This company is intentionally defrauding patients! I've been trying to get the Area Manager at Preferred Homecare, Jodie Johnson 702-951-6900 Opt#8 Ext#61544, to send me patient ownership letter promised for the Hospital Bed my PCP prescribed. My 13 payment agreement was met in April 2026, and verified by my insurance, who Ms. Johnson even ignores their calls. This so called Area Manager, Jodie Johnson has been telling me since March, my account was being changed to "patient ownership" and would receive a letter shortly advising as such. Now repeated calls and messages and 3 months later, nothing! If you read all the negative reviews online for "Preferred Homecare," (see Google reviews, Yelp reviews, BBB complaints being over 1000 in 3 years plus a $24million lawsuit in 2024 for Insurance Fraud! Look them up at NV BBB. It's all there. They are not even accredited but people are still filing fraudulent billing complaints! This company is defrauding not only the disabled, but senior citizens as well, even to the point of referring paid rentals like mine to Collection Agencies! Not honoring rental/ownership agreement and being lied to by the Las Vegas Area Manager, Jodi Johnson 702-951-6900 opt8 ext#61544, is unacceptable. They have now refaxed it 3 times and we are still being told the same thing. He has been on his bio machine for over a decade and they will not let him order the replacement items. My Plumonary doctor entered a referral on 3/17/2025 for oxygen and an overnight test. I had received a text stating it was processing the very next day. Fast forward to 3/31/2025 I called and the woman I spoke with could not find the order, said she had to verify my insurance and finally after 20 minutes, let me know it would be delivered on 3/31-never arrived. She transferred me to another person, Michelle, and she found the order for my test - IN THE PORTAL. She said she would forward so the test should arrive in 3-5 days. Today I called back and the gentleman I spoke with said he would find out why it was not delivered yesterday. He said he would call back in a few minutes and it has been an hour. Preferred Homecare should check their portal regularly so this doesn't happen. I would NOT recommend this company BUT you have to use your insurance providers. So I sit and wait for oxygen that is three weeks overdue. read more

Currently, this is the ONLY "in-network" provider with my current health insurance for the specific type of durable medical equipment that I need... in the entire city of Las Vegas. Long story short, after over four(4) months of waiting, I eventually purchased my durable medical equipment with a DIFFERENT local provider ("out of network"), and then I submitted receipts to my health insurance company. After over five(5) months from the initial submission of a durable medical equipment prescription to this company and weeks after getting a machine on my own (from a different local D.M.E. company) ...THEN a rep from this company calls me (first time ever calling me BTW; before this, I always had to call to find out the status of my 'file'). The rep I spoke to this time informed me that they were now able to offer me durable medical equipment. I told her I did not need nor want the equipment they were offering; because by this time I already had the equipment I needed (purchased from a different local company). She again verified with me verbally over the phone that I did not want the equipment. I told her again 'No, I do not want their equipment because over four months had lapsed and during that time no one from their company ever reached out to contact me, so I purchased the equipment with a different local DME company and submitted receipts to my health insurance'. I have no way of knowing who is truly at fault for the lengthy delays. It could have been both my insurance and this company, or it could be one or the other. I may never know the truth about this whole situation. My contact with my health insurance company has always been professional and helpful. The representatives with my health insurance company seem to always try their best to help with any questions and needs I may have when I contact them. However, my contact with this company came to an abrupt end, when the representative [from this business] hung up on me while I was talking in mid-sentence. This is the "long story short" version. The lady who helped me with my new CPAP machine & accessories & mask spoke with me for half an hour, explained everything in simple details, and made me feel confident. I was at Optum Urgent Care last Friday the 21st of February. I was diagnosed with Acute Bronchitis on top of my already existing chronic disease pulmonary fibrous. The care givers at Optum were excellent but referred me to receive a Nebulizer to help me breathe. It is now Wednesday the 26th of February. I have not heard any thing from them. After calling at least 11 times I finally got a hold of some guy Dennis who tells me he has been out. Meanwhile I have been suffering with trying to breathe let alone all the others that have been trying to get a hold of this guy and Preferred Homecare. I would highly recommend to go to another supplier. They are just dreadful. read more

This company's employees cannot deliver on any of their commitments to their customers without making errors on orders and delivery times. They like to blame their dispatchers and delivery drivers which they say is a separate vendor so they won't have to assume any responsibility for the poor service. So, I just got off the phone with a very nice gentleman at Inogen and they have a rental option if you can't afford to purchase. He is going to check into my insurance and get back to me. Cross your fingers and go to their website like I did and sign up for info. He called me right away and didn't pressure me at all during our 40 minute call. I am caregiver to my 78 year old sister who has had a strokes, a broken femur, rheumatoid arthritis, scoliosis, and a hip replacement and dementia. In July she fell and ended up with a laceration on the back of her head. My sister walks with the help of a walker or wheelchair. As I said she fell in July so her doctor ordered her a wheelchair and a medical bed because her feet are so unstable from arthritis that she can't get good traction and she slide when trying to get in and out of bed because the bed we have can't be adjusted. So two days after she fell the first time in July she fell again trying to get in bed and hit her head on the night stand. The referral for the wheelchair and bed was sent over to Perferred Homecare on 7/28. I heard nothing so on 8/6 I called PH to find out what the delivery status was. Was told by Dominic that they only had a referral for the wheelchair. I called UMC referral department back and told them what PH said. They sent the referral for the bed back over to PH again on 8/7. Again I heard nothing but they did deliver the wheelchair. Once again I called on 8/11 to find out the status of the delivery Kelley told me once again that they had no referral. Called them twice more spoke to C.C. then Leslie again was told no referral even though UMC has confirmation that they sent it over not once but twice and pls understand, after I speak with PH I immediately call UMC referral department and speak with them. Here we are on 8/26 and again today I call inquiring about the referral for the medical bed, Kelley informed me that still there is no referral so I hungup and called UMC referral office. Spoke with Vanessa who took notes and promised to pass the info on to the case manager. A few hours later I received a call from Lorraine from the referral department who told me that she had put in a call and was awaiting for a call back from Myra within an hour. Myra didn't call her back, so Lorraine called back to PH and Dominic answered and told Lorraine that the referral was on Myra's desk and apparently had been for a while and that they hadn't fulfilled the referral because they needed to know what type of bed and why did my sister need the bed. Once again please understand the referral was sent over almost a month ago which included 38 pages and starting on page 21 was all my sister's conditions and medical records. But still they didn't, hadn't and wasn't going to fulfill the order nor call the doctor's office, referral office or myself to inform us of any problems. If I could give this company a minus star, they would get a hundred minus one's. This is the most horrible place that I have ever dealt with or heard of. If my sister falls again, I am prepared to pursue a lawsuit against them. Back in 2018 when I had to get a wheelchair from PH for her we had issues with them saying they didn't get that referral. Came to the point that I even had to go out myself and pickup the wheelchair. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to ever deal with them again but because her insurance UHC and UMC uses them for medical equipment, we had too. I'm reporting them to every website possible. Their delivery and customer service support is a challenge. The two delivers or pick-up I had from this company were late..one time they were 3 days late. On that occasion they never called to reschedule and when I attempted to contact them i could not get through to a local representative and the national representative said there was nothing they could do to help me.
