I went to 18/8 last week to get my hair cut, my hairstylists name was Brie. I asked her for a…read moremodern mullet but to leave the sides a bit longer than a buzz, she told me she had no idea what I was talking about. Apparently she's never heard of a modern mullet. After 15 minutes she said she was done and it didn't look great so I asked her to take some more off. she does, and I get up and leave with an ok haircut. Until later when I get home I realize the left side of my hair is at least a few centimeters longer than the right. She also cut less off the top of my left side. I had a haircut with Brie about a year ago and I got a much better haircut than now. Seems like she rushed my cut to get me out of there. i Paid $65 not including tip for a great clips haircut. The place is nice, but I am very dissatisfied and will not be returning. Come here if you want a waste of money.

He also didn't ask for my name/age/address/birthday etc to enter into a computer. Dave's is a classic barber shop that's apparently been in the family for two generation. It has all the classic barber shop stuff around, like straight razors, "unbreakable" combs, and bottles of bay rum that look like they actually get used. The walls are covered with eclectic... stuff. Old hunting decoys, fishing knives. Guy stuff. It looks kind of like a man cave, which is just fine by me. I had the opportunity to shoot the shit with Dave for a while. Turns out, they don't take plastic and I didn't have any cash or a check book on me. My wife dropped me off, so I had to wait for her to come back with some cash. She was in a store and didn't get my calls. Dave kept the place open for me (they close at 6:00 on weekdays) and we both waited for over a half hour, talking about sports, hunting, junk scavenging, you know, stuff you expect to talk to your barber about. I apologized for keeping him, but Dave was very welcoming and didn't want me to worry. (Almost) anyone can cut hair, but it's pretty clear that Dave wants repeat customers and is willing to work for it.

I wanted to let them know I couldn't wait as I had another appointment I needed to be at, but since I was apparently a ghost, I left. I tried texting them back but that didn't work. I got a text stating I was on deck, a half hour after I was schedule. Not a way to keep a customer.
