My daughter has been dancing at this studio for several years now, and as she approaches her 9th birthday, her love for dance continues to grow. From the very beginning, everyone has been welcoming, supportive, and incredibly helpful. Mrs. Debbie, the owner, recently took time out of her busy schedule right before classes started to help my daughter get fitted for new ballet shoes. That level of personal attention and care says so much about the studio and the people who run it. My daughter loves her classes so much that she actually begged me to enroll her in an additional class! She looks forward to dance every week and has loved all of her teachers. Special shoutout to Miss Olivia, who has been wonderful and has helped make dance such a positive experience for her. We just finished another recital season, and every year I am blown away by the enthusiasm, dedication, and passion of the instructors. Watching the recital, it's easy to see how much work goes into preparing the dancers while still making the experience fun and encouraging. And honestly, anyone who has ever tried to teach a group of 4- and 5-year-olds anything can appreciate how impressive it is to see those young dancers smiling, having fun, and confidently performing on stage! What I appreciate most is that this studio has grown with my daughter. From her early classes as a little one to the dancer she is becoming today, she has always felt encouraged, supported, and excited to come back each week. I love this place. My girls have been here for a year and a half. I love the owners. They clearly focus on integrity, on helping me raise young women of integrity and modesty. In a world that all too happily objectifies women, it is refreshing to find a studio that allows my girls to be just that: girls, not sexy, inappropriate mini women. Their choreography are darling as are the costume choices for the recital at the end of the year. I also really appreciate that they don't nickel and dime you. The owners make a real effort to create a community and send out a newsletter to keep you updated. All of the young women teaching my girls have been positive and great role models. I'd give zero stars if I could. Don't even consider taking your children here to dance. The teachers are good but the owners are TERRIBLE. They are all about the money, the owner evens takes the dance photographs and charges professional fees, and it is NOT professional but you have no choice. You are not allowed to take pictures or video at the recital. Their business practices are atrocious and the tuition is high. The studio is Christian based but the owners are not good people. Plenty of other studios in the area to choose from. I'd stay away from this one. read more

We've been going to this studio for 3 years (we've tried ballet, hip hop, and cheer). I did a lot of research, and it's one of the best in the area as far as variety (ballet, jazz, tap, acro, cheer, etc.) and availability (number of classes), plus it's reasonably priced and offers a free trial class so you can see if it's a good fit. The staff is very friendly. It's a warm and encouraging environment; students are not only taught dance, but how to be a kind individual and how to be confident in front of groups of people. I've found the owners to be very organized; they send out newsletters via e-mail and paper copy in-studio. They also have a very active FB page with lots of information, photos, and videos. Parents are unable to watch students (aside from the occasional glance in the window) during class, but I've found this to be common at most studios. Every couple of months there are observation days, and family and friends are invited to go into class and watch. If your child misses a class due to illness, vacation, etc., you can attend a make up class at no extra cost. Younger classes hold a Christmas open house for family and friends to attend. More advanced classes put on a small Christmas showcase. At the end of the year in June there is a recital, which is optional. If you choose to participate in the recital (last year was our first year to participate), there is a fee to purchase the costume. I like that a professional photographer takes photos, and there is a DVD of the show, so I don't have to worry about blurry photos or recording around the head of the person in front of me. Wow. I had such great hopes for this place. It's close to my home, the teachers seem nice, small classes, and it's affordable each month. They also offer many classes, you will probably be able to find a spot that works for you, even if you are busy. If you are new to the dance scene, here are some normal things you can expect: 1. Don't expect to be able to watch your child during regular weekly practice. Parents are discouraged from oogling at the window, and are only invited to watch a few times. 2. If you choose not to purchase the costume required for the performance, don't expect to be included in the class recital. 3. Don't expect to be able to watch your child's rehearsal for the recital. 4. Don't expect to be able to attend the recital without purchasing tickets. 5. Don't expect to be able to take pictures and/or video at the recital. _______________________________________________________________ Okay...so WHY one star?!! Here is what we spent for our child to take classes & attend the recital this year. $378 for 6 months of classes $75 for recital costume $30 for group/individual photos $30 for two adult tickets to attend the recital $12 for our other daughter to attend the recital $10 for flowers afterward (I have chosen not to include the money spent on leotards, tights, and ballet shoes) Total: $535.00 And in the end...our daughters entire class did not dance at the recital (it wasn't just one or two kids looking around). These children are 4 & 5 year olds. They came on stage and stood there the entire time, just looking at each other. There was no one down in front for them to mimic, or to remind them of what they were supposed to do. Other young groups at the recital had a mentor down in front to mimic. But, oddly our group of little kids did not. Needless to say, it was very disappointing. Because of the above mentioned rules (i.e. not watching the rehearsal, not being able to watch the kids practice during class)...I have no idea what my child has learned this year about dance and/or performing. For those of you considering enrolling your children in their program. Here's a little suggestion...you should visit their website and buy the DVD for their "2017 20th Anniversary". It's $35 right now, but I believe you may be able to buy it at the end of the year, or next year for maybe $10-15. (Or, go in on the purchase with a friend). My daughters class is the 2nd one on the DVD. But, I also suggest you watch the 4th group perform. (The wrong song is played), I believe more than 3 times...and it takes a pretty long time to correct this...it was SO long, a number of the girls who appeared about 10+ years old, couldn't hold their arms in position while waiting for the correct song to play. Also during the recital the owners showcase a family who has been with them for NINETEEN years. They give this family a gift. It's a book written by one of the owners, and they also remind the audience that the book is available to purchase after the recital, and also on their website. I found this stunt to be awkward and tacky. So, get the DVD, and make up your own mind. I am personally disappointed that we spent so much time and money. And in the end I am not even sure what my daughter learned. Reflections School of Dance has been doing this for 20 years? We won't be back, and I know we're not the only ones. read more

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!! I cannot say enough great things about Reflections! I enrolled my daughter in February before Covid shut everything down. She fell in love with the class, and sadly within a few short weeks of her starting ballet, the shut down started, and my daughter would ask about ballet constantly. During this time, the staff have showed us nothing but the highest level of support and understanding. Once classes were open again, my daughter was super excited. She looks forward to class every week, and always tells me how much fun she has at ballet. The staff here are all amazing people. I would recommend this place to anyone! read more

This place has taught me so munch since I started ballet 2 , and I have enjoyed being with so many amazing teachers. I learned so many awesome choreography , I love how the costumes, Choreography are perfect level of difficulty. This is our first year at Reflections School of Dance and we just love it! The teachers are great and my daughter has already learned so much more than she has at previous studios. One of the best things is their communication. I take hip-hop here and the teacher is super nice and well coordinated. They have ballet, tap, hip-hop and jazz from 3 years of age to adults. They also have a very good price for this type of business. You can also audition to be on a team, and perform about once a month. Or you can just take a class and they have a rectal once a year, where you buy your outfit from them and put makeup on and do your recital in front of friends and family. read more

My daughter takes ballet classes here, starting when she was 2 1/2 years old. The teacher for that class, Miss Laurie, is amazing. My daughter has so much fun and looks forward to ballet every single week. She has a great time dancing and playing with all of her friends, and we will continue to sign up for classes here.
