A great time was had by all! My daughter, grandson, son-in-law, his mom and I (all first-time pickers) had a wonderful day at Prescott's today. The weather cooperated with a clear, sunny day with temperatures in the mid-70's. We washed our hands and read the rules before following our guide to the assigned row. Did you know toddlers are excellent spotters? Could be because they're closer to the ground. The fruits of our labors (see what I did there) were vine ripe, fragrant and sooooo sweet. Having been raised in Miami, Fl, I'd never been strawberry picking. I searched for farms around me and Prescott's is liked by all. When you drive up, you'll park on the grass and wash your hands. Let them know at the shed how many buckets you plan to pick, we went for two buckets since we're first timers. They'll give you a strawberry lane and let you know to move the flags when you're done picking, so the next pickers won't come up dry. We had a great time.
