Terrible Experience with Texoma Roofing This was by far the…read moreworst experience I've ever had with a roofing company. I initially spoke with a woman named Michelle, who was very kind and assured me that an insurance adjuster would come out to inspect everything and possibly get the entire roof replaced. Instead, they sent a gentleman who didn't speak much English. He didn't go on the roof, didn't take any measurements, and didn't inspect anything underneath--like the boards that needed to be replaced--which is something you cannot see from an Eagle View. Michelle then said she could take measurements from Eagle View, but that would cost extra. Before I could even get a quote or see what type of roof would be used--there are about five different types, and I wasn't told which one--or what exactly would be replaced, I was expected to sign a contract. Why would I sign a contract without knowing the details? When I asked for a quote, she refused, saying it would take the guy too much time. Then, completely out of the blue, she told me they were no longer going to do my roof. What kind of company treats clients like this? I have all of this documented via text. I cannot imagine treating a customer in such a dismissive and unprofessional way.

I randomly selected a couple roofing companies from yelp and called Bret next. The response was super fast, before I finished leaving voice mail he already texted me back. He was able to come out the same day. He then arrived on time, inspected the damaged area and the entire roof and told me that my roof is still great and that he could get the damaged area patched up the same day. The price he quoted me was almost unfair, to him. Outside of his super reasonable pricing, I also detected honest feedback and passion to his work. I had a few more companies lined up that afternoon originally, I ended up not needing them to come out after I spoke to Bret. I'm very happy and thankful with the timely help he rendered, and I have no hesitation to reach out again when my roof or fence needs upgrade! I highly recommend Bret to everyone looking for roof service. You will not be disappointed.

Long version: Scenario - It's a freezing (sub 40 degree) day in North Texas and I'm out of town on a business trip with my wife, son and mother-in-law at our home in Flower Mound. Wife calls and says the heater is not kicking on. She calls an HVAC company who comes by checks the heater in the attic and says, the unit is working however there is a pipe that vents through the roof of the attic that seems clogged or bent, but they don't do those type of repairs and she would need to call a roof company. Frantically, I scour Yelp for a good review and find people glowing about Bret's service and I give him a call. It's late in the day on Friday and when I explain the scenario, he immediately sprung into action and helped us resolve the issue. I'm going to highlight multiple reasons why Bret, owner of Texas Pride Roofing and Fencing will always have my business for roof and fence needs for as long as I live in the DFW metroplex. 1. Promptness - When I called Bret although it was later in the day, he was willing to head to our home and check out the situation, getting to our home in a couple of hours due to the severity of the situation. 2. Honesty - He took photos of the situation and gave a fair assessment of the situation. In this instance he said, "I don't have all of the parts that I need now but I can get you up an running for today, and then come back next week after I'm able to get the parts when I can get to a supply shop" 3. Thorough - He was on the roof, in the attic, and investigating the situation from every angle. Shared photos of his assessment, and was descriptive about what he was doing. 4. Genuine - The first time he came to the house, he hopped on FaceTime to talk to me and make me feel at ease with him at the house with my wife and family. You can look at someone's eyes and know that they are being sincere, that is this guy 100% 5. Follow up - It took him coming to the house a few times to get the situation completed, and I had to ask him for an amount that I owed him. He wanted to make sure that I was satisfied before asking for money. A true stand up guy, good business man, and yes, the roof is fixed, the exhaust pipe repaired, and the heat is working. These are all pictures that Bret provided, the first four (4) showing the problem and the last two (2) showing the repaired duct work and exhaust/vent pipe Although this was not a typical roofing job, Bret went above and beyond to make sure our family was warm and comfortable. Thank you Bret, and Texas Pride Roofing and Fencing.

Joe went above and beyond and worked so hard for us when our insurance company was less than cooperative for us to get the new roof that we desperately needed. He was our advocate and I could genuinely tell he wanted to help us. Joe is professional, responsive, and an excellent communicator and always kept me in the loop with the entire process. My new roof was put on today and I am thrilled. It looks great and I no longer have to worry about water leaking into our home when it rains! My roof was scheduled and installed within the same week. Joe's team was punctual, efficient, and very clean. My old roof was removed and the new one was installed in 4 hours! It was amazing! My neighbor was so impressed, she is going to use them for her roof, as well. I highly recommend Joe and his team at Lankford. I would 110% use them again!

The company managed insurance communications and often excluded us from approvals, denials, or documentation regarding what work was completed. After installation, the shingles were uneven and did not lay flat. When we raised concerns, they were largely ignored. No final walkthrough or inspection was conducted, and we were not provided itemized invoices or clear documentation. An independent inspection confirmed multiple defects, including improperly installed components requiring further repairs. Repairs attempted by Fossil Ridge were unclear, unsupervised, and undocumented. Payment was repeatedly requested despite unresolved issues. We had to hire another contractor to correct these defects. Based on our experience, future customers should be extremely cautious, manage insurance claims directly, request thorough documentation, and ensure inspections and walkthroughs are completed before making final payments. The lack of quality control, transparency, and accountability made this a costly and stressful experience
