I don't usually write reviews but I feel compelled to after getting my hair cut by Nicole C. at 18/8. She is an absolutely beautiful human inside and out first, and an amazing stylist second. I am naturally awkward around people and she immediately greeted me with a warm smile and a gentle and reassuring attitude. It had been a couple months since getting my hair cut last and I wasn't sure what style I wanted. In the end, I let Nicole do her thing and use her professional expertise and talent to do what she thought would look best. Boy was I glad that I let her take control! I love my new cut and style! She is SO down to earth, takes her time, and pays incredibly close attention to detail. Ultimately, Nicole gives you the attention that you deserve when deciding to get a cut from a professional stylist. I don't normally write a review, but this Salon is worth getting out of my normal habits of just reading the reviews. I first found 18/8 when I started working in Maple Grove and had been doing some google searches for quality men's haircuts. Over the years I have been to numerous "salons" and I can tell you I was happy with maybe 1 out of 10 haircuts I would receive. I got to the point where I bought an electric trimmer and attempted to cut my own hair for a short while. As you can probably guess, this doesn't exactly work out too well.. So to my rescue has been 18/8. I have experienced a number of stylist at the Maple Grove location, but I would highly recommend both Paula and Stephanie!! They both make you feel so comfortable sitting in the chair with both conversation, and the ability to walk you through what you want out of your haircut. From styling tips to products to use, the knowledge they have in their profession is top notch. I can't say I would trust anyone else now with cutting my hair. read more

An underwhelming experience for what they promise. The location is nice and clean, but the skill of the stylist I received was not above and beyond anywhere I have experienced at half the cost. Alaira came across as cold and did not provide an enjoyable experience. It may be a worthwhile experience with other stylists, but I would not take another chance, especially at the price she charged (supposedly one of their better stylists). Update/Edit: Upgraded from 2 to 4 stars. The owners have shown that they care about the experiences of the guests and pay attention. While I may have had a bad experience with a stylist, the owners have worked to make things right and recommend other stylists that may be a better fit, showing they care for their employees and know their abilities. I brought my dad here for father's day as a treat. It was both our first time trying this place. The level of service the staff showed was over the top. We were offered drinks as soon as we entered the place. We were given robes to change into so that our shirts won't get dirty. I had Paula assigned to me. She was the best. She asked me what I wanted done and gave great suggestions as well. She did a fantastic job with my haircut and gave tips on how to maintain my styling because I had very fine hair. She also did an awesome job with the massage and facials. My dad also enjoyed the whole experience. He said he felt really pampered. I absolutely recommend trying it out. read more

I started going to 18-8 when I grew tired of haircuts falling short of my expectations. I've seen Cody twice now and both times he has done an amazing job. I didn't really know how to describe exactly what I wanted, but he was able to ask me questions about what I liked/disliked and I came out with the best haircut I have had in years! What I appreciate the most - Cody is a master at fading. No more looking like a lego man where the hair piece was just stuck onto my head. Yes, the haircuts are a little more expensive than some other alternatives but I will gladly pay slightly more to get the much better haircut at 18-8. read more

I have been going to 18:8 for almost 2 years now. My stylist over this time has been Chloe F. She has an incredible talent for cutting hair. I have been doing a bald fade shorter hair cut for some time now, and she has exceeded my expectations. Her attention to detail is probably my favorite! She makes sure every single time that I am happy with my hair when I leave. Chloe is so much fun to connect with and is a joy to visit. I look forward to every haircut appointment as I like to get one every 3 weeks or so. Chloe is the best and I will continue to schedule my appointments with her. read more

My stylist Cody was a true professional, and I received one of the best haircuts that I have even had. 18/8 is truly above and beyond any other men's salon that I have ever been to. When I first went to 18/8 it was on a whim, I need a hair cut badly and they had openings. I set up an appointment online the night before and they were ready for me when I came in. The staff is always so polite and well mannered, really taking care of you as soon as you step through the doors. Now, I have been SPOILED, not only because of the hot towels, massage or the complementary beverage but because Stephanie has a real gift in understanding what YOU want and making it happen. I've gotten my haircut three times now and I love this place. The atmosphere is super upscale, but the pricing isn't. They always off you something to drink and the chairs are comfortable and private. Everyone is very friendly. Cody cuts my hair and always does a great job, even when I'm not exactly sure what I want. He is very thorough and great with the details of my haircut. I never leave without loving it. Oh! Also, their online reservation system is fantastic. Seriously, go see Cody, he'll fix that tangled mess and make you look and feel like a million bucks. read more

I have gone in several times for a beard trim and style with Nicole C. I have to say I leave with an amazing feeling of self confidence. I would rate higher than five stars if I could. I really would also like to give the highest review of another person at the salon. Xander that works the front desk is really an amazing person as well. Went to Maple Grove salon and saw Alaira. Horrible experience!!! She has the personality of a crabby old man. What is that all about????! I have never had such a bad vibe from someone- especially in this industry! She barley spoke and looked so mad the entire time. By far my favorite! Been to various barbers and salons over the years and 18|8 is by far the best experience I've ever had. Cody has been my stylist thusfar, and I highly reccomend him (I'm sure the whole team is great). He is detailed, listens to feedback, and skilled. I have never found a better salon. I feel so cared for when I walk in there. The staff are friendly and my girl Paula does the perfect job for my hair every time. She is the coolest lady you could ask for, very sweet and down to earth. My day is improved from the minute I walk into the salon and the rest of the day I'm walking on air with my new do. I was very happy with 18/8 Men's Salon. I brought my 17 year old son there because he wanted to change his hair style. He told Cody to do what ever he felt would look good. My son came out looking amazing. He was thrilled with his new style and everyone is raving about how good he looks. Needed a last minute haircut before a wedding and I flew in from NJ so I went to Yelp for a recommendation. Read a lot of horror stories in the area and it seemed like 18|8 was the best. The staff was very kind and squeezed me in even though they were pretty booked. The waiting area had comfy chairs and complimentary drinks. I made an appointment for a men's facial with Cody and the first thing that happens is I get stuck in traffic and arrive an hour late. The salon and he were more then accommodating and still got me in. The salon is very nice. Cody was great. He took me through every step of what he was doing. The best part were the warm towels and I even got a hand massage. Definitely ask for a men's facial from Cody, when you go in. read more

There is no language on this earth that can accurately describe how great this place is! Everytime I come here, I am welcomed at the door, offered a cold beverage and given a stellar haircut.
