The service manager guided me to what would possibly be needed. the right person he told us was his mechanic for RVs, who knows all about freight liner Chasis was Les., who went to freightliner school in Gaffney SC. Les was top notch on his workmanship and the most courtesy guy we have ever met. We live in Florida but when we leave Florida and head north, this is the place to go for service. They refused to work on my 2013 freightliner cascadia with 1.1million miles, they said because it has to many miles on it. And the issue I'm having is something that can only be fixed by the dealer. I asked them what am I suppose to do then? And they didn't have an answer for me. So I guess according to this freightliner dealer if you have one of their trucks that's over 10yrs old with over 1 million miles and you need service that only a Freightliner can work on because they don't sell that software to mom and pop shops then I guess your supposed to just throw your truck in the dumpster and by a new one read more

We brought our 2018 Tiffin Pheaton in while on a trip due to a Def sensor light coming on. We stayed in their parking lot overnight. There was a nice guard that patrolled the area. This morning they pulled in our motorhome and promptly found the problem. A big shoutout to Tyson for giving us stellar service - he communicated with us and was very nice! Upon leaving Chattanooga after three days of sightseeing, our check engine light came on in our RV. We called the 24/7 Freightliner customer service number, and they helped us find the error code. We were directed to the nearest Freightliner authorized repair dealer, premier truck group ...praise God it was only 9 miles away! They only have one RV tech, Les, and he was able to diagnosis the issue within an hour. Had to overnight a part, so we headed to a nearby RV Park. Back there at 10 am and no part! Apparently Fedex didn't pick up the shipment. So, Les was able to call a place in Chattanooga that sells Cummings parts as a substitute. They got a tech to drive and pick it up. Les got the repair made, and we were back on the road by 5pm. Shout out to Les for all of his technical expertise and assistance, in getting another part quickly that will be a better fix in the long run. Premier Truck is professional, clean lounge and restroom areas, and also has a nice and friendly office staff. Thank you and Merry Christmas! read more

The clutch repair on our 2009 Cascadia went smoothly until it came time to settle the bill. A small amount of other unrelated work (warranty work left over from another dealership's repair) was added in the service order. It too appeared in the charges despite the Service Manager's confident assurance they would call to arrange clearance from the other dealership for that work to be done at no charge since it was on warranty. They couldn't seem to get a hold of anyone (guess their phone dialing fingers were broken) and refused to release the truck, essentially held it in ransom until this warranty work was paid for, all while dishing out hours and hours of bogus excuses. THE RUN AROUND and LIES were amazingly unprofessional, not to mention the unnecessary downtime it caused. So we eventually paid the bloated bill and terminated all future use of this dealership. They lost one satisfied customer who was happy to pay over two grand for legitimate work over $139.10 of warranty work because they couldn't bother to make the call they SAID THEY WOULD MAKE and our service agreement stipulated they make. Any wonder why Freightliner is in trouble???? IMMEDIATE UPDATE: To add insult to injury, the problem the warranty work was to repair still exists --- AS IF THE WARRANTY WORK WAS NEVER DONE. Unbelievable! NINETEEN HOURS LATER, the warranty work is done, the bogus charge was credited back to us but any downtime was a total loss, Still pissed, I called the District Manager, Jeff Lane. What an idiot! Mr. Lane made it clear he could not care less. According to him whatever shake down a dealership pulls is okay --- "they are an independent franchise". As if we all don't know that the franchise made sure to cost us more in downtime loss than the bogus charge was while corporate looks the other way. Riiiiiiiiiiiight. Wonder what Germany thinks of that? Just the American way of doing business?? From now on, we're spreading the word to all independent O/O's and small fleets: buy anything else since your truck will prove merely a great way to earn Freightliner some quick cash, legitimately or otherwise. Do not use Chattanooga Freightliner unless you enjoy being taken to the cleaners. UPDATE: Spoke with General Manager who responded to a BBB complaint we made. After nine yards of 'corporate speak' ever so patiently explaining a whole lot of junk we already knew, Darryl Dyer then said he was sorry while adamantly insisting that no scamming was involved. When I asked if he understood that is exactly what someone scamming would do, he had nothing else to say. Precisely as expected. ANOTHER UPDATE: These scammers also tried to bill the carrier we are leased on to for the repair work WE PAID FOR. All while CEO Darrly Dyer is claiming they don't double dip. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. LOL Run from these people! read more

I would walk before I ever let Freightliner of Chattanooga repair another of my trucks again. Not only are their prices for parts and service excessive but I can't tell any tangible effort to get the truck out of the shop; it takes twice as long as it should if they care about their customer's needs. I can make that statement because I operate one of the largest and oldest automotive repair facilities in my market; but not the larger trucks. The real kicker is when their sorry check processing service can't process the check you gave your driver and they will not consider the years of business you have done with them without the first problem. Time to look for a new vendor that has at least 1% of customer appreciation. read more

They have had my Sprinter for 1.5 weeks now. Took it in for 10,000 mile service. Said it needed a glo plug so authorized it to be replaced. Then it needed a Air mass sensor, etc... $2200.00 later was told ready to pick up(They billed $2200.00 twice). When tech went to pick it up it would still not work correctly. They then said part would be there Saturday and would be fixed. Tuesday at 6:00PM they finally fixed it. Billed me another $549.16. Tech went to pick it up today and now the belt tensioner is bad on it. Another $498.59???? and I can only hope it will be fixed this time. I spoke to the Foreman Bill about it and his comments was; "well it needs it". How can they test drive a vehicle and it be ok but when my tech gets in it again it needs repair. He didn't even drive it, just started it up. If I "EVER" get the sprinter back it will "NEVER" be serviced by them again. read more

Had problems with our Sprinter RV. Checked in at 7:30 am, we were promised 2 hour diagnosis and cost estimate. Had to call at 10 am, were told to call back. Called at 11 am, where told they are working on the estimate and they would call us back. Called back at 1 pm, where told person is out to lunch. Called again - were told they now working on it. Went over at 6 pm and found out there were out for a test drive. Work on the unit was professional, customer service needs improvement. Overall they have been able to help us, offered free coffee and they have nice waiting rooms. read more
