The most recent meet on Jan 18 was horrible. It went way over the expected time, they crammed us all into this tiny space where we had to stand for half an hour to wait for "the results". Then the gymnasts were running around with no supervision, jumping all over the makeshift "stage" and ruining some of the placement tags. By this time the kids were starving and some of us in the audience saw one of the coaches eating a pizza in front of everyone. We all just stood there watching her.but she was oblivious.Not a good look. Then finally, someone explained the reason for the delay (their computer system went down so they had to calculate the scores manually). Then more waiting. When the winners were finally announced, the person announcing had no microphone. She just yelled out the names while nervously flipping thru all her papers. It was all done so haphazardly, Coaches were running all over the place like chickens with their heads cut off. Nobody had a clue. Like I said, they need to dip into that stockpile of money they make off of us and invest in a professional event coordinator. Cmon guys. Get it together will ya? Parents are getting fed up with this.

But the younger kids seemed to have fun. Then everyone moved the the gymnastics portion of the gym. The kids were able to use two trampolines and the foam pit. One trampoline had a hole/was broken, so I think there would have been even more jumping action for the kids if it had been fixed. I really liked the gymnastics portion and would consider it for a future birthday party. The cost is quite high, and it doesn't include any type of food or beverage. You are able to order or bring your own, but then the cost is of course even higher. The biggest problem I had, was that at least three children became sick a couple of days later. My child being one of them. I hope they do some deep cleaning, especially now. But this needs to occur at least once a week in order to help keep kids healthy, since many come in for classes all week long.

She had beautiful calm music playing when the class started. My kids and I brought our own mats but they had mats available to use. The room only had a few lights on to help create the calm energy in the surrounding atmosphere. Michelle did a great job leading the class while walking around to adjust people as needed to ensure proper form. She seemed super knowledgable about the yoga positions and proper posture for each form. I just loved how Michelle took the time to included every single participant especially the kids. She was kind and caring when helping the kids understand how to move their bodies or hold a pose. The class just seemed to fly by and the kids want to come back again. I would love to give them Five Stars but they only have 2 family classes (Yoga and Zumba) available at this location. There are a lot of families in the area.

She has grown so much in her dance skills, but just as importantly, she truly enjoys going and has built a sense of "family" there. Ms. Nicole and Ms. Katie are very encouraging, but also direct and firm when corrections are needed, which really helps the girls continue improving their technique. They truly believe that if a child has a passion for dance, they deserve a chance to grow. The atmosphere is also incredibly positive- there's no "catty" behavior among the kids or parents, which makes it such a supportive and welcoming environment. Avery has taken both ballet/tap and ballet/jazz classes, and one thing I love is how supportive the environment is. The older dancers are always helping each other out and sharing tips and tricks, which makes such a positive difference. She really looks up to the older girls as role models. We're nearing the end of our first competition season, and it's been an amazing experience so far. Pricing is more affordable versus other studios in Tampa and given to you ahead of time so there's no surprises. Overall, we've had a great experience at Nicole's Dance Center, and I'm excited to keep watching my little one grow there.

These classes include jazz and tap, acro, hip hop and ballet. A lot of these dance styles have both beginning and intermediate level classes and there are a few adult and mom and baby classes as well. They also have "company" classes which are for the dancers who travel and compete in competitions. My daughter has had two classes taught by the owner, Nicole Bouchard. Nicole is a great instructor. She expertly balances the fun of dance with the seriousness of putting on a good show at the end of the year. She exhibits patience with her students, but also knows what buttons to push in order to motivate them. She knows when to listen and when to tell them to cut the garbage and get to work. She is very communicative and will take a few moments after class to let me know how my daughter did. Nicole's has a couple of other instructors as well. They empower some of the older company dancers by having them teach classes too. Nicole's studio houses two classrooms. Their schedule correlates with Pasco County Schools. If school is closed, the studio is as well. If school is in session, so is the studio. Each class has a final performance at the end of May or beginning of June. It is optional, not required. This final performance includes fancy outfits and makeup and happens on a large stage at a local private high school. This means professional level lighting and sound. They really go all out to do it right.
