Premier Vision of Dallas is AMAZING! I love Dr. Allen and let me tell you why. She is a very down to earth person. She is a humbled soul and a caring person. She makes you feel comfortable. Always there to answer any questions or concerns that you may have. I enjoy talking about travel with her. She takes the time to get to know you. She feels like extended family. As I have been coming to her for years. The staff is very pleasant. Customer Service is always good. The office is nicely decorated. It's cozy and comfortable and is located in a great location. They don't try and upsell. I appreciate this as I have to watch my spending. The office has a great assortment of glasses and brands to choose from. I have my whole family coming to her. Very argumentative and not very understanding - and I have heart issues. I thought they were great until they fired me as a client. Who does that? Said I told them they lied, and I never did. I got upset when my glasses were not what I ordered, and they wanted to charge me to fix them. Then said no charge, and then when I picked them up they gave me a letter that said I wasn't welcome there anymore. I'm so upset. read more

I've needed vision correction for thirty years of my life, and I have to say that Dr. Allan is one of the best - if not the best - optometrists/ophthalmologists I've ever had. She listens, she provides different options (allowing me to experiment with new contacts), and her team was really helpful to me even when I moved out of state. I had been going to Dr. Allen for over 5 years. Until last year, I was always treated well. Dr. Allen is the best optometrist I have ever had. Her staff is incompetent. They ordered the WRONG contact lenses. This was after they failed to follow up with me after I was given a trial pair of lenses. I had to call them to give them my feedback, and then I was told that the person who was supposed to be working with me had to call me back. He didn't! I waited and waited, and then I went to the office to order my lenses. I sat and waited for a long time before someone helped me. I paid for my lenses and left. When I realized that I got the wrong lenses, I tried to get help. I had to wait until Monday to get help, and then I was told by Dr. Allen that she would write me a check for the money I spent from my HSA account, and that she would copy my records to a USB thumb drive, and I could just order my lenses myself. Bye. Nice knowing you. F*ck off! She told me that she recently lost a lot of experienced staff. So, instead of making this right, and training her staff, she threw me under the bus, and gave me a check! WTF am I supposed to do with a check? Why couldn't she just refund the money back to my HSA? Now, I'm stuck having to transfer that money back to the HSA so I can place my order. This is grade A horse dung! Unless you want to be treated like crap by the incompetent staff, DON'T GO HERE! read more

Normally I don't write reviews on doctors lol. BUT I fell in love with this place and this doctor! You know when you go somewhere and or meet someone you just feel immediately comfortable and cozy? That's how I felt with this place. The place is inside a tall office building, but once you actually step inside of their place it's so warm and cozy. They also serve cucumber water and Keurig coffee! (That's a nice classy touch! And I appreciate that!) The staff was pleasant and nice and warm. Dr. Karen Allen was terrific too. Warm, funny, and nice; again made you feel right at home, err I mean optometrist office haha They have high-end glasses too by the way. I love this optometrist!!! Every appointment with Dr Allen is like talking to an old friend. And the woman that helped me figure out which glasses to pick was fabulous and did not push me to purchase anything there. I usually buy my glasses online because it's cheaper and especially this year I didn't want to spend much on glasses. Instead she helped me figure out why I choose the frames I do and the proper measurements for my face. That way I can make sure the ones I order are a good size. Best experience. Dr. Allen is the best - knowledgeable, relaxed, not-pushy, and easy to talk to. I see her once a year for my annual exam - she answers all my ridiculous and random questions and takes time for casual small talk as well. I do agree with another reviewer, that the insurance covered frames aren't the best, but I always come in for my contact prescription anyway so haven't purchased from here. read more

This place does horrible business I took my Louis Vuitton frames there the lab they sent my glasses too did a terrible job left screws sticking out and change my nose pads without my consent leaving me while also taking off the metal piece of the nose pads with the LV engraving which decreases the value of my frames their customer service was awful they kept brushing me off telling me there's nothing they could do I will never be going here again ever ! Don't let them mess up your nice frames if you care about quality work read more

Dr Allen is nice however the staff rubbed me the wrong way. I was early for my appt I was fine waiting until my appt time but they decided to take back early only to ask me to go back to lobby because the 3:15 arrived late had arrived.i thought it was rude and I couldn't hide my disappointment. I had to change optometrists due to insurance, which really bummed me out, but I was really happy with Dr Karen Allen and her staff! Staff was very attentive (there were several people when I arrived) and friendly. They even remembered a lady's name when she came to pick up her glasses - granted she could have been there a million times before, but I was impressed with the personal feel of the place. The entire office was very clean and nicely decorated. They have coffee, water and magazines while you wait. Dr Karen Allen was very thorough with my eye exam and explained things in detail when I had questions. She is super nice and easy to talk to - which is one of the best parts of my experience. Other bonuses: paperless, email and text notifications, smooth process for new patients, office is easy to get to and find once you're in the building! read more

Dr. Allen is amazing. I had gone to her only one time when I contracted a bacterial eye infection which led to a corneal ulcer. This was over Thanksgiving holidays and she answered her personal phone, got me into a cornea specialist and for all intensive purposes saved my cornea. Dr. Allen has moved from eyecare & eyewear to start her practice Premier Vision of Dallas. I wrote a long raving review about her a year ago and absolutely nothing has changed. She's just as great as she was a year ago. I've been spending long hours in front of my computer and experiencing dry eyes and headaches. Dr. Allen listened to my concerns and ran a series of tests to diagnose my problem. She also provided me with options to help resolve it. The office is located in a high-rise building with plenty of parking. Dr. Allen offers a nice selection of frames and will assist in ordering contact lenses. Her staff is personable, professional and accommodating. They go above and beyond and provide rebate info when available for contact lenses. Very kind and friendly staff. My appointment was the last one of the day and so it started a little bit late (which is to be expected at that time of day). The staff chatted with me and made me very comfortable, offered me drinks and kept me updated on when my appointment would start. The doctor was extremely professional and helpful as well, she actually explained things to me as we went through the different steps of the exam. My experience was when she first moved to her location off the tollway. They said that they were "applying" for my insurance and that I could come anyway. Long story short they were not able to get a contract with my insurance until a year so I got a bill. They were out of network for me. I had to pay and that did not make me happy. They gave me my RX to get filled elsewhere. Kind of felt like a bait and switch. I con't think it was intentional and Dr Karen was friendly enough so they get a 3 not a 4. read more

I had a fantastic experience at Premier Vision! The whole staff was friendly and super helpful. I've been wearing glasses/contacts for over 20 years, and Dr. Allen is by far the most thorough and knowledgeable doctor I've encountered. I was kind of dreading my appointment, because I hate buying new glasses and I knew it was time. But I liked it here and will be back next time my eye exam is due. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and efficient. Dr. Karen Allen explained my eye exam and images well, and was also a very likable person to interact with. When it was time to select my glasses, they explained exactly what I could get through my insurance, how much it would cost out of pocket, etc. There was no guessing. They also had a great selection of stylish frames that were available through my insurance plan. Very organized and friendly office. I called the office and the mailed me a weeks worth of contacts and solution to me out of state. I was so thankful they were able to help. Terrible place! Dr. Karen Allen is sweet and it's nothing towards her. It's her staff.. the 2 ladies who order the glasses and get you fitted for them are incapable of doing their jobs correctly and don't care about what's right for the customer and how to make them happy. I've been waiting for my glasses for about 2 weeks now and I got the excuse that the holidays delayed it, which was only one day which was New Years. Then I get another call saying they're delayed because the lenses didn't pass inspection but they had my glasses if I wanted to come pick them up. So do you guys have my glasses or not? You just contradicted yourself!!! I asked them nicely to cancel the order so I can get the prescription filled somewhere else and they said they couldn't. Yes you can. If I don't have glasses in my hands or yours, you can cancel the order. I just need and want my glasses. It doesn't take that long... for crying out loud my husband got his glasses from walmart within 3 days.. 3!! I had a bad feeling about filling my prescription with this place instead of taking them somewhere else because I would've had my glasses 2 weeks ago. Feel free to visit Dr. Karen Allen because she is a sweetheart but DO NOT fill your prescription with them because you'll go weeks without glasses. read more

I've been a patient for about three years, Dr. Allen is very good and I trust her ability and skills. The staff, and I mean the entire support staff are just not that good. From reception to technicians don't expect much. Reception said when I called, we'll text you when your glasses are ready. I'd already waited 10 days. My expectations were set at 7 to 10 days. Not 7 to 10 business days. It was a call that went nowhere. Called back at the two week mark and was told we'll call the lab and see when they can ship. No proactive customer service. I had to set my appointment for the first one of the day so I didn't have to wait 45 minutes. I had made an appointment middle of the day a few months ago and waited for 45 minutes and had to leave. It's just not a well run office. When I was the first appointment of the day, I watched the staff trickle in at 9:00 AM. I'd find another place if I didn't like Dr. Allen so much. read more

I had a fantastic experience with Premiere Vision of Dallas. I was greeted immediately upon arrival and the receptionist was friendly and welcoming. The forms were easy to understand and could be completed in 2 minutes or less. The office is paperless so the forms were in page protector sleeves and signed with a dry erase marker then scanned into their system. How refreshing to stumble across a provider that cares about waste reduction and sustainability! Dr. Allen was extremely personable and well prepared. She had read through my questionnaire beforehand and was ready to roll as soon as I was invited into the exam room. She asked about my recent move to Texas, and even provided hiking trail suggestions after she learned that I was missing the outdoor recreation options readily available in my home state of Michigan. After the exam Dr. Allen introduced me to another lady to discuss insurance and payment options. It was quick and painless! She had reviewed my insurance card and let me know exactly what was covered. Next I got to select my frames. The lady was super helpful and assisted me to pick frames that complimented my features (I'm a first timer so I was a bit nervous about finding the right pair). The whole experience only last 45 minutes! I really cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Premiere Vision of Dallas. read more

I went to Dr.Allen's office to get glasses and contacts. She was very honest and did not try to up-sell me on my contacts (she actually let me know that the contacts I bought were the most expensive on the market and gave me cheaper options). I then met up with one of her staff members to get my glasses who did try to up-sell me on every possible option for glasses (tint, anti-glare, sink lenses, expensive frames). Now all these enhancements do help in their own way, but this staff member invoiced me before I had a chance to do my research. They took my card at the beginning which I assumed was for just for assurance, and then charged me while I was looking at the options. I was appalled that they had done that, but I was assured that I could get a refund if I didn't want any of the enhancements. Fast forward a year. My company changed insurance providers. I wanted to continue to go to Dr.Allen's office since they have my records. I called to see if they took my new insurance. I had the oddest conversation with this staff member. They refused to believe that I now had 'Company X' for insurance and kept on telling me that that insurance company leases out their contracts to other smaller companies and I had one of those. As informative as that was my insurance card said 'Company X' so that's all I could provide them. I just wanted to know if they took 'Company X' and after asking over and over they finally told me that yes, their office does take 'Company X'. I then set up an appointment 1 week from that day. I got a call a couple days later telling me that I wasn't covered by the insurance they had on record and it turns out they were running my OLD insurance. I was a bit irritated that they lost or forgot the insurance information I had provided, but I gave it to them again. So I'm driving to my appointment and they call me saying that I was not covered by the insurance they had on record for me. You guessed it, they were running my OLD insurance! I told them again that I had 'Company X'. When I get there they have me fill out the standard papers. They take my insurance card. I'm approached by two staff members, one who tells me that they called the insurance company and they don't have record of me, and the other who says the insurance company does have record of me, but they don't accept my insurance. I let them know that I called in advance to ask that very question, and one of them admits to answering the call, and also admits that she didn't know my insurance plan even existed. The business has so many good reviews which initially attracted me here, and the staff is very friendly, and the doctor is very informative, but their potential to mess up deters me from recommending this place. They had 1 week to tell me that my insurance wasn't accepted, but they waited until I arrived for my appointment. The staff was careless and inattentive with the information I provided them and my time. read more
