Another time I asked for newer medications that worked faster than others in the past.... I was basically accused of being a pill seeker. I understand there is a shortage of doctors but if you are willing to take your life into your own hands.. this is the place for you !

The staff did everything they could to make sure I could get treated promptly and get back on my way. The clinic doesn't have the equipment or facilities to treat more serious injuries but for your run-of-the-mill problems like minor infections, illnesses, or sprains this clinic would be my first choice any day because I can get in and out so much faster than I ever could at, say, the family medicine clinic at the nearby medical university. The only turn-off for me with this clinic is there is a lot of Christian or Bible-themed plaques and sayings posted around the clinic. I believe in treating the 'whole person' and in the valuable role one's spirituality (if applicable) can play in healing. However, when only one faith or religion is represented it implies that in the eyes of the staff there is the only 'right' belief system, and that does not feel welcoming to patients who do not share those beliefs. If a clinic is going to post such things on its walls, I believe it is more appropriate to post inspirational quotes from a -diverse- array of faiths or spiritual leaders so as to communicate respect for the diverse array of clients that walk through your doors.

Besides, on paper they look like they have not been open in 6 years or just simply not review worthy. Maybe after a few more "by appointment only" patients, they can afford to update their door signs and street sign. It's a scratch.

They whisked us to the back pretty quickly & started getting him cleaned up, assessed & xrays while I did the paperwork. He got bandaged up & medication for pain. Grateful for their kindness, efficiency & care. If my family needs urgent care again, I know where I'll take them.

They have always taken the time to review my medical history and also careful to follow-upon my issues. I have complicated diagnoses that require balancing medications and supplements. I never feel like I am being rushed to update my medications or address any new issues. (I also know that this careful attention to each issue patient sometimes means I have to wait to be seen, but I do not resent that other patients receive the same attentiveness.

The nurse just did the bare minimum and didn't seem to care to find out what the real cause or best treatment would be, so of course the infection never went away; when I tried to follow up I found she'd moved on to her next job; the doctor I saw merely for a referral to a specialist charged me for services unbillable to insurance, and so I've been getting bills for months for what should've been a simple $10 copay visit. Also trying to make an appointment for this place is always a big drama, with the phone staff confused and giving out the wrong information.

I will be 10 years clear this June 2026 thanks to Dr. Dixon and his compassion. He knew who to contact, exactly who I needed, and took the appropriate action when I called him. I will always trust him with my life, always. One of my main requirements for any medical professional in my life, human or animal, is that they be able and willing to listen. They don't have to agree but they do have to listen. Dr. Dixon is the very best human doctor I've met at listening to me. He actively listens and responds clearly and kindly. I have no doubt whatsoever that Dr. Dixon is the best GP in Saline Co. bar none.

Recently, I've started get bill from things I had two years ago. They couldn't figure out what a procedure costs within the first couple of years? It's more of what's wrong with health care in general. They are aggressive about collecting it too. Very aggressive. It is mind boggling. I'll pay it because I have the money and they'll just take me to court. It's only a few hundred dollars, but it's the principle of the thing that gets me. Two years to decide to send me another bill.
