They had a whole section dedicated to theatre seating and had some really unique pieces (giant spinning couch/chairs). Overall, we didn't opt to buy our main pieces here and went with LA Z Boy instead but this place is still worth a luck if you're on the hunt for new furniture. The location is on St. Albert Trail next to a bunch of other furniture places and easy to get to from the Yellowhead or 137th avenue just off St A Trail. This isn't a discount store so expect prices to be higher than the Brick or Leon's for sure.

Sofaland, we will be back not to replace cheap furniture that didn't hold up up but to purchase more high fashion, durable furniture. You should go too.

He didn't try to up sell me, which I super enjoyed!! The only reason I dropped a star is that I paid for delivery & removal of my old mattress, yet I did about 50% of the actual labour. Make sure they bring two people if you are having them deliver or take away. Overall I am super happy with having such a great option here in Sherwood Park.

Fun LARGE home decor store located in the 124 street shopping area…read more Popped in here for the first time the other week while completing the 124 Street Red Shoe Crawl and absolutely fell in love with the store. From hand shaped book ends to the neatest hooks you'll ever find to keep your keys safe (did someone say squirrel?) to funky house numbers, Henry's is your place! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere bright, cheery, and full of natural light with huge floor to ceiling windows. They also carry a selection of furniture and had some fabric swatches so I'm pretty sure they are customizable. Can't wait to go back and add to my unusual hooks collection!

What a street party! Many many unique decorator items, furniture, lighting, art, even some really really nice clothing at fair prices! Nicely laid out vignettes of furniture, and the staff were quite gracious and helpful considering how many people were in the store that night. Depending what you are shopping for, you will want to spend some time exploring all the corners nooks and crannies for nifty items. I was particularly fascinated by the selection of hooks and LED lighting. The challenge with this neighbourhood is the parking, it's limited, and frequently you will need to resort to paying for either a meter on the street or in the Impark lot behind MEC. The bridge construction has been difficult for businesses in the area, and now the development going up kitty-corner to Henry's PFT will add to the challenge. Leave yourself some time, make a trip out of it, stop for a bite to eat and you will have a more relaxing visit.

After walking around the store for a few minutes, I quickly realized that most of the furniture was not to my taste, although there was certainly a wide selection. It must have been a slow day, as I felt like I was virtually the only person in the store and was being shadowed by a salesperson wherever I went. I finally found a piece that I liked and would actually consider purchasing. I asked the saleswoman hovering nearby a few questions about the piece, and whether I could take a picture and measurements. She asked me if I was actually serious about purchasing it. Keep in mind that this was an expensive piece (at least by my standards) and no matter how much I might like something, I'm not an impulse shopper who buys pricey furniture at first sight. So I replied that I would have to bring my husband to take a look at it before making a final decision. Then she said, "Of course - after all, he's the one paying for it, right?" Um, sorry? Not in our dual-income household. The whole exchange really put me off and I left right after. For example, Mcelheran's has a blow-out price on a Bernhardt chair for $999.00 and Chintz&Co. is selling the exact same chair (Dalia) for $499.00 at half off the regular price of $998 and further, Chintz is selling the Dalia Bernhardt floor model at $299! Mcelheran's desperately needs to hire a furniture stager as their products are not displayed in the best possible way, very confusing how they have their store laid-out.

Shopping for an area rug for our new house was a daunting process. After multiple trips to shops…read morelike Home Sense, Winners and other smaller home retailers I decided I should try a store that specialized in rugs to try and find something I loved. The store does custom orders, and also has "off the shelf" rugs to purchase that are organized by size. The size organization was a huge time saver, allowing me to concentrate on pattern and texture. A staff member brought me some water to drink and large plastic clips to mark the rugs I like (the same process as wedding dress shopping for any ladies who have been through that). There were a lot of rugs I liked, and one in particular that was exactly what I had pictured wanting for our space. The staff brought it down and laid it out on the floor for me to look at, and then wrapped it up for us to put in our car. The purchase process here is a little different than a normal store - you "sign out" rugs for 48 hours with a credit card hold, and if you like it, the store confirms over the phone and then bills your card for the rug(s) you are keeping. They emailed me my bill and care instructions within 30 minutes of talking on the phone. The staff here were lovely and the selection is top notch. The rug I selected was within the budget I set out before going shopping, and prices were totally in line with other stores I have visited.
