History

Established in 2007.

Premier Physical Therapy and Sports Performance was founded in 2007 by two local Delaware physical therapists, Pat Williams PT, MPT, OCS, and Tom Windley PT, MPT, Ph.D. Since 2007, Premier has grown their model of clinical excellence with the addition of partners. Together the team has created an environment to continue to enable the growth of physical therapists who have a patient-centered focus on the development of the highest clinical standards. Premier PT is an out-patient orthopaedic and sports physical therapy group treating musculoskeletal dysfunction and pain for all conditions. We specialize in sports physical therapy, dry needling, splinting and certified hand therapy, industrial injury prevention and rehabilitation, recovery from auto accident injuries, post-concussion treatment, balance training, post-surgical rehabilitation, athletic training, and the treatment and rehabilitation of all types of acute and chronic pain and injury conditions.

Meet the Manager: Josh W.

Josh Weber is the Director of our Dover clinic. Josh holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Susquehanna University and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Delaware Physical Therapy Association, and the American Physical Therapy Association’s Orthopedic section. During his graduate studies at Thomas Jefferson University, Josh was a member and treasurer of the Physical Therapy Society, a group that aimed to assist physical therapy students attending local and national conferences and other professional development opportunities. During his own pursuits, Josh co-authored and published “High Intensity Interval Training in Healthy Adults: A Systematic Review of the Literature.” This peer-reviewed abstract was also presented at the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association Southeast District Mini Combined Sections Meeting in 2013 in Philadelphia, PA.
