Warning about Ifurniture -- avoid at all costs! I ordered a mattress and furniture combo set from Ifurniture in Calgary, and it's been a nightmare. The mattress arrived defective -- seams coming apart and stitching torn -- and the furniture had multiple damages too. I reported everything within 24 hours. Since then, it's been over 3 months of constant delays, failed delivery attempts, and broken promises. I waited 6 weeks for a replacement sock from Edmonton that never arrived. They purposely made me wait so I'd miss the 7-day return window, then used that as an excuse to deny my refund -- which is unfair and against consumer protection laws. Their Calgary manager yelled at me repeatedly, claiming he was "trying to resolve" things despite five failed delivery attempts. He screamed over me, refused to let me speak, and harassed me so badly the police advised me to communicate only via email. I had to ask at least four times to stop the harassment. Yesterday, the supervisor was dismissive and rude, telling me, "This has been happening too long, we already heard you." She promised to call me back at 8 p.m., but never did. Now, when I call, they simply hang up on me or disconnect immediately. They also tried to keep my delivery fee and charge me for picking up the furniture! Be careful -- they lie about their policies and have given me at least three different reasons why they won't accept the return. I called their customer service 28 times in one day -- most calls were ignored, hung up on, or disconnected immediately. It took them a whole month to respond to an email, and now I'm stuck in endless silence and broken promises. They still hold my money but haven't delivered what I paid for. I have recordings and proof of everything and am preparing complaints with Service Alberta, BBB, and Small Claims Court. Here's what I am doing in case anyone's in a similar situation. Contact Service Alberta's Consumer Investigations Unit -- they handle unfair business practices in Alberta. File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Consider Small Claims Court to recover your money; keep all emails, call logs, and recordings as evidence. I have recordings of all interactions with them as they appeared shady as soon as they took my money If you face harassment or threatening behavior, involve the police or seek legal advice. Bought a brand new king size mattress in the store it looked and felt like laying on a cloud top was perfectly flat no ripples at all. We enrolled ths mattress on the bed said to let it fluff out for 24 hours. We waited 2.5 days for it to look like the one in store, it never happened. Took pictures of the mattress forwarded them to customer service, they said it was the manufacturers fault they would contact them and get back to me. Stay away from this company. At all costs. They must be going out of business soon. Customers are sold broken furniture, then told the piece is discontinued and that they magically have a replacement part in stock. This is on SEVERAL occasions (read the Google reviews... frightening). You are then told that you have to deliver the broken piece yourself, even if you brought up issues on delivery. Doesn't matter. They will not pick up. I've been in sporadic communication with this company since February due to furniture delivered broken or parts being incorrect. They don't answer for weeks at a time. Short of delivering my broken furniture through their front window, I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to do. Do not do business with iFurniture. Years ago, they were a great alternative. My gf and I are in the market for new furniture so we decided to check out ifurniture. When we got there, we weren't once greeted by any of the staff. There was a few working through out the warehouse but not a single person acknowledged us. This place is set up so you have to go through the whole place but the presentation wasn't pretty. They have furniture stacked on top of other furniture as they lacked the room or organizing skills to set up a proper showroom. We were looking for a particular blue couch we had seen on their website but since no one came to help we left. We went to Structube and was greeted immediately and our sales associate helped us pick out 2 couches and a coffee table. Maybe I expect people to be decent, especially now, but dealing with IFurniture has proven once again that there is a true illness in dealing with these types of companies and individuals. I purchased a bed frame and bedding for my child 13 months ago from this store and it was by far the worst purchase I have ever made. From the get-go I was a frequent visitor to their warehouse as the bed was missing parts and screws or the slats would continually snap in half. Not once had I ever seen a furniture company put the onus on a consumer to continually run around and fix their products on the consumers time, however it progressively got worse. On the 13 month- mark, as pointed out by the lovely (horrible) staff that I have been forced to deal with, the actual frame gave out and the screws snapped in half causing the bed to plummet to the ground. Of course I did my due-diligence by calling, and calling, and calling until I was given a polite "F.O" and told that because it was past the one year they would not offer any type of help. They did suggest the bed frame had been discontinued and they had some again in their warehouse but I would have to re-buy the same garbage I just bought. I literally asked them are you giving me any options, the answer I got was 'NO', when I stated I would write a review, the girl I spoke to seemed to shrug it off, like who cares. The best part of this whole situation is I have had to bring a carpenter over to look at this mess and he was astonished as the entire frame was literally falling apart and cannot be fixed without making a structural mess. If I keep one person away from this company I have done someone a favour and played it forward. They are rude, non-professional and the furniture is absolutely horrible. The place is like a Church basement or something - not at all a positive vibe! I looked at some chairs upstairs in their beat-up "balcony" and they haven't been put together properly - or are broken...ALL of them, which is obviously not a good sign. After seeing how dingy the place was, I started checking with the Better Business Bureau and there are many complaints that their furniture is poor quality and they do not support the one year warranty - they just ghost the customers. Some of their furniture is unique and inexpensive but usually there is a reason for why something is inexpensive. The doors were not unlocked until 5 minutes after proper opening time, with people waiting outside including us. We were there for a total of about 20 minutes and during this entire time none of the around 6-8 staff asked if we needed any help....they were too busy on their cell phones. Quite a few of the pieces of furniture had sold tags in them and quite a few also had stains and were unclean. Once we left the store, my wife's black winter boots had white cat hair all over them and we don't have a cat! Not sure if they allow their pets to roam the display floor or not. Yeah.... Move over the IKEA, there's a new furniture store in town. New Zealand based furniture store that's new to YEG and has plans to be the largest furniture store in the city once they have all their stock unpacked. The front room looks like any furniture store, little spaces set up to give you some set up inspo. The furniture is quality and affordable and the variety is excellent. So many styles to choose from. Trendy, retro and hi tech! There were recliners with cup holders that had LED lights inside. There are three rooms downstairs and currently they are still filling the third room with tables and chairs. Because of this they were cool with us moving things around and pairing different hairs with the dining table we chose. Eventually the second floor will also be a stocked showroom. The staff are not pushy with sales which I like. There are sales reps available but you might need to seek them out. We purchased a table and four chairs and because we bought multiple items we got a little discount on top which was super! The warehouse is a short 6 min drive and they have everything ready for you to load into your vehicle. Can't wait to see it when it's finished. Great quality and value. read more

Very poor , poor customer service. Staff member Audrey is not honest about what has happened claims that my son jumped on the back rest of a couch and he actually just sat on it and broke it. Again Audrey claims she heard me say it, so actually she did not see it happen. If you don't see it with your own eye balls you can't really say what has happened. Unfortunately no cameras in the store, too bad because the truth would come out. So ken and Audrey told me to pay for it. First time coming there today. The furniture is in disarray. Stained and broken. I know it's a showroom but the furniture is not maintained. There's an odd smell the moment you walk in. Like a mixture of mildew and dust. There were a few leather couches on the right back wall that are covered in what looked like grease. It was almost gross to try out the furniture for quality as they look/smell like they were pulled out of the dumpster. I made the mistake of using their bathroom and i just about gagged. There was a shower stall there weirdly filled with cleaning supplies also a broom with a dustpan with dirt in it . Someone before me left the toilet seat up so i got a full view of the disgustingness that was under the toilet seat. I almost hurled. The soap container was empty and the paper towel sat, wet, on top of the toilet paper holder. The state of the bathroom definitely made it easy for me to decide NOT to buy furniture there.
