The facilities on site include meeting and conferencing facilities, a gym which includes state of the art equipment and a heated swimming pool, a pub, a bar and grill and a Starbucks coffee shop. There are also themed evenings here, such as Soul and Motown evenings and comedy nights which includes a meal, a bar and disco for a set price. There is free Wi-Fi in the guest bedrooms which is an added bonus. The staff on site are friendly and accomodating.

I stay at hotels at least 75 nights a year minimum and have for the last 20 years. This is by far the WORST hotel experience I have had! I am a Platinum Elite member but not that that really matters (and it certainly did not to this hotel) The only reason that we did not leave this hotel and go somewhere else is because I had been driving a rental for several hours (and being from the US I was having to drive on the opposite side of the car and road as what I am use to which is stressful), it was raining and it was 11:50 PM. Upon check in I asked for a cup of ice -- sorry no ice...well i need to get a couple of bottles of water, nope, no bottles of water, but I was told that I could drink the water out of the bathroom tap! I should have left then...but again I was very tiredI got to the room and it had an odd smell--not horrible but odd and it was warm...and the A/C did not rectify that! The shower had mildew/mold growing in it. There was one bath towel and one hand towel--that's it! The lighting was atrocious... I wanted to take a shower, put night clothes on and go to sleep...but instead I put on some clean golf pants and a t-shirt laid down on top of the sheet after I inspected it with my flashlight (lighting was soooo bad in the room). I finally opened the window because it was cooler outside than inside and it smelled better outside---thank goodness it opened. I can't believe that Holiday Inn allows them to carry their name. I have stayed one some mediocre holiday inns and left a few but mostly they are average. I may have to get away from them for good and go only to Marriott and Hilton.

It's not in the best location but if you are a curry fan there is a plethora of options for you. I was training the following day so felt i needed to keep off the garlic, otherwise i would have been off like a shot to the best one nearby! Sept well, room was warm and cosy and everything worked. The wifi was a bit dodgy though.

The bed was extremely wobbly and uncomfortable, while the floorboards from the room creaked badly when the guests upstair walked, meaning that we had to get up at the same time as them. The cooked breakfasts are very nice but pricey unless you have a deal which includes them in the price of the room.
