I have spent thousands more trying to address the poor grading that was done in my yard. The flooding around the property because the decking is way too sloped and pool too high. When the engineer came and said he told them the pool way too high which caused the yard to drain all rain towards the house. The small little grates put in seem to provide little help as there is no exit for the flow of water in there. I'm trying once again to address the water issue, but I'm beyond frustrated. Pavers are sinking as well. I sure wish someone would come check things out. I'm tempted to have the whole pool removed and going back to grass. Pictures might be hard to tell, but standing there you definitely can. Every worker I get here say the pool should have been lower and graded correctly. read more

I wished I had read a review like this prior to going down the rabbit hole with Premier Pools and their narcissistic franchise owner and his minions. Where quantity over quality is the name of the game! We went with Premier as most reviews seemed positive and our initial meeting with the salesperson was pleasant enough. He tells you what you want to hear, puts your mind at ease as they are the largest pool builder in the country, etc. I do not believe he meant to tell us mistruths, but alas he did. Our Spidey senses were tingling when we reviewed the contract, even my husband speaking with the franchise owner to try to put our minds at ease. The contract is extremely one-sided and says they can walk the job anytime they want, leaving you with an unfinished pool and there is nothing you can do about it. No other pool contractor will finish it as they will not warranty someone else's work. Yes, trust me, we tried to find someone else as our experience was that bad! But in Premier's defense, the franchise owner said there are many pool companies out there, and perhaps we are not for you. We should have trusted our gut and run the other way. Think to yourself...why are they the only pool company in the area that has availability right now?! Good, I have your attention. We broke ground this summer and from the start there were issues. We were told the equipment could go on the left side of our home as we did not want to have it behind our bedroom on the right side. The salesperson said no problem, yet it was against the code due to a window. No one told us until the day they broke ground and sure enough, it is now behind our bedroom. I asked to have my lemon tree spared and was told they would gladly dig it up and replant it. They dug it up and left it out of the ground to bake and die, without a word or an apology. They dug our hole and started on the pool frame. My husband instantly became concerned as the pool framing was extremely high out of the ground. Brought to the attention again of the franchise owner but told once the backfill was done it would be fine. It was not. They built our staircase incorrectly as the subcontractor left his phone at home with the picture on it and was going off memory - no - I am not making this up. Yes, they came back and corrected it, but not before throwing all the jackhammered concrete into the hole around the pool framing, something our deck builder said would cause us issues with stability. We hired an outside deck builder as the Premier salesperson told us "We build pools, not decks" and they did not care if we used someone else. We were not happy with the materials offered by Premier as we wanted a higher-end coping and decking material. We interviewed five decking companies; all told us we needed a retaining wall. No one from Premier agreed, nor was it in our contract, except for our project manager who said, "of course, you need a retaining wall," a statement he later retracted. Went back to Premier to let them know numerous companies stated we needed a retaining wall, or our deck would fail. They disagreed. We hired a structural engineer, again more money out of pocket, and he too said yes, we needed a retaining wall as the pool was too high out of the ground. So now our inground pool is an above-the-ground pool by a good twenty-two inches. We had to spend an additional $25k for this wall. Premier still told us we did not need it and took no responsibility for it, even when we asked for the last $9k of our contract to be "forgiven" and our team lead laughed at us. They built our jacuzzi incorrectly, having to come back and redo it more than once as we wanted a larger and deeper interior (which was in our contract). They did not tell us to order enough spa exterior tile, as the salesperson never put the right dimensions on the order. Premier's retort will be they fixed the problems. Yes, they did, but we were the ones who told you about the stairs being wrong and the Jacuzzi not being deep or wide enough. Premier's project manager was at our home once a week...if that, WE became the project managers! Then we were told we were getting "white glove service" as we called and texted all the time. Yes, we did call and text all the time as the mistakes were major and were happening constantly, yet we were never kept up to date on progress. We never knew when they were coming to do any work as every time, we would ask we were told "I do not know." They became increasingly ruder as the job progressed and it was never Premier's fault, always ours. I do not think we have had a good night's sleep in 4 months! Evidently times have changed with this company. Or the success stories haven't made it to this forum. I have nothing but great things to say. Our salesman, Hunter, was very thorough and explained everything. While Premier may be more expensive than some of the other companies it is the time and quality that count. I would much rather it be done right with higher quality components than to rush and swim in a hole that was put up in a matter of weeks. I have contacted Premier Pools and Spa attempting to get a "Free" estimate and on both occasions it was a epic fail. The first guy called to say he could not make it to my house for our appointment. He never called to set up another appointment. The second salesman came out over a week ago and promised a 3D drawing and a estimate by Tuesday or Wednesday. Again I haven't heard back from him. He ignored both my email and text message. Not sure what is going on, however, it has been clear that they are uninterested in my Black business. We hired Premier Gulf Coast to build us our dream pool. Their sales guy, Hunter, painted a rosy picture of the process and sold us whatever we asked for. As soon as we signed our contract and paid the deposit on dig day, the nightmare of delays, mistakes, lies, and us having to fight for everything we were promised began. We trusted these guys with a very high end pool build that cost us top dollar. We've been sorely disappointed. Our 3 month build took a year. They used a delay in permitting as an excuse for slow start up, but the county confirmed the permit had been approved long before. They built our tanning ledge the wrong depth not only once, but twice. They fired our site supervisor, Brett, finally, and promised us white glove treatment through the finish, but we have yet to see the level of customer service in any way. read more

This is the WORST pool company. The guy came out to the house, no mask, and then said I had to follow him around the yard. I declined and he proceeded to tell me he had to reschedule me and that I "wasn't a good fit!" Not only was that a stupid thing for him to say, but here, during a pandemic, is this idiot demanding that I follow him around my yard! I then called the manager who was JUST AS BAD. Don't fall prey to this company like we did! The smooth talking salesman had us believing we could have the dig start in a matter of days. He picked up our signed contract on 5/31 and it wasn't turned in to the county until who knows when (was told about 10 days to get the paperwork back to get started). We didn't have our pre-dig checklist done until 6/25, called on 6/30 to set the dig date for 7/7! Once they started, we found out they didn't even have the drawings they were waiting all that time for! Our on site manager got fired and someone else on the project quit, all within days of each other. We felt like they jumped on things right away and assured us there would be no delays. I STILL don't have plaster in my pool. What we do have is a VERY EXPENSIVE frog pond! One of the "owners" is being passive aggressive with me b/c I am sick of their crap! Keep in mind there were not a lot of weather delays during this process either. Just poor planning and less than expected quality of workmanship. The tile and waterfall feature have had to be redone, electrical conduit redone, travertine foundation was washing away....I have pictures, dates and text messages to back up everything I am saying. Thank goodness my husband works from home and has been able to take care of managing this project himself. Today,22 Sept 2020, our plaster was sprayed in. Of course I should have known it wouldn't be right. The color is exactly what was on the contract, but it was NOT what we were led to believe it would look like. At all. I hate it. I am so disappointed. All of our hard work and money saved...they don't care. They are liars and unprofessional and do NOT deliver what they say they will, no matter how responsive they are to you in the beginning. Once you sign the contract, you can forget anything going as planned. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone! Ever. read more
