So heres the full review: After interviewing four other highly rated local contractors, JV stood out on competitive price, accuracy in anticipating job needs, flexibility in scheduling, and responsiveness. So we hired JV Handyworks for a remote repair on a condo that had a fair amount of water damage, deferred maintenance and two live in occupants. The project seemed simple, remodel floor, paint, add a some fixtures. But that, as it always does, changed. After 30 years working with other contractors, I have seen how things can get gummed up. So when it came time to do the work, I expected some entanglement, some issue. But there wasn't. Everything went smoothly, even when we ran into scope changes from mold, water damage, needing extra materials, etc. If there were any snags, JV would anticipate and correct them. If you hire JV Handyworks, l'm sure you'll be happily surprised at the high level of professionalism, excellent quality of work, real attention to important construction details, timely communication, and most of all that rare quality in the trades, thoughtfulness. We met at my home at a time that was convenient for my family even though it was after regular business hours. When we called him, our primary concern was a stucco repair and paint job that we needed for our home. He came by that night, gave us a quote and we made a deal. I informed the other bidders and I didn't look back. I am happy to say that we have no regrets. Victor and his wife were a pleasure to watch and work with. They were doing such a great job that we made additional deals before the primary work was finished. Victor did some incredible work with innovative techniques that I would expect to see at Cirque du Soleil. He painted a 20+ foot high ceiling on an arched staircase and installed a chandelier. He turned a five man job into a two person task. He made it look easy and the work came out beautifully. My job took a few weeks to complete and I worked with Victor directly, no middlemen. Not only did they fix the stucco with texture, they painted our living room with high ceilings, they painted a family room, they painted two hallways, the doors and ceilings. Then Victor and his wife repaired a ceiling fan, installed an upgraded bathroom fan, installed a chandelier on the 20 foot high ceiling and installed new ceiling lights in a family room. They also fixed and painted our baseboards which were in disarray JUST BECAUSE. . . even though it was never mentioned in the deal. They delivered on each task with flying colors. Victor does it all! Plus, he was professional, courteous, and very reasonably priced. For now on, we will be calling him first, for all of our home repairs, maintenance and upgrades. You should do the same.

We were in the tumultuous process of trying to get new carpet installed within a very tight timeframe. Every place I checked did not have the carpet that I was looking for in stock and it would NOT arrive in time --but Alex at Elite assured me that he had what I wanted in stock or he could order/get it in time, if needed. I was super impressed by the first conversation with Alex because I had already spoken to a few other carpet places and had been getting the same responses from all the others --they would need to access the house to take measurements in order to give me an accurate estimate/quote ---which is NOT easily done when you're in escrow and the house is still occupied by the current owner. Alex assured me that he already knew the measurements because he has access to an exclusive database that contains that information. They got right to work removing my old vanity, medicine cabinet and mirror. while Anthony carefully pepped the bathroom for painting, Vincent explained that he needed to enlarge the opening in the back of the new vanity to accommodate the existing plumbing. I really appreciate him taking the time to explain everything and keep me informed. I also asked if he could install a ceiling fan in my dining room, and without hesitation, he said no problem! Were there minor hiccups? Absolutely, but Chris always made sure to address them, and ultimately go out of his way to make sure we were happy and got what we wanted. We needed to changed the location of our washer and dryer connections plus turn the dryer connections from electric to gas. Rafael came and looked and gave an estimate right away, he was honest and gave a good price/quote. I told him I would give him a response that day before 5pm and we agreed to the estimate. He followed through and did an excellent job in relocating the connections. The work was done right on time. I will definitely call them again for anything else I may need done in our home. It's very hard to find an honest, reliable contractor. I take hours trying to find someone, reading the reviews, seeing the work they do...ect....so to find someone like this company was great, especially in the time we needed it.
