Both my spouse and I had our cars done on the same day. They were very busy and she squeezed his in -although his appointment was for the following morning. What made this experience stand out was the customer service at the front desk and the technicians quality of work. There was a problem with the visor tint which came out looking uneven/ lopsided on our civic. We called back and it was determined it was the the car manufacturer's fault and not Preferred Window Tinting. They used some computer software to customize the correction and fixed it...on the house! They didn't charge to make it look right! Talk about customer satisfaction! Staff was professional and helpful, also prior to my appointment over the phone was a gentlemen who answered my questions thoroughly before giving me an appointment for my car they also allow you to choose your appointment when it is convenient for you to come in, upon arrival to appointment they greet you when entering the door then help you decide what shade of tint you want, the lady I spoke to at the front desk was very helpful and helped us decide which shade would be appropriate for our concerns and what is the best value for our needs, she recommended having the lightest newest ceramic tint, I at first had reservations about this lightness of tint due to concerns I had with previous tints on other cars that were tinted at other shops not Preferred and not Llumar brand tint, I can now say I am very happy with the color choice and blocks 35% of the sun and UVB rays and kept the car cooler on the ride back home from Preferred which was about 4:30pm when I picked up the car I also could use my air conditioner on a lower setting which is the only way you can get cooling for four days which they require you not using your windows for while the ceramic is newly applied, so it will save gas and other things while lowering the temperature in the car. The only complaint I have with Preferred was that I noticed while waiting for my car to be inspected was that some employees specifically the installers in the back of the front desk where they do the installing and one salesman was wearing his mask below the nose. All in all I am very happy with the work and professionality of Preferred Tinting. They also left some residue and finger prints on my nice shiny freshly washed car when I picked it up, but I forgave them for that part as I wash my car frequently. read more

Todd and company are a group of professionals that get the job done and are all about customer service. I walked in with my F250 and got 35%tint all the way around with the heat reduction. It really helps having that quality of tint on a vehicle that eliminates the heat as well as making it easier on the eyes. The back windows came out smudged and he re did them at no cost. This guy stands behind his product as well as the craftsmanship that goes with it. He also did my wife's explorer and there were no boogers or smudges on the tint. I was quoted a price of 550.00 by the guy who answered and set the appointment as I was a returning customer. They tinted my house windows and one vehicle. However, the girl behind the counter refused to honor the quote. She charged me 600.00. I advised her I got a quote for 550 and she refused to honor it. I have 1 more vehicle to be tinted. I will not be returning. I don't like the bait and switch pricing. Received call from owner upset regarding my review. She stated pricing is standard and in her appointment book it was written 225. She stated she wished I had not gotten the work done. I am sure she meant well. She was worried about any further warranty work that maybe needed. She feels it wasn't a bait and switch and I do. So we must agree to disagree. I appreciate the call but am unsure if it help or made situation worse. I was told repeat customers only get 10.00 off with proof of purchase. We've taken several nice cars here, 2 nice vehicles and a supercar. They do great work and their tint definitely blocks sun and heat. We've only brought 1/3 cars back for a tint repair after the tint cured. We've received great care, up until recently. I brought in an old Nissan project car which I needed tint on. I was turned away understandably as there was existing old tint on the car and the lady expressed to me they don't want their workers working in the heat with chemicals. The guy suggested I bring in the vehicle for a quote at some point and I was told to come back in October. I certainly would have waited for their service if I could, but I needed tint to block the summer heat. The lady gave me a card to instead get the window replaced which is unnecessary for my applications for this car, but helpful if I was actually concerned about the defrosters. She said replacing the window might end up being cheaper. After getting the tint removed elsewhere and bringing it back about a week later, the guy rudely "greets" me to see what I wanted while he was helping other customers. I let him know I wanted a quote and he said "on that?". He does a quick uncaring walk around of the car. He goes on to be very negative and lets me know the defroster lines are "destroyed," he walks me back in and lets me know my options. He tells me a handful of other rude things on the car seeming completely astonished at the state of the windows. He talks to me in a tone as if I was arguing with him, but he was really arguing with himself. I think he expected me to be argumentative. I literally said 3 full sentences during this entire visit. He told me he could get sued if the workers worked in the aforementioned conditions (Again, I understand, just give me a recommendation to someone else who can take the remaining tint off...but the suing part is none of my business). He told me it would be $100 to remove tint and $200 for tint (though they can't remove the tint until October...). Anyway, he vaguely let me know of Tint Time around the corner since it is a "one-man-shop." I didn't understand what he meant (I didn't know if that was a shop name). I asked him further what is the one man shop he is speaking of. After asking another question, he finally told me where it was after I expressed I understand his people cant work with heat/chemicals and I just needed to know where to go now. I won't be back with any of my nice cars, or my crappy ones. Maybe it was a bad day for him, but wow. I think if his tone was a bit different, I wouldn't have been so shocked. I ended up getting tint remnants removed and installed for a better price at my new tint shop. read more

I used Preferred Window Tinting on my last car in 2008. The tint is still doing great. So when I purchased my new car I knew I would get the best service for a great price from them again. I came in late Thursday to see when I could get an appointment, I was very happy when they said I could bring it back the next day and it would be just two hours. They showed me some different tint options and said we could go over more when I come in. I came in for my appointment and was helped out by their office lady who not only was VERY helpful she had me and my daughter laughing. A review is long overdue for this AWESOME place of business. I've had 3 vehicles tinted at this place. These guys know what they are doing. I chose the Formula One on all of my vehicles. They are very efficient and usually had my vehicles in and out in 2 hours or less (with a scheduled appointment). My latest vehicle tinted was a 2017 Ram 2500. As always the tint looked awesome, did an outstanding job of reflecting heat, and helped the a/c to not work too hard. As per their suggestion, I didn't activate any windows for a full 72 hours. Once I passed that time, I opened my windows to see how the edges looked. They all looked great, except the small sliding back window. I took the truck in that afternoon after work, and they took care of it in minimal time. Now that is dedication to their customers and is also the reason why I will only go to Preferred for my vehicle tint needs. Keep up the great work! I will be bringing in my fourth vehicle soon enough to get the same tint treatment done. Possibly with the Stratos tint line! I would just like to add, for those claiming the "lady" in the front is rude. Susan is not even close to being a rude person. She was always helpful when I was there. I am pretty good at reading people and Susan is the type I see that will not allow anyone to talk down to her. If you talk to her with respect, she returns it tenfold. You want to be a jerk to her, well be forewarned, you will not win! My three visits to Preferred were all very relaxed and she was great and friendly to those that chose to stay and wait for their cars. I recently took my brand new car to them and had my window tint done. The staff were helpful in explaining the differences between just the basic and ceramic tint. I ended up having the ceramic tint put on because to me it's important to keep as much heat out as possible. Pros: The tint looks great! There are no issues such as the normal bubbling when first installed. I took my car in at 10:30 and explained that I had to go to work at 1:30; they ended up getting my car done around and hour and some change (I thought that was awesome). It is a little pricey but I do believe you pay for what you get, so that was really important to me since I plan on keeping my car for a long time. Cons: Just wished they could have wiped off their over spray of whatever they use to install tint off my brand new interior and stereo. Other than that I am pleased with the work! read more

I've been to this place 3 times now for 3 different cars, and I have to say I'm not sure I will go back for a 4th time. I have been happy with the work and quality of product (other than the towel and squirt bottle left in my backseat) ... but I'm not sure this place is worth the environment created by the employees. There was a lot of yelling when I was in the office signing papers and then again when I came back to pick up my car, and I remember this happening on my other visits. One of the employees asked for my keys before I even sat down to look at what I was getting. He didn't ask what car I had and when I tried to ask him if he knew he kept walking through the front door without saying anything. Honestly, I get that I'm there for a service and product and I really don't need to be catered to, but truthfully, "thank you for your business," goes a long way. I'm guessing it was the owner who took my payment (after yelling at his crew) and handed me my papers without even looking at me. The feel was that I was just a number. So if you're looking for quality work, and don't care about decent customer service, this might be the place for you. read more

We had Preferred tint the windows in our 5 day old car. The staff here is very friendly and professional. The tinting is flawless. They give a lifetime warranty on their work, and the dealership we purchased our car from recommended them. Can't get much higher of a recommendation than that. While there, I saw several dealership employees from different dealerships picking up completed cars. The tinting service was completed surprisingly quickly (just over an hour), but it was early. We have been going to the same tint shop down below in the SFV since 2000. We are creatures of habit; looking for great value, top-notch customer service / experience, & are repeat loyal customers. We moved back up here from down below in 2010. We purchased a 2015 Mustang GT on 3/31/15. I figured I'd look up here on 4/1 before heading off to our usual place & that hopefully I will find a place that is just as good. I did not need to look any further than 3 miles from our house. I was more than impressed with my experiences at Preferred Window Tinting. Great folks up front along with a clean & comfy waiting area. And speaking of waiting, I did not have to wait that long either. My appointment was on 4/2 @ 11 am & it took a mere 53 minutes for install on all 5 glass. Another 15 minutes out in the sun and she was done. Mind you I am used to 3 to 4 hour wait times to tint my vehicle. Apparently, Preferred Window Tinting is able to cut the film using a program instead of by hand. Even with the speedy service, the workmanship was same as a 3 to 4 hour tint install. Great warranty as well along with instructions on how to maintain the tint for 3 to 5 days until dry with the basic same information given when new tint is installed. No mess or fuss. I did come today to have a couple of tiny bubbles taken care of. Again, 10 minutes tops. I highly recommend Preferred Window Tinting if you are up here in the AV. And if you have a tint shop down below, give Preferred Window Tinting a call first & you will not be disappointed. read more

Really good experience. I took my car in to get the windows tinted and they did an awesome job. It took them about 2 hours, as promised, which wasn't bad since we dropped off the car and headed out to run errands. One thing (totally my fault) that kinda made me rethink the tint was getting limo tint in the back. The employee warned me that it would be difficult to see out of at night, but I went ahead and got it. Now I'm thinking I should have gone lighter. I decided to upgrade to the heat resistance option. I'm sure I will love that in the summer. Also, my fiance used Google Maps to get there and it took me all the way out to Quartz Hill for some reason which made me late to my appointment.
