Online, I came across Yooper Shirts. Since my ordering experience was so good, I thought I'd add this review! I was impressed when I called to inquire about sizes; the customer service was really friendly via the phone and they double checked some sizes and explained the fit to me. I placed an order and my only real caveat might have been the prices at first since they were a bit above average. My order arrived very quickly to California in just a few days. The sweatshirt I received was top-notch quality and I really liked the design--these elements, high quality material and designs, are definitely the strong suits of Yooper Shirts (pardon the pun). And, I could see why they might charge a bit more too. In person, once I got to their store on my visit, I was able to visit and see many more cool items besides the sweatshirts I had purchased. I read a bit about Yooper Shirts' history and found out it's a real local gem: They apparently began in Ishpeming, (say that 3 times quickly), and, over the years, grew into printing their own merchandise for clothing and opening a retail location in downtown Marquette. I definitely support small businesses like this and the small town atmosphere they organically grow in.

We were driving on the highway adjacent to the center when a large rock undoubtedly flung from their operating unguarded lawnmower. The rock caused severe damage to my vehicle. When I called to discuss the damage, the owner was extremely rude and essentially wrote me off and hinted that I was fabricating the story. Proceeded to ask me "why isn't there grass on the highway then". I wasn't going to waste my time teaching this scholar basic physics and decided to go talk to a lawyer instead. It's amazing these people can handle the day to day operations of a business.

I called the number listed on the website and spoke with Bruce, the owner. I made a reservation for Friday night at 8:30 PM with no problem. When I arrived Bruce was very helpful and showed me how to use the sauna because I have never used one before. The sauna was exactly what you would think it would be-hot, steamy, and very relaxing. I only lasted about 30 minutes total and that was with many dunks under the cold shower. The best part? It's very inexpensive. $20 for one persom for an hour, $25 for 2 people, and then $12.50 more per person after that. I felt so relaxed after I left that I question whether not I should be driving because I felt slightly intoxicated. I will definitely be making this a part of every Marquette visit!
