I didn't have an appointment, so when I knocked on the business door, Brian was already with a customer. He greeted me, asked if I minded waiting 15 minutes and put me in the conference room and offered me water. He didn't make me wait any longer than he had told me and we sat down and I showed him the necklace I had to sell. He placed it on the scale and pulled up his pricing program in the computer. He told me what karat he thought the necklace was, guessing it was 22k gold or over, and even told me he thought it was from China or Taiwan, which he was correct in both assumptions. After he told he what he thought the necklace was worth, he did his acid test to verify and came up with an offer which I accepted. Besides being an intelligent and interesting person to talk to, the entire process was completely transparent.
