My husband and I have attended Premier dance school to prepare for a cruise from Miami to the Caribbean islands. I in particular have two left feet. Nathan is an exceptional teacher. He is encouraging, humble and creative in his teaching modalities. If I'm not doing it right he will quickly find a different way to teach me so that I get the step. To fully appreciate how good Nathan and Premier Ballroom are, you have to know a little something about me. Three years ago I was shy, depressed, and overweight, and never in a million years did I think I'd be able to dance; a friend of mine suggested taking dance classes and recommended I try Premier Ballroom. He said it would help improve my confidence. Fine, I thought as I rolled my eyes, I'll try it once. I knew I'd be terrible at it and that I'd just end embarrassing myself, but at least I could say I tried it. I went to my first dance lesson expecting to fail, but Nathan, despite never having met me before, didn't let me fail. Nathan breaks the dances down into their most basic elements, teaches you the steps before teaching you the fancy stylistic elements. He never overwhelms you with information and will walk you through everything. If you're having trouble with something, Nathan will help you figure it out. Most importantly though is how Nathan makes you feel while you're there; you won't get through a lesson without laughing with him, and he has a way making you feel like you're the best dancer in the room. He builds your confidence as he's teaching you, so that when it comes to time learn more challenging dances and moves, you're comfortable pushing your boundaries. I went to my first dance class expecting to fail. I now dance in competitions, in front of judges and audiences. If you'd told me that I'd be doing that three years ago, when I was so shy and depressed that I didn't even like going outside, I'd have thought it was a cruel joke. My husband and I took lessons with Nathan and honestly could not have been happier with our decision to go through Premier Ballroom. Nathan is friendly and professional, and an excellent teacher. Neither my husband or I have ever taken lessons so we decided to take six, including our consultation lesson, over a two month period. My (now) husband, Trevor and I decided on Premier Ballroom for dance lessons for our upcoming wedding and could not be happier with the results. In the three years I have known Trevor, I've never ever seen him on the dance floor, so honestly I was a little concerned. But, Mariah made ever step of the way super easy and comfortable. Trevor was nervous (I was too) but she might be one of the most patient people I have ever met. She choreographed a fun, simple, routine for our first dance and led us to a wonderful, successful outcome. We went the first few times our of pure necessity, but came back, well because we still needed work, but also because Mariah was so fun to work with. My wife and I took lessons at Premier for our first dance at our wedding. I'll start by saying I'm 6'4" and 240 pounds, and pretty much a total clod. I know nothing about dancing, and never even attended a school dance. Nathan was an awesome instructor, very helpful and willing to work with us even though I had no idea what the hell I was doing. Very patient with us and a really nice guy. At first, I thought the prices were a little steep but looking around it's pretty much competitive with any other place you'd go to, and they offer specials, so if you follow them on facebook, you can find out what these are. I'd go back someday if I wasn't scared to death of dancing again...but the dance at the wedding went great and we have Premier Ballroom to thank! read more

We had a great experience learning a first dance with Delayna at Premier Ballroom. She was friendly and encouraging, jumped right in with our song, and introduced us to simple but impressive steps that were right at our level. At each session (4 total) she taught us just the right number of new things that we could handle practicing until the next session. At our final session, she taught us some great tips that really helped polish up our moves so that we felt confident and prepared. Our guests can't stop talking about our first dance and how surprised they were by our "performance!" We had a great time, and Delayna was fun and professional through the entire process. The location is great for us, we can't wait to go back and take some group lessons. We have an upcoming wedding and needed a crash course in dancing as it has been many years since I have been on the floor and my wife has never had the pleasure. Premier Ballroom is truly as good as it gets. I started taking lessons from Nathan in 2009 and quickly went from dancing for fun to dancing competitively. I love this place and love the clients there as well. It almost feels like family; new students/clients are always welcomed with such warmth by the instructors AND the other students. Nathan and Delayna have it all: the passion, the uncanny ability to teach all levels of dance and have the "wins" to prove their ability to turn the average Joe into a dancing king or queen (Premier Ballroom always does well at competitions). Nathan is by far the best "lead" in the business which allows students like me to pick up on new moves and dances easily. You're not going to find another studio in the area that allows you to progress at your own speed like Premier does.... they won't charge you more to progress to the next level. I can't praise this studio enough. In 4 years they've surpassed many other ballroom studios (in competitions and enrollment) that have been in the business for far longer. So, when my doctor told me, "Ken. You gotta get some exercise", I knew that "going to the gym" never worked for me. Then I thought of my wife's interest in learning to dance 'some day'. I surprised her by finding Premier Ballroom near us in Everett and suggesting that we start dance lessons. Our very first lesson just happened to be Nathan and Delayna's very first day in their new ballroom on Hewitt Avenue. What a drop-dead gorgeous place. Overall our experience has been tremendous. Nathan and Delayna are talented, professional, and fun. We've always gotten great value for our money and there is never any sales pressure. Just good old fashioned invitation and welcome. One of the things I did not expect when we started was getting to know some of the regulars. Premier Ballroom is a true community in all the best senses of that word.
