The dentist told me to go to a clinic to get antibiotics since this is a new dentist for me and they cannot prescribe without seeing me first. Thankfully I remembered the new sign I saw across from my complex for Concentra! I called and Lisa was extremely personable and helpful. She answered my questions and made me excited to go! I walked over from my home, filled out some paper work and waited about 25 minutes in the waiting room. Once I got back to the exam room, the nurse, I feel terrible because I don't remember her name, was very sweet and made me feel very comfortable. She took my temp and my blood pressure and told me the doctor would be in soon. She wasn't lying cause Jovana pretty much walked right in after and we all laughed about how I was there on my birthday with a toothache. ‍ Jovana was a pleasure. Sweet, kind, and to the point. She told me what she was going to prescribe me, explained the dosage and said she was going to electronically send it to the Publix right next door so it would be there immediately. I don't think I spent more than 7 minutes in that room. So amazing! Needless to say, I got in, checked, got my meds and was back home in UNDER AN HOUR and I WAS WALKING. No one explained anything until I asked. After a family emergency caused me to miss the two-day follow-up, the receptionist -- rude, unprofessional, and careless -- refused to help and said I had to redo everything. They were rough during the exam and even left bruises on me. I paid $120 and had to fight just to get $80 back. If I had her name, I would report them to the health department in a heartbeat. I made a call to MD Now Urgent Care to see if my daughter can be seen and to have a diagnosis and treatment for the sore throat. The lady on the phone was pleasant and told me that I can bring her in, no appointment necessary. We arrived at MD Now within a few minutes and happened to be the only ones there. The waiting area was large with adequate seating. After greeting the receptionist I was told to scan a QR code to fill out a form. Within 10-15 minutes my daughter was called in by the nurse where she had her weight and blood pressure taken...then a few minutes after the doctor came in. After my daughter explained to the doctor about the symptoms she was having with the sore throat, the doctor did a brief physical examination then had the nurse conduct a strep test, which came out negative...but after a finger stick blood test, she did test positive for mononucleosis. The doctor informed us that mononucleosis was not serious and should go away on its own. He advised my daughter to rest, take Motrin for the pain, and be on a liquid diet until she's able to eat solid foods. He also gave her a doctor's note for school. That's it, we was good to go. We was probably there for about an hour. That's the quickest I ever left a doctor's office.

Went to the Midland website to book appt as new patient and was forced to use their 3rd party booking system to give all my personal information and medical information. I received confirmation by the system as well as Midland that the appt was confirmed and received updates/reminders for the appt right up to the appt time. When I arrived in the office I was told there is no appt for me and they don't have my paperwork. After insisting that I have confirmation and showing it, the Manager came over and told that they do have the paperwork, but she just received it yesterday from their system. I filled it out several days prior - not really my problem and no one contacted me to say there was a problem, which is why I took time off work to go to the appt. The manager was more interested in blaming me and arguing and when I was begging for resolution and to see someone else, she thought it was appropriate to tell me she could get me in at 1:30 but I wasn't listening to her so now she felt I wasn't a fit for the office! Really, you're supposed to be here for the patients' well-being and your office made mistakes, made me believe I had a confirmed appt, but now you're going to be spiteful and deny me to see the doctor? The receptionist even had enough decency and humanity to see this was wrong, she said we'll rebook you with a different doctor for 1:30pm. I go out to my car and cancel some meetings to return to Midway at 1:30pm. I get a call ten minutes later saying the higher up manager Angelica feels that I'm not a fit for this Medical Center and they are cancelling the second appt. I just broke down and cried at this moment because I'm new to the area and a have had a difficult time finding a doctor that was going to be a gay men's health doctor/advocate so I had high hopes for this office and have several health issues that need to be addressed and waited almost a week for the appt only to be met with the most unprofessional, erratic, mean, and cold staff. With the exception of the receptionist, it's frightening these individuals are in healthcare! I would NOT recommend this Medical Center at all especially if you're expecting a caring compassionate team, this isn't it at all. If the Doctors and Providers approve of this treatment to patients before they're even seen, then reasonably no one is a fit for this Medical Center!

They were also unable to do an ex-ray because that technician was absent or the machine was broken (I didn't really pay much attention to the excuse.) When I left the office, she was at the employees parking area shmoozing with her husband (?) and child. Then I understood why I was rushed and dismissed so quickly. So she could return to her family visit. Very unprofessional. I want my $65 dollar copayment refunded. Ha! Good luck! Zero stars if the site would allow me to.
