IF I could choose no stars I would. For three days ( Dec 23, 24, 25 ) your Lowe's delivery truck has completely blocked my car garage leaving me trapped and unable to access my car. Because of your truck blocking my garage, I was unable to travel home to OHIO for Christmas to be with my family. Why would you purposely leave your delivery truck in front of 4 garages at our apartment complex and then completely disappear for days ? You people destroyed my Christmas in Ohio with my family and kept me trapped in my apartment here at 4421 Electra, Gwinn, Michigan. Please HELP !!!! read more

A manager, faced with righting an employee's minor keypunch error at the register, was astonishingly hostile, incompetent and either slow-witted or crooked as hell as she failed utterly to gaslight this bewildered customer into believing she had caught him in some diabolically clever sleight-of-hand grift. Bizarre occurrence yesterday in regards to a Lowes of Marquette MI delivery. We were refused delivery after having a very negative interaction with their 3rd party delivery crew ending with them refusing to deliver the appliance we paid for. The store manager stood by their decision and I asked the reason why.....Her answer "WE WERE RACIST" !!!!!! see the letter I sent Lowes with details of the interaction. To Lowes Customer Service: I am writing this letter to provide feedback on a situation that I believe was handled very poorly by not only a Lowes manager but their 3rd party vendor that works for them. The store is the Marquette Lowes location and the 3rd party vendor was for appliance delivery. Order # 202868007250390188 I purchased my Whirlpool refrigerator from Lowes last year and it did not work properly. I contacted Whirpool and they agreed to replace it. I opted to use the option of getting another one through my local Lowes. I went to the store and they had my information and I chose to go with the same model. I was surprised that I had to pay for it up front but did so to facilitate the exchange. The refrigerator arrived 3 weeks later and delivery was scheduled. At no time was I informed of the conditions for the exchange & pickup of the defective unit. Delivery date came and they gave me a delivery timeframe of between 3pm - 7pm. This was good for me. I received a call at 1pm stating they would be there in 15 minutes. I Told them that would not work as they were supposed to call 1 hr before delivery and this was significantly before their allotted time frame. I got a call from their manager about 10 minutes later as I was hurrying home(1 hour drive) stating he would just do another delivery before ours then deliver. This was great as it gave me time to get home and clear the driveway of snow. They arrived at about 2:50pm and came in to look at the installation. Even though neither spoke good English I told them that the refrigerator was still full and I wanted to make sure the new one was not damaged before unloading it. They went and got a strap to move my defective refrigerator and started to tip it at an extreme angle. I immediately stated again that the refrigerator was full and they stood it upright and at that point they looked inside and everything started to go bad. one of the movers immediately started talking angrily in a foreign language and cursing to the other and pointing at his watch. The other mover stated that the refrigerator was supposed to be empty. I reiterated that I wanted to make sure the new one was not damaged before unloading it and that no one told me they required it to be empty prior to arrival. I then attempted to call a manager at Lowes as this was escalating quickly. I was unable to contact one and then the movers manager called and they gave me their phone. Our conversation was more about why I didn't have my refrigerator empty as it was required. I stated that no one said it was required prior to delivery even though we had coolers set up ready to empty it quickly if needed. I stated I wanted to inspect the new one first. He said I could go and look in the back of the truck and I agreed to do so. I told him I was on hold for a manager at Lowes at which point he said "take it back", he then said "give the phone back to my guys" he told them to take the new refrigerator back and not complete the delivery. They left. I called and was finally able to talk to a manager at Lowes in Marquette and relayed the stroy as was witnessed by my wife. The manger said I was supposed to have it empty. I stated at no time while ordering the replacement refrigerator, nor anytime thereafter were we informed of the need to have the refrigerator empty prior to arrival. The words she used next were unacceptable to a customer. she said it was like we were "HOLDING THEM HOSTAGE" We were the ones held hostage as we had no recourse and no replacement refrigerator! She said she would arrange a delivery at my convenience and after a pause for her to check she stated that they would not deliver my refrigerator! Absolutely terrible customer service and forcing us to endure delays , inconvenience and the cost of my having to take time off work to facilitate this exchange. We were the hostages and abandoned by Lowes! We have had delivery issues with Lowes previously as well and the language barrier between them and us is absurd for customer care. I hope the manager's conversation with me was recorded for quality assurance as she needs education in customer care. She totally decided the 3rd party movers were right in what they did! She apologized for us not knowing or being informed of the delivery requirements. Proving Lowes was at fault and this is what started the entire scenario. Twice this summer we purchased things in closed boxes. One was a refrigerator/freezer. We picked it up, put it on our trailer and brought it home 60 miles. Upon unboxing it, we found a 12" crease in the stainless steel door. We had to go all the way back to return it and pick up another one. The second was a Deer Antler Chandlier, brand new in a sealed box. Drove that same 60 miles and when we were ready to hang it, we noticed that the chain to hang it was missing from the box. Instead, there was a full bag of locking nuts that weren't even needed for the install. Since I had a used chain I used that. The light was wired from the light to a light switch 10 feet away. The bulbs were installed and the ta-dah moment revealed that one of the 6 sockets did not work. The install took 1 1/2 hours that I'll never get back plus another 120 mile round trip to bring it back for a refund. While waiting in line for our refund, the guy in front of us was returning a brand new in the box Kohler toilet. He got it home and found it to be cracked in half. The Customer service rep at Lowes apologized for the inconvenience but that doesn't really help with the time and money we had to spend to correct items that they sell. The only time we will ever shop Lowes again is if Menards doesn't have what we need. Plus, I will never buy a major item at Lowes again unless I open up the box and inspect it thoroughly. Heed the warning. Open, Inspect and never expect anything more than a general apology for the inconvenience. read more

Wow, did this Lowe's screw up our delivery. Avoid ordering from them AT ALL COSTS. Only half the delivery came on the scheduled date. The other half seems to have been lost in aether. We've received countless notifications that our order is ready for pickup even though it was SUPPOSED to be a delivery. We tried to pick it up on multiple trips as to not further delay our project, but it's been a massive struggle. The staff is super friendly, but they don't seem to be empowered to do anything to actually fix the situation. Can't believe how terrible this experience has been, I would expect a national chain like this to have it a bit more together. AVOID AVOID AVOID. read more

Bought a Frigidaire fridge from here, it worked for about 3 months then died. Service technician came and fixed it multiple times until finally pronouncing it dead and deciding to replace it. I bought it 08/2020, it is now 03/2022 and i still do not have a fridge, just a hole in my wallet where the money used to be. Ordered high end carpet, on a sale that included free delivery, installation, and removal. When I got the contract there was a extra $511.50 leveling charge. No explanation. I called the store and asked for an itemized list of the charges. Some of it was mileage which is fine but these were completely outrageous! 1. $150.00 disposal fee (so they will remove for free but not dispose) 2. $100 fee to cut carpeting out around the fire place and $47.00 fee for seaming,(Am I crazy or is this not part of installation???) 3. This is the best one ...$202.50 for removal of soiled carpet (apparently they only want to remove new carpets) When I called Lowes to discuss this - I was told if I did not like it that I could go somewhere else. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS STORE! I have purchased large orders from both Lowe's and Menards for a remodelling project. I will now be a life long Menards customer after my experience. First of all, the delivery system they have is garbage. It's unorganized, expensive, and scheduling is very limited (you will gauranteed have to take a day off of work to accept delivery, assuming their delivery truck isn't "broken down" again). They also seem to be interested in customer service ONLY if it means they will make more money. Most of the customer service associates are probably good people but seem to lack knowledge and experience in their departments. I've heard "I'm new here" several times while shopping in the departments. read more

Great products poor customer device. Try charge $130 for delivery to my area even though they are delivering several items to my area that day then try to give me an 8 hour window for delivery. I have to work so I can't sit here all day. When I call to tell them I have to work and they can't deliver until a specific time they say "it's a problem". No when you are paying ME $130 it can be a problem, until then you can come when I available if you can't give me a two hour window when I make the purchase. read more

Terrible customer service, bad experience overall. After waiting MONTHS for a range I ordered (it was a black Friday deal) along with the gas hookup, I called the day before delivery to make sure they don't forget the hookup. They still forgot it. Then the manager had the gall to act like he was doing me a favor by overnighting it, and wouldn't even give me a coupon for my next purchase for the trouble. We placed an on-line order for pavers, paver base, sheetrock, and several other items. The interface between Lowe's national on-line ordering and delivery scheduling office, and the Marquette store seems like it needs some coordination, but the staff in the national location and in Marquette were all extremely helpful and customer oriented. Rob, the Marquette Delivery Manager, Jenna, and Matt, our delivery driver, were all very competent and friendly. Our place is about 2 1/2 hours from the Marquette store. It did take a while to schedule the delivery because of the distance and a problem with the delivery truck, but once the day was set, Matt arrived right on time and helped me put all of the items where I needed them. We thought the delivery charge of about $166 was reasonable considering the distance and the weight of the stuff we ordered. All of the items arrived in perfect condition. We would not hesitate to order from Lowe's again. read more

Lowe's in Marquette were great! I had a bathroom remodel and their design expert pulled together the design and she arranged for the contractor to come. He would have started ahead of schedule except there was a snow storm. He was pleasant to work with and tidy. We are very happy with the results. read more
