Instructions were very clear prior to my appointment, check in was fast and friendly, and even though they were very busy, there was ample seating in the waiting area. Most times when you have to drink oral contrast, if it's not the liquid chalk, it's the nasty water reminiscent of Flint tap water. My CT called for the Flint water, but you have the option of either lemonade or fruit punch flavoring. I opted for the fruit punch and it actually did a great job of covering up 64 ounces of foulness. Since I was able to get the contrast down in a flash, I didn't have to wait that long for my CT. The tech that took me back also took care of getting my IV started. This guy is an absolute pro! Even with a large bore needle and nothing more than contrast to drink, he found a juicy vein and got a perfect, pain free stick on the first try. This man needs a raise! The tech that performed the CT was also great. Even though they were very busy, he was able to get my scan done quickly without me ever feeling rushed. Everyone involved was very friendly and super professional. If I need another scan in the future, I would certainly have no issue coming back here.

I am always greeted with a warm smile and usually a laugh because I'm usually late, but I have never felt rushed or like I was just a number to them they take an interest in me. my overall health and even my family. The guy who takes xrays is not real personable. And I really tried, believe me. The waiting area, to me smelled like a veternarian's waiting room. Cat urine and dog sweat!!! Phew! Also, it could use a good sweep or vacuum!! The little nurse is really sweet. It's kinda close quarters in there, very narrow hallways. On my second visit the office visit, the office mgr or gate keeper, argued with my husband and myself about what I should pay for a co-pay. She called my insurance while we were there but the way she worded her question it was twisted in her favor. The thing is they bill your insurance under the clinic's ID instead of the Nurse Practioner's ID that takes care of you. That way they can get the higher co-pay from you. Every 2-3 weeks you come on you are out your highest co-pay to them when you are just seeing a Nurse Practitioner. This clinic is never very busy and I guess I now know why. I'm late to figure it out. This is a rip off.

We arrived at 6:27 already feeling bad about the late need only to be greeted by two girls who basically told me I was not going to be seen and I should have called ahead.... Confused I stated we did call and both told me "well you didn't speak to any of us." The second girl informs me that they are closing and the Practitioner on duty said he isn't taking anymore patients. (Remember this is all happening with my daughter sitting in a chair holding her broken wrist... ) I explained again that I had talked to someone and they said "Oh you must have call Mt Juliet." No I definitely called the MURFREESBORO number.... I was met with a shrug at this point and informed I would have to seek care somewhere else..... We went to Gateway Urgent Care and confirm the broken bone but had to get a referral over to TOA ‍ Now here is the explanation of why this happens. At 5pm the answering service no longer routes calls so they all go to the Mt Juliet location. I was told well the girl who answered the phone must have forgotten the time and didn't ask me what location I was calling for. Well this seems to be problem number one... Problem two was these obviously annoyed employees in Murfreesboro that treated me like I was insane and I had made the mistake, and did nothing but shrug and say sorry we can't help the doctor is done for the day. If you know that I didn't "call" Mt Juliet but rather that I was routed there it would have been nice if you maybe checked with them to find out if they did tell me I would be taken care of if I reach the office before close. Anyway... first impressions are everything I guess this Murfreesboro office isn't very good at them ‍

Lydia came in very monotone and dismissive. She passed me off the Vandy Autonomics Clinic which I had already been to and was gaslit. The Boro Clinic's website about "a safe place from medical gaslighting" is a joke. She wrote me 4 prescriptions. This is NOW August 21, 2024 and I STILL do not have the prescriptions. She had me on a follow up tele-med visit on August 15, 2024 and she seemed shocked "Macy" hasn't done her job after repeatedly being told. She STILL hasn't got the job done. They also sent me a bill and didn't bill insurance as they agreed to. They are a disaster office and I do not recommend the waste of time and hope of being heard.

TDLR: Dropped by clinic for asking EDS Facebook support group for PCP recommendations…read more If you are new to EDS, or have a more mild/straightforward case then the Boro clinic might be a good fit for you. However, as a clinic that has positioned themselves as the main source for EDS patients in Nashville, I am incredibly disappointed in their quality of care and general lack of compassion. I was very hopeful, and my initial appointments with Lydia seemed to be going in a great direction. After my first appointment, we ran into some issues with the referrals Lydia sent out, as many clinics were no longer seeing EDS patients or not seeing new patients period. When my symptoms rapidly began to increase in severity and frequency, Lydia seemed to grow more dismissive and disinterested in finding solutions. I was struggling with some scary symptoms, but when I reached out to Lydia for advice I felt fairly dismissed. She would usually recommend I go to the ER, which rarely led to answers. This came to a head when I had some X-Ray imaging done to investigate instability in my spine because of daily vomiting, syncope, vertigo, and dizziness. I had made sure to get a copy of my images and I looked at them myself at home. I was appalled at my neck extension, and so were several medical professionals I am friends and family with. But when I met with Lydia for a follow up, she told me all my imaging was normal. I asked her if she had seen the images herself, and she said no they do not receive images just the report from the radiologist. Personally, I believe that someone who specializes in EDS should know that most radiologists will only note acute issues, and will not catch complications caused by EDS. It was alarming to me that she was so comfortable with not seeing the images for herself or even having the images seen by a specialist. I had to text her the images myself and ask for a referral to someone who understands what to look for. I made a post about this on my TikTok, but made sure to not name the Boro clinic or Lydia as that wasn't the main focus of the video. It was to encourage other EDS patients to request copies of their images for their own records to save time and energy in their diagnostic journeys. this is important for later in the story. Due to delayed and outdated referrals, the growing apathy, and then being surprised to see that my radiology report failed to describe the severity of my neck extension, I lost faith in the Boro clinic and Lydia's ability to manage my case. I planned to see Lydia while I searched for a new PCP, as I am still struggling with daily emergency symptoms. I made a post in the local facebook support group, asking for PCP recommendations (review attached), and I specifically went out of my way to say that the Boro clinic is a fantastic facility, i was looking for a new PCP. Within 5-10 minutes Lydia had commented a name (she was the first person to comment) and wrote me a letter saying that I was dismissed from the practice as they "Did not feel safe with me." Personally, I do not understand how a physician would be comfortable leaving a patient without specialized care for simply asking others in the community for PCP recommendations. It feels as though they retaliate against patients that express dissatisfaction in virtual communities. I did not even express explicit dissatisfaction, but it seems like they deeply rely on the virtual EDS community for patients and will dismiss patients that say anything that's not glowingly positive. My video on the x-rays did receive some attention, but I did not name my PCP or even focus on our appointment in the video. I worry that because the video got traction, and folks were frustrated on my behalf, that could have been what is creating the "unsafe" feeling. Very disappointing to see someone position themselves as a "safe place" for EDS patients on the condition that they stay silent.

With a small child, we have needed their services at odd hours and they have always returned our calls to save the day. My first visit was with his PA, Cassidy Crawford, and she was fantastic. I saw Dr. Zane Cooke for the first time yesterday and was completely impressed. Dr. Cooke spoke with me about my lab results in a sincere, unhurried manner. We discussed my medical history, and he genuinely seemed to care. Dr. Cooke is a credit to his profession. I also want to mention his nurse (I feel bad that I do not recall her name). She was professional, nice, and efficient. So glad my daughter suggested him.

I would recommend everyone stay away from MMC…read more I've been battling with both their billing department and my doctor's office over a bill for nearly five years after a procedure. They are now trying to charge me $300, even though I never received a bill during that time--either through the patient portal or by mail. I don't understand how a patient can be billed five years later with no prior notice. I asked if they would waive the balance since it was never communicated to me, especially considering that I have always paid every other bill I received. Every other balance has been paid timely. They refused. To make matters worse, my doctor's office is now refusing to see me until the balance is paid. As a result, I can't get a medication refill or a procedure that I need. I've spoken with both the billing department and my doctor's office multiple times, but instead of helping resolve the issue, each department just passes me to someone else. No one takes ownership, and nothing gets resolved. I'm exhausted from being given the runaround. Based on my experience, MMC's billing practices and lack of communication have been extremely disappointing, and I cannot recommend them.
