Keep searching, don't try these guys! I was referred to them by some dealerships, and took my Mercedes and Porsche in at the same time. He broke trim on the mercedes, to the tune of 250+ dollars, and did a poor job on the porsche, trying to cover it up with a MARKER! The gave pathetic reasons for their screw-ups and did not make anything right. Look for a shop with a little more integrity. read more

The good: They did a great job on the installation and it is an excellent product. They did show me a car tinted and I selected the tint darkness based on the look on the car in the daytime. The areas where improvement is needed: I felt a bit rushed into choosing the tint darkness and especially afterwards, I felt as though i did not truly have a detailed understanding all of my options. They also did not give me any idea of what would happen if i wasn't satisfied with the product/service after install. (I'll admit part of it was on me as i should have asked). They told me if my night vision was good, these tint levels would be fine. That ended up not being the case. After the install my wife and I took it out and while the daytime driving is perfect, at night, the front windows were so dark they were unsafe. I called and asked what they could do for me and they said they could remove and re-install the fronts at a lighter tint for $145 instead of $165. I spoke with the owner and we had a good conversation but I am still a bit disappointed in the customer service post-install. I was willing to compromise but $20 off is not much of a meet in the middle. I wish they had spent more up-front time with me to help understand the levels of tint darkness. I had no idea how dark it would be at night. Recommendations: I would recommend having a more comprehensive setup/simulation/visuals to allow people to see/experience the variety of tint darknesses (in day and night conditions) they offer before the customer chooses a product and darkness and before they install or at least have a more comprehensive discussion to set expectations appropriately. This should include what the risks are and consequences if the customer is unhappy with the tint darkness in day and/or night driving. Another option would be to do something substantial to make it right for the unsatisfied customer especially when the only complaint is unsafe night driving conditions. This is a product/service where the customer cannot try before they buy so this places all of the risk on the customer. Therefore, significant up-front discussion/visuals/graphics/simulation/etc... should be used to reduce some of the risk on the customer. Do everything you can up-front before the customer spends significant money to ensure you'll have a fully satisfied customer after they spend significant money. Conclusion: The instalI was great and the product is excellent. The daytime driving is excellent. The up front unknowns and being met with very little help to fix my nighttime unsafe driving condition were disappointing. I spent $590 on the entire car and they want to charge me another $145 to redo my front windows. I do not feel this is "making it right" for the customer. I would be happy to meet in the middle to make it right and that would restore my full trust in their business. My reason for posting this is to help future customers understand the risks they incur with a product/service like this and to help the business/customer service improve. read more

I love my tint! They did a great job! I even have it on the front window which I've already got a ticket for lol so I'll be going back to get it removed and then re-applied (its vicious cycle). I have been getting all my cars tinted through here. Last Saturday I had an appointment at 9am to get my 2012 Optima tinted. They told me they would have it for a block of 4 hours. The people there explained the different types of tint and what they do. I was in and out in 10 minutes and they called me back and hour and a half later telling me my car was done. Back in December , my dad had purchased a gift certificate to get the front windows of my Silverado tinted. I booked an appointment to get it done, however was hospitalized the day i was supposed to come in. After all that chaos i put the cert with paper work which is somewhere in my parents house. Here it is about to be June and i still haven't got my windows tinted. So i called up preferred window tinting and explained my situation. They in turn explained to me without the cert i would not be able to get my windows tinted .... Understandable.... But then , my luck, the manager called up the owner Todd and explained my situation . They were able to find my dads info , add a note to the receipt and i was able to get my windows tinted after all. Todd the owner, is exceptionally nice and cares about customer service for sure! The office manager, cant remember her name is the sweetest gal ive ever met ! Oh and another thing that impressed me. While i was sitting in the office waiting for my truck to get done one of the workers came in with money in his hand and gave it to the office manager and told her that the owner of the vehicle left it loosely in the car maybe lost it near the seat.... Stopped to get an estimate today around 11:30 and waited in the lobby for 8 minutes without anybody helping me. Not sure if anybody was actually working because I was the only one in the lobby. I even opened and closed the door which set off an audible noise but still nobody came. On the plus side, I was able to watch "Say Yes to the Dress" which was on in the lobby. Spectacular performance! Recently got a new car and realized that our tinting (by Preferred) on our old car is TWENTY ONE years old!! The old car is black, with black interior, and has been parked in the desert sun every day for the past 21 years. The car has never been garaged. The tinting is still flawless, and the interior of the car is immaculate (no doubt due to the tinting). No sun damage at all. If I recall correctly, we had a bit of bubbling with one window shortly after installation, but Preferred fixed it immediately to our satisfaction. After 21 years, we don't have a single instance of peeling, bubbling, or distortion. Not sure if they still use the same product after all these years, but if they do, it sure is a keeper. read more

This is my 4th new car I have taken to Preferred for window tinting. They provide a great product and exceptional workmanship. I've never had reason to question their business ethic and had my respect for them reinforced today. Took my new Honda in for tinting and when I went to pick it up the owner wanted to show me a "minor mishap". In the course of application there was a minor, unnoticeable to me, blistering of the paint next to the rear deck window. They removed the panel, sent it to the body shop for repair and will come to my home to reinstall the part. BEWARE!! I have had 11 cars tinted here over the last 10 years. I have sent dozens of friends to them for window tinting. I always believed that the lifetime warranty was good, until I needed it. Recently the driver and passenger front windows started peeling off in little chunks. So I stopped by to make an appointment to have it repaired. The girl in the office was downright rude. She told me the chips were caused by the seatbelt hitting the window. She came outside to look at the window after she already pre determined the cause. Seems pretty unreasonable that the seatbelt would hit the top of the window. When I showed her she did not seem to care. She had obviously use this excuse countless times with other customers. She told me I was welcome to talk to the owner who is only available from 12:00 to 1:00 pm Monday through Friday. I used to believe that paying a higher price for their window tint was worth it because of their lifetime warranty. Well BEWARE, the warranty is a lie. Less then 12 month old tint is being replaced tomorrow at their competitor and I will no longer be a customer. The girl in the office has no idea how to listen or respond to customer service needs. Why loose a good customer over a simple repair? They just must not need customers. read more
