They explained everything in great detail and my sweet Roxy is home tonight recuperating. Thank you again to the staff and the Dr. for taking such good care of Roxy. I strongly recommend this office. There prices were also very reasonable.

Made an appoint at RAC for a follow up and let Dr Corsbie know I was dissatisfied with the front staff, she told me she would have a talk with the owners. Yesterday I noticed Lexi acting strangely and she had peed in the house, thats not her, urine was off color and she was going quite often, so I suspected a UTI, called RAC for an appointment, another 24 hour wait. Back to the Emergency Hospital, as suspected, she had a UTI, I explained to the vet what had happened and was told it was a good thing I brought her in, quite painful. He also stated that if he was her vet he would have fit her in. After researching the internet, it said an animal should be seen by a vet immediately if a UTI is suspected. After explaining what was going on to the person on the phone and telling her I was not going to wait another day and I was taking her to the Emergency hospital, her reply, have a nice day. So, after using RAC for 35 + years, I am done with the excessive appointment ( overbooking) wait time, huge turnover on the front desk, and the ditz, who should have asked the Dr if my dog should have been seen, instead of getting " have a nice day".

If I could post 0 Stars, I would…read more My 11-year-old Yorkie was coughing and Island Vet told me his x-ray showed the same results as those from several months before at the emergency clinic -- Bronchitis. I was told to leave him for a breathing treatment and to pick him up later. When asked, Albuterol was mentioned as the treatment, and I was told I could he would also be sent home with a prescription for Albuterol. However, he was much worse when I picked him up. (The Vet Tech, not the Vet, revealed my dog was not treated with Albuterol but instead placed in an oxygen chamber, which made him oxygen-dependent, but they couldn't keep him overnight because they closed. Vet Tech advised me to take him to the overnight Emergency Clinic because he wouldn't survive the night at home. She said the Vet would call the clinic and advise them of his condition. The Vet did not explain any of the above. I was shocked to see my dog worse off than when I left him.) I regret ever agreeing to drop him off for a "breathing treatment of Albuterol" typically used for Asthma and Bronchitis" that was never used, especially since he was placed in an oxygen chamber, instead, without my knowledge. I rushed him to the clinic after dropping him off. The emergency clinic kept him for several nights in an oxygen chamber with treatments of Morphine and Viagra to open his lungs. I visited him before and after work and on my lunch breaks. He was alert and seemed better than when I'd picked him up from Island Vet, but his breathing was still labored. The Emergency Hospital called me three days later, on Friday morning, to inform me to hurry over because Prince was dying. I rushed over, but the rain and traffic turned the 10-minute drive into almost 20, and he was gone before I arrived. My precious little Prince Charming was gone. Island Veterinarian should have advised me they would be placing him in an oxygen chamber that would render him dependent on oxygen instead of on the Albuterol treatment they promised to give him "in the back" which would "take a while so that I'd have to drop him off and pick him up later." Their diagnosis to me was "Bronchitis," while the Emergency Animal Hospital's diagnosis was "Pulmonary Hypertension." Either the Island Veterinarian Doctor lied to me about his condition, or she didn't know what she was doing. The Vet Tech at Island Hospital was more communicative and direct. She said that once placed in an oxygen chamber, a dog would become oxygen-dependent and wouldn't be able to breathe on his own. Oxygen for Bronchitis? The Vet was going to write a script for Albuterol for me to go home with him in this condition? He was worse when I picked him up than he was when I dropped him off! Watch the attached video of how he looked when I picked him up before taking him to Emergency clinic and how he slightly improved at the clinic. Island Vet made him worse! Instead of telling me he was dying, she was going to prescribe Albuterol for his trip home. The Vet Tech knew better or was more forthcoming. She told me he would die at home but may have a chance at the Emergency Vet. I will never take any future pet to Island Veterinarian. I lost my precious companion of 11 years to a Veterinarian's bad treatment and lack of communication that the Emergency Vet tried to fix! I am inconsolably heartbroken. This Vet lied to me or realized she'd misdiagnosed him and never communicated the change in treatment plan, knowing he would die, and yet perpetuated the lie by saying she was writing me a script for Bronchitis medicine to give him at home. Either the Vet Tech was more knowledgeable than the Veterinarian, or the Veterinarian shared the truth with the staff but lied to me. Either way, my precious little dog is gone due to negligence and lack of communication by the Island Veterinarian on staff that day, someone I'd not seen before. The Emergency Clinic was basically a Hospice for three days, and I didn't get the chance to say goodbye. My dog is gone. The sympathy card received from Island Veterinarian signed by the entire staff was no consolation after their Veterinarian killed my dog.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Rockledge Specialty & Emergency Hospital and the care…read morethey have given our baby cat, Eddie!!! His journey has NOT been simple, and they have supported us medically and emotionally every step of the way. Eddie came in very sick, and instead of guessing or rushing, the team took a very thoughtful and thorough approach. He had so many things done, including staying overnight multiple times, an echocardiogram, ultrasounds, blood work, PCV checks, and multiple rounds of testing to try to understand what was happening. It was all soooo confusing as to what was wrong with him, but the team never gave up. They carefully ruled things out, explained results clearly, and never made us feel rushed or like our questions were a burden. Eventually, the doctors shared that Eddie might be facing FIP or lymphoma which was so scary to hear - but they walked us through what that meant, what treatment options existed, and what to expect. They were honest, compassionate, and hopeful in all the right ways. We had the FIP medication overnighted and started it immediately, and have seen amazing results! This would not have been possible without Dr. Smith's intellect and dedication. Along the way, the staff constantly reminded us how much they loved Eddie and how sweet he is, which meant so much especially on the hard days. He has always been treated like a loved patient, not just "another cat." We were especially touched when Dr. Smith came in during his Thanksgiving break to care for Eddie when he needed treatment. That kind of commitment is rare, and we will never forget it!! Today, Eddie is gaining weight, healing, and slowly getting stronger, and we truly believe we wouldn't be here without the careful, dedicated care from this hospital. We are deeply grateful for the doctors, technicians, and staff at this hospital. If you are looking for a veterinary team that combines outstanding medical knowledge with genuine compassion and heart, this is the place to go!!! Thank you to everyone who works there! Love EDDIE, Mom Frankie, & Dad Joe
