I inherited some gold and silver bars -- 99.99% pure and .999 pure -- respectively. I was told that they would only pay 90% of current market prices. Then I was told that the company that melts the metals down has to get paid. I was incredulous. Why melt down (essentially) pure gold and pure silver? All of the bars were wrapped in heavy see through plastic. Done of the bars were tarnished or scratched. All of the bars were pristine. read more

Very pleased with my interactions here, as service was honest, friendly and fair. I had a tangle of chains and multiple pieces that had no sentimental value to me. Some pieces were mismatched (earrings) and some chains were untangled but way too short for me now (15/16"). Very easy to find in a nice part of town. I went to sell my wedding bands and although was offered a fair price it wasn't as good as I thought I could get elsewhere. The owner was nice enough but $185 for $2,000 rings was hardly what I was hoping for. I put the good on eBay and have already sold them.
