My friends and I this past weekend went on the disco party cruise to celebrate my friend's bachelorette party!!! From the moment I booked this activity the owner Brian was so helpful. If I had a question or concern he replied in a timely manner. The company was very good about texting updates and sending messages confirming your reservation and everything that you needed to know before hand. Our group had the best time on the boat! We were sad when it ended because we just wanted to keep dancing and partying all day long. It was so much fun to celebrate with other future brides and grooms from all over the country. Everyone was very welcoming! The dj was awesome and so was the photographer. I would love to come back and do this activity again! I would recommend setting up transportation separately to get too and from the lake since we stayed in Austin and it's a 45 min drive. Also, make sure you bring something to eat! I had a super fun time on this party cruise! I went to Austin, Texas for a bachelor party and this was one of the events that was planned by the groomsman. I had no idea what to expect, we simply showed up in our Uber ready to party. I enjoyed the dj set up and music they played. I appreciated that they supplied orange juice, raspberries and blue berries for mimosas. A down side was theres little extra space on this boat and is pretty crowded. There isn't a designated spot to put your belongings, so we just had to trust that other people wouldn't mess with our stuff. We had a basic bach disco cruise booked. Unfortunately the government decided to shut down all Lake Travis the morning of our cruise. We were a bachelor party in town for only the weekend so rescheduling wasnt an option, and also there was no refund offered. Instead we were rebooked to "Beachside Billys" aka Volente Beach Water Park. So our bachelor group was rebooked to a Waterpark full of families and kids. They gave us drink wrist bands for well drinks and frozen margaritas. I understand the Lake shutting down wasnt in their control. However in instances such as this you should offer your customers a refund option. If I wanted to book my bachelor party group for a water park with other families and kids that's what I would've done. So its a bummer we didn't get what we paid for nor were we offered a refund. The water park was fine but it was not the vibes for a bachelor party. Just my 2 cents. read more

Such a fun activity to do while celebrating my friends bachelorette in Austin. It's a 4 hour boat ride on lake Travis, with about 2 hrs docked where you can eat, drink, swim, chill, etc. They have a dj who was playing great music & accepted all song requests. They have two bathrooms on board. They provide coolers for each group, plenty of ice cold water, and juices/fruits to make mixed drinks. You have to bring your own alcohol, food, towels, etc. Everyone must jump in the water with a life jacket even if you can swim (you don't have to wear it just carry it). They also have these amazing large floating pads in the water so you can lay out and enjoy the sun. The only thing I can think of that was not the best was how packed the boat was. Pretty sure we had like 7-8 separate bridal parties on one boat which was a bit crowded. You should get there early to secure a spot on the bench/seats or you'll end up standing the entire time. Offer mimosa's but don't supply enough champagne for everyone to even have one. Did not go to the famous Devil's Cove, but settled for a random spot with only 1-2 other boats. Offer "floats", but we all ended up using life jackets in the water. They even have a backup plan for rain just in case which sounded just as fun as the actual cruise. The Disco boat cruise was so much fun, and it was so awesome to hang out, dance, drink and swim in Lake Travis. ALL my friends were raving about how much fun they were having. We had a great time. Our guide was awesome. Extremely accommodating in helping blow up tubes and floats. What we didn't know is there were two boats going out at the same time. No big deal at first. Our boat only had one lily pad. Other boat had multiple. Our boat was also smaller with less people which was fine with us. When we docked to swim we realized the photographer was on the other boat. He then canoed around taking pictures of us in the water but then when the pictures came out we saw all the ones from the other boat and we got nothing but in water pictures. I think the photographer should have rode on one boat there and then rode on the other boat on the way back. So heads up if you're booking and you get placed on the smaller boat... more than likely you won't get good pictures. read more

Brain informed me/us on what to bring and where to meet him which made everything so easy. Everything was going great until we were stopped by the " Game Warden". Brian along with myself and family could not seem to understand why out of all of the boats out on the lake in visual sight "WE" were stopped. Of course they gave us an excuse of just wanting to check the books. SMH. We all just sat and looked as not one but two boats passed with passengers standing, dancing and enjoying themselves as "WE" were being stopped. NOT COOL. We celebrated my friends bachelorette party this weekend on their disco bachelorette party boat. It was definitely one of the highlights of the weekend. I loved that we got to celebrate with other bachelorette groups. From the time that we inquired, booked and days and weeks leading up to the event there was a streamline of communication. As a business owner, I appreciated that. Once on the boat every group was provided a cooler with mixers for your champagne or drinks as well as mixed fruit. Unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy the fruit but we did take advantage of the five mixers provided. They had a DJ on board and he was amazing. He played an assortment of music which made the trip that much more fun. They also had a photographer who was super friendly and made it fun taking pictures. Overall it was pretty epic. Not a family friendly company. The owners of this company parked one of their barges right next to another barge of dozens of minors on a school trip. The owner who was captaining this barge allowed his guests to smoke joints and get essentially naked in front of almost 40 minors. Any captain with three or more brain cells would have more tact than that. The other owner originally thought that the captain of his barge was a new captain, to which he claimed that he was disappointed and that this was against company policy. Once he learned that the captain was his co-owner, he changed his stance and only defended his coworker. Would not recommend. read more

The cruise comes with a DJ, photographer, floats, and your own cooler. The crew had constant ice water filled the entire 4 hours, which was necessary with the heat! Wyatt was our captain, and him and the rest of the crew did a great job of keeping things fun but also stressing that safety was their number 1 priority. Our group booked a Disco Cruise and had a fun day on the water. It was great weather and nice conditions for swimming. The boat staff and photographer on the day were all friendly, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The fun was definitely enhanced by the other groups on the boat, who were lovely and we all got along. The boat was not crowded and I think there were about five different groups together. Overall, it was easy to book on the website and the company was in constant (sometimes too much!) communication about the event, what to expect, rules, safety etc. There are two areas for improvement, in my opinion. First, the website and general company communications seem like they are written by a frat boy. The tone and overuse of 'awesome', excessive exclamation points etc., are a lot if you are not used to interacting with that crowd. It all feels very 'bro-y' and like you're being patronized as the customer, rather than being treated professionally. This was not the attitude of anyone on the actual boat, but had us worried for who we may encounter on the day. Second, the company charges different prices for men and women. We were there for a bachelorette party, with a mixed sex group of 7 women and 2 men. There is absolutely no reason to charge men more. They are not receiving more of a service or anything different on the boat to merit a different cost. This is actually discrimination. We asked the company why there was a cost difference, and the response was to moderate the ratio of men and women on the boat. That is nonsense. Just ask people the makeup of their party if you want to know this information and charge everyone equally. Don't practice sex-based discrimination. One last thing, we had to ask the DJ multiple times to play some requests. You're the DJ for our entertainment, and when multiple people ask you for a song, you should listen! The dance area was packed once you played our requests. We had fun, and thank you for a great day out to celebrate, but there is room for improvement. read more

This past weekend my friends and I did the disco party cruise for my bachelorette party. Brian was so helpful right off the bat! Keeping us informed on where to go, what to bring, what to expect, and even how to stay safe during the boat ride. It was suggested to drink water between each alcoholic beverage and to limit the hard alcohol. So it was very nice knowing they had our safety in mind! My group was on a smaller boat with 2 other bachelorette parties. It was perfect for us and we were able to tie up to the bigger boat once we got out on the lake.
