, add your name to a written list, and then sit down and wait for your turn. Preety is no frills, but they do a solid job... and it's super affordable. I highly recommend going during a weekday vs. weekend as the wait will likely be shorter that way. Unfortunately, I don't believe you can call ahead to get your name on the list ahead of time, as I've called before to check on wait time and they've said "come on in" and then the wait is long by the time I arrive. I normally go to the location in Scottsdale but when I approached the building I learned they were permanently closed. I was super bummed because they did great threading there! There was a posting on the window stating they moved so I decided to try out the location in Phoenix and boy did I regret it! There was only 1 threader in there at the time of my arrival. I pacifically stated how I wanted my eyebrows to look. I give 2 stars because the lady was fast and professional but I didn't like her quality of work. I got my brows and chin threaded and when I looked in the mirror my brows were uneven. She said she just cleaned them up and was open to fixing them but I honestly didn't want her to touch them again because I was afraid she would make them look worse. I am new to Arizona and I found this salon on Google. I have been here several times. I have had good experiences and 3 not so good. There is a younger woman that always does EXACTLY what I ask. The 3 times I have allowed the older woman that is there to do my brows she has made them thin and cut the ends short. This last time I really didn't want her to do them because I had finally grown them out with the help of the younger woman. My daughter was graduating so I went and she was the one that helped me. I've been here several times to have my lip threaded. On almost every visit the threader tries to talk me into having my eyebrows threaded as well. I pe prefer to have them waxed and go to Rachel at Boss Esthetics. Anyway, EVERY SINGLE TIME I thank her and decline her offer on threading. I find myself explaining why I prefer waxing and she always, ALWAYS wags her finger at me and tells me its bad. It's rude and annoying. I'm a grown ass woman. I went to Preety Threading when it was not at all busy, but for some reason the lady who was doing my eyebrows was in such a hurry to get me out. As someone who gets their eyebrows threaded regularly, I have never felt as much pain as I did when she was threading, because she did it so harshly. Now don't get me wrong, I know that they are typically quick at doing their job, but this lady didn't even offer me lotion or brush my hairs off my face! Once I got in my car and actually had time to examine my brows, I noticed there was still a bunch of hair left. I went back in and she told me it was because my nails were covering my hair and I needed to hold my brows differently. As the professional, shouldn't that have been something you told me at the beginning? She was mad when I didn't leave a tip and I'm glad I didn't.
