If I could give an extra star for going above and beyond what other facilities do, I would. Before establishing care here, I lived by the UCLA Ronald Reagan Center which is one of the top-rated medical centers in the US. Having experienced their level of service which was great and comparing it to here- I would say here is the same level of quality but probably better if I'm being honest. Dr. Gibson's expertise in medicine is exceptional and what's noteworthy is his ability to explain seemingly complex topics in ways that are digestible and absorbed by you and me. I never feel rushed during an appointment and the doctor remembers everything I've told him which shows his attention to detail and his care for each patient. Sometimes I think it's easy to feel like you're just another patient at medical facilities but you won't experience that here. You'll be treated like the awesome human you are and realize this is how healthcare should be. I met Dr. Kwon in the foyer of my condo complex and found out that we had the same last names and that he was a general practitioner. Looking for a doctor, I quickly made an appointment and jetted off to Silver Spring. Dr. Kwon's office was clean and quaint - lots of little old Korean ladies who hadn't quite caught on to the English craze here in America - but hey, it's a niche market and you have to cater to the customer if you're going to survive. Very friendly, gets back to you quickly, and doesn't talk down to you when you ask a question. I have kept him on (even though I've been using the VA medical center lately too) as my doc and will continue to go to him in the future.

You're assisting someone of advanced age. It's hard enough to make decisions for yourself, that much harder for someone else. Geriatric doctors are seasoned in the ways of an aging patient. The Cameron Medical Group location is good. Only a front parking lot like in a shopping center would be better, but this location is next best, in the heart of downtown Silver Spring. Street level parking opens up, drive around the block and you'll find something, or use county parking just there. It's a hilly walk from Metro, one block over, but there's the freebie bus that goes to the side of the building, on Cameron (think Silver Spring Diner). Building has an elevator, and the Cameron's Group office is pleasant. One day a week, CMG has hours until seven p.m. which is incredibly convenient--means not having to take leave from work. Some people don't have ability to take leave--it's costly even if you do. Extended hours are appreciated, it's a fine benchmark for this Group. With their website, one can access needed forms. My forms were mailed to me ahead of time. I appreciate having enough time to complete forms thoroughly. Office staff has computer skill to allow for helpful email appointment reminders. Techs in this office are very nice. Remember that CMG does not take checks, it's cash or debit. Only negative for me is a too-high, too uncomfortable chair for blood draw. Simply does not work for me, tried it twice, twice a fail, the chair height and type is not for me.

I've *never* encountered any of these experiences. Never. And, have always been treated very professionally and courteously during a visit, from start to finish. Today...was no exception. Then, I started looking at the dates on these reviews and saw how many were written when COVID-19 was at it's first peak. Let me explain something. There wasn't *any* health care provider who was prepared for this...seriously, none. Supplies were in scarce supply, everything from masks and gloves to disinfecting products to...protocol in seeing patients was nearly non-existent. Everyone was winging it, including myself...at my own office. Personally, my experiences with the office have all been top notch. During the above mentioned time period, I was also due for a regular visit to have my prescriptions refilled and a televisit was done instead of an in-person appointment. Had zero issues, again despite the ongoing pandemic. Yes. I would definitely recommend this practice, without hesitation and would advise those reading negative reviews to consider the positive ones as well.

When I first had an appointment at Primecare, I saw Dr. Arun and I thought she was great (I still do). She went over my medical history and concerns carefully, with detailed explanations behind each one of her recommendations. The Quest lab facility in-house was extremely convenient. These were also the highlight of my time at Primecare. Subsequent visits did not usually involved Dr. Arun. That's ok to some extent - I have no issue with PAs, but I did think it was a little bit of an unannounced switch. But the timely appointments became harder to come by. Then one day I had an 8am appointment, to which I showed up promptly. I was kept waiting without word until past 830a. Then I was called to the back but told the doctor (may have been Dr. Akinlade) had two patients ahead of me (not sure how that's possible when they open at 8am) and that it would be another 20 minutes at least before she saw me. The staff had not, at any point, told me they were running an hour late. I left and changed practice. To their credit, they sent my records to my new provider without issue. Still, this is a potentially excellent practice that really needs to get timeliness and communication right in order to thrive.
